Our family of 4 stayed at condo 54 for 4 nights over the Christmas vacation and it has been a disappointed stay. Yes, location is the only plus I could think of. Unit overall is filthy and dirty. Bathroom has blood stain and dirty floor. Bedroom linen has hairs left. Curtain and many household items are dirty and dusty. Kitchen utensils and glassware has stains or food particles left, some glassware were clearly broken. Fireplace didn’t work, spit smoke back into the unit. Overall, we would not recommend this place and will not return!

stayed here with a group of 9 friends for a weekend Mammoth getaway and had no problems with my stay in the Summit Condominium complex. we were on the top floor of the complex and right across the street from eagle lodge. decent location and def walkable to the eagle lodge part of Mammoth Mountain but still needed to drive into town or into the village if you weren’t going to spend the day on the slopes. we were provided 1 covered parking spot but it was not a problem to secure permits for our 2 other cars that we parked in the office parking lot which was a short walk to our unit. the condo fit the 9 of us very comfortably and everyone had a place to sleep. 3 bedrooms with queen beds in each room plus a pull out double sofa that actually accommodated 3 people since the couch was oversized and the extra cushions served as another bed haha. condo had 2 bathrooms but the jack and jill bathroom set up was a bit weird especially when you are sharing a bathroom with other people. it became a problem when your side of the bathroom door was locked and then you couldnt get into the restroom without having the people in the other room unlock your side for you — not a huge deal but did cause some inconvenience. kitchen was fully stocked with dishes, cooking utensils, pots/pans, and even a crock pot. we definitely used the kitchen to our full disposal and an added bonus was a working dishwasher haha. one of the reasons why we booked this particular unit was for the foosball table located in the living room. it provided a great source of entertainment and fun for us, but unfortunately caused a lot of noise for the neighbors below us. the neighbor was really cool when he asked us to keep it down but apparently this has been an issue and the owner has yet to do anything about it… which seemed to be a consistent theme to our stay. felt like the owner could have left us better instructions about the place i.e. please be mindful of neighbors and the foosball table noise haha. we also couldnt find extra blanets or pillows for the sofabed and of course on the last day when we check one of the linen closets in the bathroom and there they were haha. the owner was pretty cool and refunded us our deposit back no problem but some guidance would have been appreciated. overall though had a fun time and this place was extremely affordable for us. would come back.

If possible, I would rate this place negative stars. I will make a list of every defect or problem with the condominium, then later go into detail. My family and I stayed in unit 7, Emerson building. Problems 1. Defective fireplace 2. Smoked in 3. Toilet drips 4. Couch was extremely uncomfortable 5. Couch bed extremely uncomfortable 6. Dishwasher not secured properly 7. Shower door stuck 8. Toaster did not release toast 9. Poor lighting 10. Uncomfortable master bed 11. Décor very out of date The ONLY good thing: location I will start with night one. My family and I see no problems and see this as a comfy condo. As night approaches, we pull out sofa bed for father. My sister and I sleep in the master bedroom. We are awoken periodically throughout he night with a loud dripping noise coming from the toilet. We even close the door but the noise continues. That morning when closing the sofa bed, I had laid on it and felt one of the worst things in my life. It was so bad that the following night we all had to sleep in the master bed. That day we had tried to use the fireplace, then see that the vents are permanently closed. We don’t know exactly how, but after the fire was out, others would try to turn on their fireplace and the smoke went to our condo. We are smoked in. The smoke is so bad we were woken up with not only the toilet but with the smoke and the residents upstairs. Our eyes are watery and we are coughing. We consider calling the fire department. Then the smoke went away. The following night, we receive even more smoke, so bad we have to open the door that leads directly to a snowy, –10 degree lanai. Great! Then on our last night we get the most smoke we’ve had. Again woken up with up stairs, toilet, smoke, and the freezing outdoors. Every morning we had toast. The toaster would not release the toast, therefore we have to pry it out with a fork. The dishwasher not properly secured, and starts to tip when both racks are out. The lighting in the living room is so bad, you can hardly see your clothing. One shower door would not open, and the other was very hard to slide. I will never in my life return here, even if my life is on the line, because it already was with the smoke! As I said before, the only good thing is the location. It is very close to eagle express. I advise everyone to not come here.

We stayed at unit 7 in the Emerson building between christmas and new years 2012. We must have gotten the worse condo in the complex. its very outdated. The sofa couches are incredibly uncomfortable for sitting and a torture for sleeping. You can feel all the springs and metal bars from the frame. The condo fills with smoke from neighboring units and it is like a toxic gas chamber. We had to keep the balcony door open and had to wear jackets to stay warm. What a joy. The toilet drips and provides all night torture. The toaster keeps the toasts and you have to wrestle it to get them. The dishwasher tips over if you pull both racks. Lighting is really bad and carpet is vintage 50’s. It is dirty and smells. Shower doors get stuck. This place is a toxic chamber. It needs to be red tagged and not rented until the smoke issue is resolved. It is outright dangerous. If it wasn’t for the incredible snow, our ski vacation would have been a nightmare. You are better off going to a cheap motel. At least you know what to expect.

This place is so fabulous that we’ve stayed here for the past 5 years. The units that we’ve stayed in were spacious with fully equipped kitchens and bathrooms. The beds, sofa beds, bunkbeds, etc. are ok for the most part, but this isn’t a 5-star resort so don’t be a princess and get your hopes up by expecting a memory foam mattress with mints on your pillow. The Summit Complex serves its purpose by providing a comfortable place to stay, is walking distance to the Eagle Express lift, it won’t cost you an arm and a leg, and(GUYS — you’ll appreciate this one) you don’t have to dig your car out of the snow since there’s underground parking. What more can you ask for when you’re spending a few days in the mountains, playing in the snow?
