I really wanted to give this place 5-stars. When I walked in, I noticed their set-up was almost identical to my favorite spot in San Francisco, Salon Belle Linda in the Richmond: However, the set up and the skill level was about all that was the same. I’d noticed the salon there a few days before when I was just driving around and exploring the area. I asked my friend if she’d tried it and she said she hadn’t, but that she’d tried a couple of others in the area. I figured since she’d not tried it and had given lukewarm reviews of the others, that I’d check it out. They were able to take me pretty much right away. The woman who did my manicure, Cookie, was great. I mention her by name because she was the friendliest person working there. If this were just a review for her, I’d give her 4-stars. Unfortunately, this review is for the whole business. The others were civil but nowhere near as warm or nice. A different person did my pedicure. I’ve been getting mani/pedis for years at this point. I had the best mani/pedi salon in Seoul and went there literally for years. I KNOW awesome service and this wasn’t it. He did what he had to do but took no special care. In fact, after the pedicure, I went to the restroom and noticed that a bit of the scrub he’d used on my legs he’d not wiped off completely. No worries. I was heading home to shower and change for dinner, but still… what if I were going to head somewhere directly from there? Sloppy service and not worth a second try unless I can book Cookie for both the manicure and pedicure.
