Cigars are not for everyone. But if you enjoy one now and again and again and again, you should make it a point to try Hatuey. I think they still own a tobacco farm in the DR and make their own cigars. You won’t find any name brand sticks here, they are all private label.
The upside is you can grab a really enjoyable cigar for a third (or less) than you will pay at most cigar shops. Plus you have the ability to sit on a comfy leather chair and enjoy one of the many TV’s or strike up a conversation with anyone in the place. Cigar smokers tend to be a chatty and friendly bunch.
Staff is helpful if you need a hand. Definitely a place to return to.
