What an amazing dinner!!! Where to start… the calamari and shrimp app was unbelievable. Spicy but kind of sweet too. And a great sized portion. No fighting over who’s getting the last bit. I actually dream about that appetizer! The steak Murphy was ridiculously delicious. Also spicy but smokey sweet. Our server was Kate who really was a pleasure. She knew the menu well, made great recommendations, and was very nice. A bit pricey but well worth every penny. All around great experience.

Food is pretty good, but the service had been atrocious the past few visits. For me service is just as important as the food. They need to reinvest in their business, most of the tables are cracked and starting to fall apart. Looks like the owners are resting on their laurels, no reinvestment in the restaurant and no training of the staff. No Thanks

Good food, service slow. Waiting area in winter is awful. They take too many reservations for large parties, but don’t move the people quick enough to turn over tables. Winter waiting is awful because it’s such a small area, and it’s freezing in the waiting area. Stuffed rigatoni. Great. Eggplant rollatini great. most of main dishes good. Deserts…meh ! Not a great selection!

Disclaimer: I’ve actually never sat down at a table and eaten dinner here, so this review will be about the experiences I’ve had with takeout! Takeout is typically very speedy, especially with this restaurant being busy so often. Everything is fresh and delicious when you get it too. They even include the classic garlic bread! As for food recommendations, the plain pizza is super good! If you’re feeling adventurous, get the grilled pizza with arugula and prosciutto. It’s very different than the typical pizza since it has no sauce. I hope to be back in the future for a sit down meal at this amazing establishment!

This restaurant is excellent. We had a reservation on New Year’s Eve for a party of 9. We were well taken care of by our waiter, Travis. The food was great, service was great. No one left hungry. This was our first time to eat at the restaurant; however, we were with family members that are repeat customers. We had pasta, veal, steak, chicken, and seafood and all were delicious.

We had out office holiday party here. Good food and attentive and friendly staff. Not the best setup for a group function because there the space is very open. BYOB.

Lubrano’s has great food, but it’s overpriced… especially the pizza. Case in point — I recently ordered a large margherita pizza and I was charged around $ 22…FORONEPIZZA! Unfortunately, I’ll probably be going elsewhere for pizza from now on. It’s disappointing because I live so close to Lubrano’s I’d love for it to be my go-to spot.

My wife and I went to Lubrano’s with another couple on Monday 9⁄14. We had reservations for 8:00, got there a few minutes early and were seated by 8. Our waitress, Kate, and the rest of the staff were courteous and attentive. It felt like family! The complementary rosemary bread was excellent and the table was set with oregano, red pepper, Parmesan cheese, and olive oil for dipping. I had the escarole and bean soup and my friend had the pasta«fazul». Both soups were hot and delish. Salads were just as good. Go for the house«mixed» dressing. It is excellent… as good as any fine restaurant. Dinners were very good… tasty, hot, and plentiful. Courses were brought out in good timing… no rush but no long waiting either. Kudos Lubrano’s. Please open another in Bergen County.

Went there with my family for my birthday dinner… we were 7 plus an infant our server chris was a gentleman and quickly seated us. this establishment is BYOB and our server was quick to get us a bucket of ice and glasses for our wine… and from that point on is where the wheels fell off the wagon… service became very sluggish. We had to ask for a refill on bread and water 4 seperate times before the bus boy stepped up and took care of it for us… delay between courses was to long approx 25 mins between salad and entrée i ordered linguini putenesca with diavlo sauce it was medeocre at best lacking in flavor… had to use old glasses for the shrimp tails and clam shells as they did not give a bowl for the scraps which is customary with a seafood entrée… we brought our own cake and even with the bill being several hundreded dollars the establishment felt the need to charge for cutting and serving our cake… which i would totally understand if it was just a party of two… .but not 7… this is the first time i have been there in a very long time… i will try it once more before i write it off i always give second chances unless i get food poisoning lol… the pros you ask??? Balsamic soaked fried calamari was amazing and the cutting board app was on point as well… till next time!

Love Lubranos! My favorites are the Italian egg drop soup, chicken parm pizza, and chicken franchise! The wait can sometimes be annoying– I went to lunch there today and it wasn’t busy at all but there was only one waitress and a few of the guys helping out here and there. We were in there for quite a while. But at the end of the meal we all left happy and full! Super friendly staff! Plus the place is always pretty clean!

