Brielle Bait & Tackle Shop

Stopped in today. Very «Personable» and «Friendly» Service. Purchased live green crabs and brined clams. Both– were unusually fresh and did not have the rotten smell. Will be my place to go to whenever I’m in town.

Nice staff here. Took their time to get me the fishing supplies I needed. This will be my go to tackle shop.

Brielle Bait & Tackle is a license agent for NJ Division of Fish and Game. They are one of the few agents in my area that have shellfish licenses available. I specifically went to this shop to obtain the shellfish licenses and did so.
I got into conversations with some of the employees about current fishing opportunities along the shore and the offshore boats. I was given a a good overview of the successful fishing available. Species with a low success rate were pointed out specifically. Overall the report was not too promising. I felt it was an honest report with no type of current sales motivation in the report. A sure way to get me to return for a purchase some time in the future.
I saw advertisements for rod building equipment and classes. The shop had a pretty large inventory of rod building and repair equipment on display.
When you are in the area and looking for equipment, bait or information Brielle Bait and Tackle is a good choice.
