Prices and selection are good however woman behind the counter has something up her ***. Terrible manners and customer service. Better off going to a liquor store before heading down to the shore.

Spirit isn’t my favorite place to go in Manasquan because the prices are definitely inflated for everyone that comes down for the weekend needing beer and alcohol. WIth that being said, they have a wide range of beer from 6 packs to 30’s to kegs. They also have tons of wine and liquor that if you’re into trying new things, you could spend a lot of time walking the aisles. I usually only go to Spirit when I am in a pinch needing some beer, other than that, I make my decisions closer to home where the prices are more normal.

Before you meet the tanned girl of your dreams at Leggetts, The Parker House or Edgars, you will need to pre-game. A lot. This is pretty much where all the beach house peeps buy their alcohol for beer pong/flip cup pre-gaming before they hit up the bars. Not expensive at all, and the workers are cool as ish. You will probably(and by probably I mean definitely) see the girl you’re gonna hit on later in the evening at the bars, buying her pre-game ammo.

I really like this place. They have a great selection of wines and beers, including beers from smaller breweries out of the area. The pricing isn’t bad either. I pay almost the same as I would back on the west coast for most things. Also, the staff is really respectful. I’ve had negative experiences at other liquor stores in the area where someone wouldn’t let me carry cases of beer for my grandmother because I didn’t have my id on me. Not cool and a good way to get rid of customers and hurt old ladies’ backs. Anyway, no complaints against Spirit of 76, I think they’re awesome.
