We got a Caramel Apple with Chocolate chips on it, and it was the best I’ve ever had. It was extremely fresh and not overly hard to bite like a caramel apple typically is. VERYGOOD!

Paid for $ 20 worth of chocolate and half of it was complete opposite of what we asked for. Paid $ 3 for a «mint» truffle and got the gingerbread one next to it. Gingerbread chocolate, no thank you! :P She also reached for the raspberry chocolate and we said«NO raspberry» «ok no raspberry» …yet we still ended up paying for and getting two disgusting raspberry. She was not very helpful either, I asked for a chocolate truffle, she was unable to find it and I had to find it myself. To top it off it was very hot inside there, left me sweating in my winter clothes. For a chocolate shop, it can use some serious help in knowing thier chocolate. Very disappointing after looking forward to some good chocolate, and I take my chocolate serious!

Yummy chocolate and especially love the dark chocolate bears with almonds. Prices are expensive though, but if you are craving chocolate this is the place to go! I love the caramel apples too. You really can’t go wrong with anything you order, since it’s all yummy chocolate.

Some candy is really over priced in here, but it still tastes good — so I’ll give it a 4. The employees are really friendly and helpful though. I like the cute place too

Cute little shop in the«mall» with a plethora of candy covered apples and fudge galore. The staff is very sweet and helpful. Ask them to cut the apples for you as it makes it tremendously more easy to enjoy.

I have been coming here since I was a kid and it has not changed. It is still as amazing as ever. All I can say is peanut butter rice crispy treat with chocolate chips! I love coming here. Everyone is so friendly and they are usually making something awesome. They always have samples. The fudge is probably some of the best I have ever had. We also got some turtles and almond bark. I am sure those were good because the BF ate all of it. I also got a giant peanut butter cup. OMG good. Do not miss this place if you come to Mammoth. It is such a special treat. A little pricey but the quality of chocolate will blow your mind. This is not Hershey chocolate.

sooooooo super duper yummy… ive been coming here for years and years… I remember coming here and spending my hard earned allowance when my family would come and visit when I was in elementary or junior high. It is awesome if you come when they are working on their confections as you can see them make whatever it is and buy it that fresh or potentially get a sample. I have literally watched them make things for as long as i could when i was a kid. That would equate to maybe 15 – 20 minutes. Well I went again this last weekend with my daughter and we both oogled and ooed and awed the tasty morsels that were there. So the munchkin was told she could try something and she ended up ordering one of the chocolate covered marshmallow sticks. This had three marshmallows on a stick and dipped in either milk or dark chocolate. She got the milk chocolate and let me have an itty bitty nibble which was awesome. However she inhaled it faster than she can destroy a capri sun, which trust me is much faster than you can. I also got a walnut bear(think a giant turtle), a bit of mint oreo bark, and a white chocolate haystack. Wow they were all great and the munchkin was a lil hesitant about the bark but did try a nibble and then her eyes grew wide and she enjoyed it. Literally I dont know if there is anything bad here. I havent ever tasted anything bad. I have always had excellent service. This place simply just kicks AZZ! SOCOMEGETSOMETASTYVITTLES, You will love them I promise… Seriously who doesnt like a handmade sweet now and then?

When I’m not at Mammoth, I dream about these caramel apples. When I’m at Mammoth, I eat these caramel apples. The apples are crisp and sour. They have a dazzling variety of flavors, from plain caramel to crazy Oreo– or M&M-based monstrosities. The shop also has many other delights like fudge. Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory is the cherry on top of each trip to Mammoth Lakes.

We have been coming to Mammoth’s Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory for years. First as a child with my mom and now with my daughter. This is a must stop for us after snowboarding and before driving back down the hill to Bishop. I love their caramel apples, milk chocolate caramels, and chocolate bars. Service is excellent and always comes with a smile.

Susan(the owner) is the most amazing person I have ever worked with. My fiancé at the time and I met her last October the day we got engaged. We went in looking for candy apples. We got to talking to Susan and she mentioned making caramel apples for our wedding for each guest. Months later we contacted her and I sent her color swatches for our wedding. Susan mailed me two options of ribbon and then color coordinated our 107 apples we needed for the wedding with our wedding colors. They were dipped in carmel then white chocolate and drizzled with Turquoise and Chocolate brown and hand tied with ribbon. They turned out amazing and were exceptionally priced! Guests are still raving about how amazing the apples taste and what a great idea it was.

I don’t shop here often, mostly because of the price. However, if you set that aside, this place has some of the best chocolate and sweets. My go-to here is the caramel apples, which seem to take up half the store. When you take something good and cover it with something better, how can you go wrong? They make the caramel for this in-shop and it is AWESOME. The apple pie one tastes exactly like it’s namesake, and my friend swears by the English toffee one. Some of these monsters must weigh a couple pounds! If you have a sweet tooth and you don’t do cheap chocolate, this is your place. Orrrr if you pissed someone off and need to get on their good side :)

Stopped by here for my daily truffle fix during a 4-day visit to Mammoth for some hiking. Good stuff indeed. The chile one is my favorite for sure.

Caramel Apples drug through Cookie Chunks, M&M’s, Chocolate Chips and Other Delicious Add Ons. Frozen Bananas, Fudge, Heck, All The Chocolate Creations. Once in Mammoth, I start hearing, «When are we going to the Candy Store???» The Answer? As Often as We Can. What can I say? Just Makes ME Happy.

Friendly staff, cases full of chocolate… the only way to be better is if the chocolate was free. :)

Great stop in the Minaret Mall. Apple selection is great and always good(never had a mealy one in 10+ apples). They have another location in the Village, both owned by the same family. Dependable, great choco that beats most other shops… only choco shops in Mammoth. Hit this place before a movie and you’ll get free movie free movie reviews from the counter girls!

I loved this place 3 years ago and bought my Toffee Carmel Apples only from them. This year is another story. Very disappointed. I don’t know if the apple was previously frozen, but it looked great, so I bought one. Yuk! They apple was mealy. I went back there 3 days later to let them know something was wrong with their apple choice, but turns out seems like ALL apples either bought from the store or here are all mealy. Must be the climate changes. I will try again in the spring 2012. Right now, I’m stearing clear. I’ll upate later.
