Our go to spot on the mountain. Love the location and convenience when skiing. We have had all sorts of drinks, Bbq and this week even full breakfast — great huevos ranchero and pancakes! Always decent food and bartender Cathy is always friendly and fast! Only negative –It gets packed as do all the eateries on the mountain!

Small little café to stop at for some grub after shredding the gnar. Like all of mammoth though, we’ve wised up and never actually EAT food here. Way too expensive. Like the other café’s here, they’ve gotten rid of the free hot water, so you can’t bring cup-a-noodles. Well, that’s not true, I think they charge you $ 1 to fill up your bowl of soup if you want that option. But we’ve opted to bring our own meal. Awesome sliced bread from schats, deli ham, some greens, and avocado. So, one can really save money since most of our dough goes into this dang expensive lift tickets, not to mention the hotel and gas to travel here. Sorry I digress. So my reason for giving this place 3 stars is the Garlic Fries for $ 9! Lover bought this thinking it was the bestest garlickly fries ever, and the were! But seeing them now, them changed the recipe a bit. If you look at the previous garlic frie pictures, you’ll see chucks of garlic sprinkled all over the fries, one picture was in 2009. Our fries seemed to only have garlic essence or garlic oil, but no real chunks of garlic. BOO! For $ 9, this was a POS! O well, now we’ll know to never salivate thinking about this garlic fries. Tips: Like all cafes around here, don’t come around noon on a weekend. It’s so crazy!

It was so fun watching everyone ski in front of me. Great place to chill out and have a drink! It has a beautiful bar and café. Very kid friendly and also adult friendly. Everything is easy there! Nice fire place and outdoor bar. We will stop there again.

Love this place, especially, since it’s right at the bottom of a few lifts on mammoth mountain! I love the fireplace they have inside, but wish it was slightly larger since it’s always super busy! Have only been here for drinks, but they have been tasty just expensive. Great customer service!

Located off Stump Alley this is our favorite spot to meet up with friends skiing on the mountain. Nice outdoor seating area and bar. The chilli cheese fries are the best! Cheese burger with pulled pork and chilli is huge and good to share. Friendly service.

We had the chili, cornbread, and tuna wrap. I don’t mind paying a lot for food on the mountain as long as it’s good. This was basically mediocre overpriced cafeteria food. Also major bummer — barely any indoor seating. I’d rather eat a PB&J on the lift.

It’s a good stop between runs if you need something to eat or drink, have to use the restroom or just want sit outside to give your legs a break. I prefer it in the mornings as a breakfast stop with a short stack of pancakes(4 stars) because there’s a only a few people and feels cozy and quiet. During the lunch rush, it’s busy and hard to find a seat inside since it’s small compared to the lodges. So we had to keep an eye out for an open spot in order to enjoy our pulled pork nachos(3 stars). It was funny seeing how comfortable people got that I saw two people take off their ski boots. The Mammoth staff is friendly and ready to help you with your order or clear your table.

The tri-tip sandwich was amazing. The prices are too high and there is no customer service, hence the 4 stars. The chili cheese fries were also just OK.

Had to take a break from snowboarding, so I stopped in this place for a beer! Grabbed a nice IPA! Food smelled good! Talked to the nice waitress and the cool ppl at the bar! Then went back to the slopes! Word

Their smoked tritip and turkey are the bomb! The pulled pork too — best food in the mountain.

I wasn’t expecting to get a nice, tender meaty sandwich when I walked into this place. The tri-tip sandwich did not disappoint. Meat was perfect and I was really surprised. Got it with grilled onions then topped it off with BBQ sauce. It was really good. My vegetarian husband got the veggie wrap. They put a ton of jalapeños in his sandwich and his mouth was on fire, but he said it was flavorful. They had a couple options for him on the menu, but nothing crazy. Place is a tad bit chaotic and we ended out eating at a table that was dirty from someone else sitting there before. We had no other options. It was a nice day though and we enjoyed watching the skiers come down the mountain while eating our food.

I love parking here when at Mammoth. If you can get here early and snag a close spot you can’t beat it for convenience. It’s a good a mid point between Canyon and Main Lodges and I like its smaller chiller vibe. It has a small but decent café, bar, bathrooms, fire pits and other areas to take a break. On a nice sunny day the plastic lounge chairs out front are an awesome place to take in the scenery and drink some beers.

Great stop in between canyon and main. A large deck and fire pit outside. A nice fire, bar and café inside. Every Friday this season, starting at 1, they have a dj, drinks promos and whiskey punch. «Boots and barrels» My advice. Try not to come here at lunchtime but grab a bite at 11 or 2. This location is also a great place to park the car and avoid the crowds at main.

