Nice place for a warm evening. Amazing location overlooking the Zuma beach. Loved the wine and the garlic fries. The service can be improved a little but overall the experience was amazing.

Have come here on a few occasions since I live about 45 minutes from Malibu my partner and myself make an effort to come to this place whenever we have a special occasion to celebrate. The last time I visited was June 21st2016 a few days ago, since it was my birthday and we were on our way back from Santa Monica we made sure to save room for this place. I ordered the Rigatoni Pesto and my partner ordered the Spaghetti Carbenara, both were very tasty and the combination of carbs and a beautiful Southern California afternoon make Spruzzo’s a special date night for us. Not to mention the views from the outside provide an outstanding view of the Pacific. Food is good, service is alright, every time I have come here I have received decent service but it could be friendler and more welcoming.

Was able to escape the valley heat and grab a meal with my Girlfriend and her family at Spruzzo’s Restaurant & Bar. Just from the view of the shopping center, you wouldn’t noticed this really nice restaurant located on the second level. With a great deck view of the ocean and the awesome weather, we sat outside and enjoyed a good meal. I ordered a blackberry gin & tonic drink before my meal and it was subpar. My girlfriend had a special mojito and that had a lot of great flavor. Food: Overall the food was good. We decided to split a Chinese chicken salad, a margarita type of pizza, and some apps from for the table. As far as appetizers, we went with calamari and grilled artichoke. Both appetizers we good but I enjoyed the calamari’s sauce components to help balance the flavor. They give complimentary focaccia bread, which is not my personal preference but everyone seemed to like it at the table. The dinner had a lot of hit and misses. I thought the pizza was mediocre at best. It was was not crispy nor was it warm. However, the salad, was big, flavorful and I really enjoyed it. I don’t believe I am too much a fan of the food here. It is just okay overall. I would give the food alone-3 stars. Everything combined(atmosphere, location, service, and food), I believe Spruzzo’s Restaurant & Bar is like a 3.7 out of five. I would not go back on my own but it was decent enough to come back to. I feel like this kind of restaurant probably has a menu item that I will really enjoy & that will bump the 3 star to a 4 star review. Thanks for reading and hope you enjoyed my review.

This place was the most delicious and convenient place to eat in all of malibu. The staff was super nice and they were more than accommodating. They have a great menu with a wide range of dishes compared to Malibu café or paradise cove. The whole experience was pleasant. I ordered the pesto pasta. I highly recommend ordering that dish. They also bring bread and oil to the table, which I love.

I came here and I ordered the fish and chips dinner and it was very delicious. I also recommend for those who drink the Blackberry Gin Tonic, it is sweet, but it has a kick to it and you will get a buzz. I will be back.

I’ve been coming here for years! Best place by the beach hands down! Never overpriced always great service. Alex & Carlos are the best! They even let my dog sit next to me(on the outside patio) lol Partabella mushroom marsala chicken & calamari are to die for!!! Italian wine & calamari are the best mix. Overlooking the ocean on the second floor.

The staff here is wonderful. I’m a nursing mom and they were all very accommodating with my diet restrictions. So grateful to our waiter for making that such a wonderful experience. His amazing service will bring me back!

Great patio dining experience with a wonderful view of the Pacific(Zuma beach) Ocean. Bright sunny umbrellas shade tables that are not too small for the plate ordered. Prices are very reasonable and the waiter staff is friendly. A little slow from the kitchen, but that may be because I’m a little impatient.

The service was great The food was really good The patio and view were awesome The things that ruined the entire experience are little bugs that showed up and were EVERYWHERE! They were on my hair, my clothes, me, my guest, and I’m sure in my food! Every time I looked down they were all over! They ruined the whole afternoon. Yuck! I would never go back unless it was to get takeout.