Standard BYOB Italian restaurant serving the normal expected fare. Lubrano’s has a very large menu which is great when you’re out with a group of people with different tastes. The restaurant is a large room that gets noisy quickly. When you first walk in, you are greeted by all the pizzas on display and they look yummy! There are booths lining the outer perimeter and tables in the rest of the place. When you make reservations, you can request a booth… They serve fresh made focaccia loaf within 10 minutes of being seated which is to die for. Perfectly seasoned and warm AND not too dense. We ordered the bruschetta which has about 6, 1 inch thick slices of toasted Italian bread with melted mozzarella topped with diced tomatoes and a drizzle of olive oil. We also ordered the peasant bread with sausage which had about 5 long, flat slices of sausage cooked in a lemon, garlic white wine sauce with a small loaf of bread seasoned with the same seasoning of the focaccia. It was tangy and very good. Both appetizers can be easily shared with 2 or 3 people. The main entrees we got were chicken parm, which was very good and large — served one full flattened chicken breast and a hearty side of pasta perfectly cooked and sauced. The other entrée was chicken Murphy which had medallions of chicken cooked with cherry peppers, potatoes, onions in a brown sauce. It was spicy and tasty. We were so full that we couldn’t get dessert, but they have a nice selection to choose from. Everyone working here that we interacted with was very friendly. Our server was very nice and checked in on us a couple of times. Nothing out of the ordinary. Overall: Ambiance: 3 Food: 3 Staff: 3 Noise level: 2

We went here today on a business lunch… the bread that was delivered to our table was phenomenal. …we immediately started dipping this into the olive oil… this was worth the trip… I ordrred the Trattoria Salad with Grilled Chicken… this was very good… at this point no one was paying attention to the service… we were indulging. …the service was very good and it was a very pleadant atmosphere. …it is also a BYOB… we will be back…

Just your average meal, absolutely nothing special. The few times(3) we have been there we ask ourselves why we went back. Always feel like they’re doing us a favor if that makes any sense. Service is inconsistent– salad and apps show up in less than 5 minutes then the wait for your meal. Think I’m done.

Are you Italian? Do you live in Jersey? Did you think nothing of eating a place in a strip mall? Pizon! Come eat this northern italian-american delicousness. Everything I’ve had here, including pizza, has been a treat. The pasta is cooked al dente whether it’s black squid ink pasta or regular olé ravolis. The service can be a bit wanting but come here, mostly, on busy days. They are doing the best that they can for the amount of people & food they have to serve. You can’t be mad but sometimes you just want more water please. BYOB! Make a reservation to avoid waiting!

Came back to Lubrano’s after a lengthy hiatus and our server Ryan was a rockstar. Ryan ensure that our salads then appetizers came out quickly, spaced our meal properly, refilled our waterglasses without needing to be asked and made sure we had everything that we needed during his mutiple visits. We will definitely be back again!

We had reservations for 6:30 on a Friday evening and were seated within 15 minutes, so no complaints there. The place was bustling all night though, and we were there until just after 9 pm by the time we finished dessert & coffee so the reviews about the waits for food are pretty accurate. We didn’t mind though… we were in great company and the food was exceptional. We ordered the pizza with prosciutto & arugula for an appetizer and it was absolutely delicious! Really hard not to just gobble the whole huge thing down but we knew to save room for the rest of the meal. We also split a spicy shrimp appetizer which was crazy spicy — my mouth was burning for 10 minutes after I tried it; too hot for me but everyone else loved it! For the main course we had Linguine Pescatore which was sumptuous and full of scallops, mussels, calamari, shrimp & clams in a light tomato broth. We also had the Spicy Salmon which was seasoned just like the spicy shrimp and my husband loved it! The other couple also got fish dishes and raved about them. After reading the reviews, and even though we were stuffed from our dinner, we felt compelled to order the nutella bomba. It was good, but a little heavy; not sure I’d order it again when they have so many other delicious looking sweets. One other diner in our party ordered the crème brûlée’ and was disappointed that it was cold & rather loose. Overall, a really great meal. Definitely will return.

I work nearby Lubrano’s and whenever my office is ordering lunch we automatically grab the Lubrano’s lunch menu which can be found here: . Every entrée comes with their delicious home made bread, and is HUGE. I normally get two lunches out of one order. Additionally things are reasonably priced. My favorite lunch menu item is the Rigatoni Alla Vodka($ 11.95), which comes with a side salad.
