My daughter, Lisa, broke her two front teeth clear off when she was six years old. She was a patient of Dr. Paperth at the time, and he bonded her teeth and they looked almost as good as new. At the time, he told her to be very careful, and not to do anything to ruin the integrity of the bonding, such as biting into an apple, etc. He told her that if she was very careful, they may last 2 – 3 years. Well, she is now 34 years old, and after years of biting off bottle caps, etc… the bonding finally broke off! Thank you Dr. Paperth for the many years of Lisa’s smile!

My son had 2 cavities in his 2 top front teeth. His teeth had started to chip away and we needed help fast. Dr. Paperth fixed his teeth and they look great now, but it was a mixed experience for us. My son was 2 ½ when he got it done and they gave him a liquid medicine to drink(noctek) I think they called it to make him feel«drunk» so they could do the work. It was kind of hard to get him to drink the«medicine» because it really smelled gross, but he did it and soon he was feeling pretty loopy. We did have to strap him down to a board to make sure he was still during the procedure, but I was there the whole time and he was really compliant while they did it. He started getting uncomfortable toward the end, but they finished up beautifully and I was surprised how quickly they were able to do the work. The ladies in the office were very nice and good with kids. Lots of praise for the boy, but they were confident and firm with what they expected of my son. The Dr. didn’t seem confident with children at all, which surprised me because he’s an older gentleman who’s been at this for a long time. When he described the procedure, in front of my son, he was very wishy washy about it. «We’ll have to see how it goes… sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t… I hope we’ll be able to get through it…» I wish he would have been confident and positive in front of the baby and then let me know his reservations about it without my son being able to hear. I’m glad we had the problem taken care of, but I don’t think he will be our regular pediatric dentist.
