The history at winged foot is hard to match. Love the story of «dr mulligan» and the club house is like a museum. Course is challenging with brutal greens caddies are a great help here. As expected the course is magnificently maintained. One of the storied logos in golf.
The 18-​hole «West» course at the Winged Foot Golf Club facility in Mamaroneck, New York features 6,956 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72. The course rating is 75.2 and it has a slope rating of 140 on Bent grass. Designed by A.W. Tillinghast, the West golf course opened in 1923.
