Final Update: After further investigation, I will no longer come here.

This is my 2nd time getting carry-out from here and probably my last. I ordered steak fajitas, 3 taco platter, 3 enchilada platter, and a side of sopapillas at a total cost of $ 49.00. My complaints: 1. All meals were cold. 2. Lime wedge garnish looked like it had been sitting around for a week. 3. Fajita steak was cut thick and hard to chew. 4. Sour cream, pico de gallo, and guacamole were supposed to be included but never got packed in the bag. 5. Sopapillas were cold, tough as leather(stale) and obviously had been sitting around for awhile. 6. Mexican Rice was undercooked and crunchy still. I would’ve been happier eating a Swansons Mexican TV dinner! I will definitely be taking my business to another place down the road. Don’t eat here!

Mid to upper level Mexican dining. Move aside don Pablo, don lencho has you beat. A unique atmosphere above and beyond the typical Manassas Latin food standard. They have low, mid and higher price range options on the menu, So splurge if you’d like. I opted to split the mega sized burrito challenge. It was scrumptious indeed. Five different types of meats, beans rice, cheese and enchilada sauce stuff this ~4+lb burrito. Don’t think it’s all filler because it’s not. Shredded Chicken, lamb, beef, ground sausage, but the shredded pork comes through the most. carbs yes, but definitely lots of protein too. I’ll be eating the leftovers for days to come. Oh yeah and enjoy your free chips and salsa Unilocalers.

So I’ve visited Don Lencho’s 5 times before writing this review. 1– not the best location, but always plenty of parking 2– chips and salsa are excellent 3– Taco Tuesday is amazing, all taco’s are flavorful, fresh and delicious 4– service is great and everything I’ve ordered has been very good For me it’s the best option near old town Manassas for authentic Mexican food, taco Tuesdays, and good drinks.

The service was exceptional. The waiter recommended a the cheviche along with my corona and it was fresh, tasty and well worth it. I had the steak, shrimp, scallops with beans, tomato, tortillas and a couple of other sides and it was fantastic. Not to mention the fresh salsa they bring to you moments after you sit down with endless fresh chips. All together an excellent place. You wouldn’t normally think about going there as its location isn’t great(except the abc store next to it, you can’t be disappointed about that). Will definitely go back for more appetizer, more entrees, and the flan i keep reading about.

Wow! Do not let the location allow you to miss this fantastic, authentic Mexican restaurant! My wife and I gave it a try based on other Unilocal reviews and we were completely impressed. Service was attentive, while relaxed and friendly. They have a couple local breweries on tap. The food was tremendous. Fresh, delicious, authentic! If you want to discover a hidden gem, go in. Our waiter was Marlon and the owner Rolo even checked in at our table. Great menu. Clean modern restrooms. Nice décor. Good music. Treat yourself!

This was a very good Mexican restaurant. For the price you pay, you get more than your money’s worth. This is the first time I have been to a place that serves their salsa warm. It was different and I certainly liked it! I would recommend this place to others in the area.

Can’t believe I’ve lived here as long as I have and I have never been to eat here. Came in for lunch today after seeing the ratings, and they were all right. The flautas on special were AMAZING. I had vegetable, chicken, and potato flautas and I scarfed them down. The enchiladas were also satisfying and adequately portioned. The waiter checked on us enough without smothering us, since we were the only people here after all. The sopapillas with ice cream were so delicious. I would definitely come back here again to try more of the menu. I even made the embarrassing«When Harry Met Sally» noises while eating, so you know it was good.

I have been here five times now. I usually come for the specials and I like the sangria or Cadillac margarita. No frozen here so respect the tequila. It’s in the Mathis Plaza strip mall. Seating for two is along the wall with oversized chairs made of leather and rattan. They are pretty comfy. The rest of the restaurant has typical chairs with padded cushion seats. They bring warm salsa and chips once seated. The salsa is mild. I ordered fajitas this time but in past they had a great shrimp dish with a red sauce that had a hint of chocolate. Tonight’s fajitas were good. Grilled veggies were good with tomatoes which I love. A few leeks too. I also has the red sangria. Good luck finishing the fajitas! A large order with rice that has veggies in it with black fried beans complete with a grilled poblano pepper, and of course fixings of lettuce, Guac, pico and sour cream. The servers are always prompt and polite.