Setting: Spruzzo is on the Pacific Coast Highway(by Zuma Beach) and located on the second floor of a shopping center that includes Malibu Fitness, Malibu Ranch Market, and Charter Communications. You can enter from their outside patio or from their front entrance. We wanted to sit outside to see the sunset but the patio was closed :( Food: The restaurant serves salads, sandwiches, pizza, pasta and entrees. Their pasta and pizza dishes looked amazing. Judging from the pictures on Unilocal, their pizzas are huge! In the end however, my friend chose the spagetti carbenara and I chose the rigatoni pesto. We also ordered mozzarella sticks as an appetizer. It comes with a total of 8 mozzarella sticks. They also give out free fresh bread. Yay! The pastas were delicious and came out super fast. The rigatoni pesto had chicken and sun-dried tomatoes. The tomatoes were a nice touch to the dish. The spagetti carbenara had spagetti sauteed with italian pancetta, black pepper, and egg yolk with Romano and Parmesan cheese in a creamy alfredo sauce. Both were a good size plate and very rich and filling. Both dishes were also $ 15 each. I feel like you can’t go wrong with those dishes so if you can’t choose what pasta to get, those two are safe choices. Service: We were allowed to seat ourselves. The waiter was friendly and service was fast. Parking: Not a big deal. It’s in a shopping center so plenty of parking in the front.

Ok. You all know how picky I am. Well today business brought me down into Malibu. So I thought I test out some local color. Turns out this quaint little resteraunt holds a charm all its own. Beautiful ocean views with increasable gourmet food. Not at all what I expected from a wine fire oven side freeway stop off. Truly a hidden gem with charming owners. All I can say is wow.

Lovely restaurant with a lovely view overlooking PCH/Zuma Beach! This is located on the second story of a building directly in front of the beach. I loved finding this place a couple of years back but have found that the service and quality of food has gone down. I was just there for dinner after the beach this weekend, and ordered the mushroom risotto and my hunny got a salad. Both LOOKED great, but tasted very bland. The risotto was just not thoroughly cooked and had too much chicken versus actually rice and mushroom. We got seated outside, and were not told our waitress was on break. We were sitting there for 30 minutes before actually approaching a waiter(who walked by us 10 x but did not stop) if he could take our order. I’ll come back only for the view, and maybe give there food another chance because I love being able to relax here.

My parents love coming to Spruzzo and I’ll usually tag along. It’s a really beautiful setting, nice ambiance, and a relaxed feel. They take reservations which is nice and there’s a lot of indoor and outdoor seating. The service is always very friendly and since the menu is big, the waiters will usually recommend their favorites! The food is good, it’s nothing super special but everything is very tasty. The thing that sounds out the most here is the grilled artichoke appetizer. It’s grilled with balsamic and comes with a pesto aioli that is to die for. The salads are really good as well and they serve generous portions. The eggplant rollatini is one of the better pasta options here too. It’s angel hair pasta wrapped up in eggplant with a fresh chopped tomato sauce. I would stay away from the portobello mushroom sandwich, it’s really bland and not worth it at all. The dessert here is just ok, the best one I’ve had is the lemon cake. Overall Spruzzo is good, I come for the ambiance more than the food.

Ambiance: very nice and relaxing. The view is breathtaking. It is definitely not a super fancy restaurant. Prices: very reasonable granted you have an ocean view, definitely not pricey Food: uhm not bad. I had the shrimp scampi and filet and the shrimp was very very salty and the filet was way overcooked but still delicious. We had a bunch of appetizers which were good. Service: service was slow although we were the only ones there and i think one more party inside, they could have been more attentive, we constantly found ourselves looking for the waitress. We had gone for a birthday dinner and they brought us two slices of cake which was nice of them but we were a party of 8. Not sure if i will be back, the food wasnt amazing, service wasnt that great, only the view was gorgeous.

Its not easy finding a spot to eat on the weekend in Malibu. Especially because parking is an issue. After searching around for 30 min. our trusty app led us to this place located on the 2nd floor of a shopping center. To our surprise, it turned out to be a decent spot. The restaurant at first glance doesnt seem like much and I would imagine fancy people would bypass it but it is really good. We ended up ordering a pizza and a salad for about $ 30. Pizza is big and a medium can be shared between 2 people. It is not authentic italian pizza quality but still good pizza. I would recommend this place if all other beachfront places are packed.