I appreciate the central location and easy access. Lounge chairs, fire pits, tables, water, and alcohol. Mammoth Brewing was on tap, and thankfully it was their Epic IPA. $ 10 for a larger cup. Good enough.

My favorite Mammoth Lodge. Stopped at the Mill Café for a break and discovered they had Taco Tuesday. Huge Carnitas tacos for $ 1 and Busch beer for $ 2(flat with no tax added). Fresh salsa verde on the side. Dos please. Really cool rustic lodge that is conveniently located at the bottom of Stump Alley. Highly recommend.

I consider myself to be a somewhat regular at Mammoth, and this is one of my favorite spots for lunch. Food: OMG. this place has the best entrees by far. BBQ meat plates are the standard fare here, but they have all sorts of other goodies. Often have specials(Taco Tuesday, Cinco de mayo, etc etc). 2 Bars for easy access to your beverages. Layout: Not much space indoors; gets super packed, especially on cold days. There is an outside fireplace and outside bar, which limits the née to go inside except for food. Restroom is easy outdoors access. In general, Mammoth food isn’t too expensive. Yes it’s a resort, but I’ve seen much worse. McCoy is our usual #1 spot just for convenience, but I’d put this food as #1 anyday!

The Mill is most definitely one of my favorite places to eat. It is located smack dab in the middle of Gold Rush Express and Stump Alley express. While the Mill isn’t huge, they are really successful in creating a fun place to eat. The food/dining area inside is actually quite small… The inside dining area fits no more than 25 people and is really hard to sit at… The good thing about eating inside is that is complete with bar, fireplace & hooks to hang all of your stuff. If you can’t get inside, outside is nice too. There’s a fire pit, tables and chairs splayed throughout the patio, an outdoor bar & beach lounge chairs for those looking to sit for a second and get a quick drink. Getting food at the Mill is just like every other café on the mountain. It is cafeteria style ordering with payment at the cashier station. The mill is a little cramped in space though, so be prepared to wait in line and bump into people at every turn. The food here is my favorite of all the mountain cafes because they have BBQ! On this particular trip, I had the BBQ pulled pork sandwich, my hubby had a burger & we shared a small fry basket. If you’re into BBQ that’s not too sweet, you will love the pulled pork sandwich! The pork is tender, melty with just the right amount of smoke. The coleslaw on top is just the right flavor also… A little creamy and not too sweet. My hubby’s burger was delicious also. It was grilled on a flat top griddle and the patty was HUGE… Like 3 in-n-out patties combined!!! The fries were also pretty good… The small is definitely enough for two to share! Pros: –GREAT Food –HUGE portions –Cute indoor dining area –Cute outdoor dining area Cons: –CRAZYLINES at the bar AND for food –Not much space to move around in cafeteria area, so bumping into people(and possibly spilling) is VERY likely –Tables can be really hard to get… It’s like a mall parking lot on Black Friday!!! Prepare to stalk people for tables! Tips: –The ranch here tastes very mayonnaise-y –Have a friend from your group sit and reserve a table while others are getting food.

On a sunny day, it’s great. On a not so sunny day, crowded and cold. Service can be slow, but that’s really to do with the place being quick-service /made to order than fast food. I like parking here/hanging here, and it’s convenient to Main as well as Canyon, but it’s on the small side and can get packed. If it’s a warm day, you can park in the lot and tailgate/grill/eat too!

First time I’ve been on this side of the mountain and in my opinion this is my fav spot for food/drink. It’s a bit quieter(just a bit), then McCoy and Main Lodge which was perfect because I spent most of the weekend by myself and this area was a perfect spot to enjoy a beer during my breaks. They have an outdoor grill with the BESTPULLEDPORK sandwich… I ordered it everyday. tortilla soup — good fire pit :) Bartender was so sweet and friendly she left an impression I think her name was Cathy.

Pulled pork nachos, Mai Tai Mondays, Taco Tuesdays, full bar inside(they make a great Bloody Mary!), a fire pit and deck chairs outside… Anyone not remotely excited by those factors need not apply. The Mill manages to maintain a more chill atmosphere than the behemoths such as Main and Canyon, even when it’s completely packed. Grab a bunch of friends, snag some chairs or the fire pit if you’re lucky enough, and have a blast in between a day of shredding. You can’t go wrong here. Caution: Drinks are surprisingly strong(most of the time). It’s easy to get carried away. Mai Tai Monday. Happens every time. ;)