Located in a shopping plaza in Manassas… I’m so glad I came across this place on Unilocal! My friends & I were at Heritage Brewing Co. and got hungry after downing a few beers. I looked up a few places on Unilocal and saw that Don Lencho was open until 10:00PM. It was around 8:45 at the time, so we rushed over to this restaurant. Although it was pretty late, the staff was very welcoming and never rushed us to take our order. The complimentary chips & salsa were pretty good — standard chips. although a bit oily. The salsa was more on the liquid consistency, but tasted good and spicy! I’m always looking for that kick and it definitely hit me with it. I ordered the Plato Tipico, which consists of grilled steak, avocado, plantains, beans, rice, and a triangular cut of their«house made» cheese(tasted like cotija?). Also served with a side of corn(or flour) tortillas. The portion size was great! The steak was well seasoned and cooked right. I was surprisingly impressed with how good the meal was. My sister also let me try some of her chorizo from the mixed grill plate and it was full of flavor and yummy as well. Oh I also really enjoyed the beets mixture and carrot mixture that came with the dish! Definitely different, but added a nice sweet element to the meal. Definitely a place to try out if you want a Mexican meal without the overpricing of Uncle Julio’s or Americanized twists on classic dishes.

I had the Plato Tipico. Carne Asada with array of other food such as fried plantains. This was amazing! I also had their melon con piña which was delicious. Being from the West/Southwest I don’t typically find Mexican food that I love on the East Coast but this place is very good!

Very yummy. Came across this place looking for tacos here on Unilocal and decided to give this place a try. Pretty easy to find, tucked in the middle of a strip mall. At Saturday at about noon we were seated right away, the place was fairly empty. They brought out warm chips and salsa. I tired their horchata which I wasn’t really a fan of, I can’t seem to find it like how it is in the West. My husband got a pineapple melon drink that was delightful. I would almost go back for that alone. We got a «large» size of their guacamole. It was not a lot, we devoured it up pretty quickly as it was fresh and very flavorful. Just wish there had been more! I got their tacos — one Fish, one Carnitas and one Lamb, that came with rice and black beans. All of it was very yummy. Sometimes fish and carnitas tacos can be too greasy with the meat as its fried but this was not the case with their tacos. Very yummy and flavorful. And the lamb was incredibly tender. My husband loved what he got and basically scrapped his plate clean — he wrote his own review so feel free to refer to that! We both really loved this place and look forward to coming back. But it’s certainly on the more expensive end of things; we spent $ 54 for the two of us, including tip, which is considerably more than what we normally spend when we go out. But the generous portions and high quality food is well worth the price.

Authentic, delicious Latin food in Manassas! This place has great food, great drinks, great service! I’ve been here 3 times and every time has been awesome! A friend recommend this place and I’m glad she did… It’s easy to miss. My favorite lunch entrees are the chicken enchiladas, tamales and carnitas tacos. All have delicious flavor and taste like homemade. I love their corn tortillas and their chips that come with warm salsa. This past Saturday I came for brunch. We had a great, attentive server and the food was awesome! My friends enjoyed the tacos and the lamb shank. I had the desayuno typico(carne asada, huevos ranchero, black beans and plantains). OMG… So delicious!!! I highly recommend this traditional Latin breakfast. It was so flavorful and mouthwatering. I washed it down with 2 house margaritas which were strong and tasty! This is a hidden gem in a random Manassas strip mall has awesome food! Go here!!!

You get a sense of what a mexican restaurant is going to be like with the salsa. This was like poblano, dark and lumpy and not much flavor. The chips were fresh and tasty, wish I had some better salsa. It was late afternoon on a Sunday and there was one other couple. The service was extremly slowy. There was a seating hostess, a waiter and then another lady that was either owner or manager. This was the mexican four step. Get Seated. Then someone brings the chips, salsa & menu. Then they come and get your drink order Then they come back and ask if you have questions about the menu & take your order. Their fish is talipia… not. I ordered the chicken tortilla soup. Very little chicken, mostly chips and slices of zucchini with a slice of avocado; not very flavorful. I orderd three tacos, all flour tortilla. Pollo, Carne Asada & Pork. They were tiny as the pic indicates. The refrios were like they were shaken from a can, dry and flavorless. The rice was dry and no flavor. I did get regular refills on my soda. I like that the dinner service is clean and they have cloth napkins. The dining room is large, open and colorful. It would have been better if it was not so dark. They have an extensive menu and they serve brunch on Sat & Sun from 11a to 3p. I may give it another try.
