Man, I wish I had other options. Honestly, this place has me missing my old local Vons in TO, and that is a low bar. This place is small, and it seems to have a good-sized deli section and tons of organic/gluten free junk, if you care about that. Unfortunately, I’m a mom of four living on a budget, and the selection for the stuff I’m looking for is spotty. Sales seem to be similar to what I experienced back in TO, and the milk is usually a really good price, but prices in general seem higher than what I paid back in the Conejo Valley. Produce prices are okay, but the staples selection is really small. Flour/sugar/baking products don’t have many options, and base prices are high. I guess it’s clean, but I seem to be coming at times when they’re stocking shelves, so it often feels cluttered to me. Some employees are friendly, some are not. Definitely not the upbeat, welcoming ambiance of any Trader Joe’s or even the Ralphs stores in Westlake and Thousand Oaks. Lots of rude, entitled customers(not the store’s fault, but it takes away from my desire to shop there when I have been cut off, repeatedly, in line by posh customers – who cuts in front of a mother and four children in line to check out?!). And I may be the only Malibu resident who cares about this, but they don’t accept printed coupons. I get it – rich people don’t coupon, and neither do rich college students, but I use coupons quite a bit to stretch our food budget. Today I tried to use berry coupons sent directly to me by Driscoll’s, and I was told that the store doesn’t accept printed coupons because of fraud. As I get lots of coupons emailed to me and use places like quite a bit, this was really a bummer. Their store coupons on their app are not great, so it’s not like they have a better option. And the cashiers were really accusatory about it, too, like the fact that I was trying to use coupons at their store was somehow suspect. I felt really icky walking out of the store. I guess since there’s no competition, they don’t have to worry about keeping their customers happy. Well, this one isn’t happy.

The most affordable socal grocery store without a doubt. Go to the grocer in Trancas CM20 minutes west and everything is literally 3−4x the price(no kidding), not to mention the Pavilions in dume also doesnt have beer(who doesnt have beer!?) The protein is always on sale bc all of malibu besides me is vegan-lol.

So we were late getting up the coast for a concert and hungry. We decided to stop and grab a quick meal at Ralphs. We thought we would be stuck with something boring and bland. We sure were wrong! The food available was such a nice variety including Tri-tip. Everyone was so helpful and nice. The store was well organized, and clean. We thought we were going to have to eat in our laps in the car but again we were surprised! When we went outside with our food there were actually table and chairs. We sat and enjoyed our quick meal and had some great people watching moments. There were no spectacular views from this location but you were reminded every moment that you were in Malibu by the numerous Range Rovers in the parking lot.

Your typical Ralphs store with the all the necessary Ralphs supplies but more cleaner and customers using their Ferrari, R8 to park and shop here. Restrooms are on the second floor and kept spotless.

I’ve been coming here for a little over a year now and I must say, this is clearly the best Ralph’s that I’ve ever been to. The story is always clean, very organized, never cluttered and has the best employees that I’ve come across in a really long time. In addition to all of this, they have EVERYTHING here that you could possibly be looking for in a grocery store. Everyone is attentive and very helpful in every single department. This is a rarity in most grocery stores that I’ve been to… my experience here has consistently been both a pleasant as well as refreshing surprise.

Great place! Anytime we are in town this is one of our first stops to stock up on groceries. Ralph’s is always clean and has very friendly service. It is in such a convenient location as well being right off the PCH in the heart of Malibu. You may even bump into a celebrity!

Definitely no reason to complain about a Ralphs location, especially in Malibu! So much cleaner, nicer, and un-crowded unlike Glendale or Burbank. Love this Ralphs location!

It took Maria 24 minutes to make two sandwiches. 24 minutes to lay a piece of meat and some cheese on a slice of bread. It probably would have taken her 4 minutes but the lady spent most of the time staring at me with a blank look on her face. HIGHLYDISAPPOINTED

Cashiers always look mad, and are not friendly. Unfortunately, I have to keep coming here until Malibu gets their act together and opens a Trader Joe’s. Thank God I don’t live in Malibu, I just work here.

I will start this review off with. I’ve been coming here since I was a kid before it was even Ralphs market. With that said moving on to the review. Upon walking in it’s nice, updated and inviting. They recently went through a remodel and it went very well. Things may have moved around but that’s expected and it was for the better. The selection is VERY large and if they don’t have something you can just ask for it to be ordered. I’ve done this numerous times. Once they order something I then find it on the shelf stocked. The deli has a large selection brand of Boar’s head. Along with pre-made foods for quick bites. The deli is clean and the staff is professional and very knowledgeable about the options and selections they have. The Bakery. The bakery obviously is always best in the morning. They have a large selection of everything from bagels, donuts to pastries. I’ve also had custom ice cream cakes made for Birthdays and they’ve always done a fantastic job. The Meat/Seafood department. I buy A LOT of meats and seafood regularly. The selection is great and the deals/sales they have are different each week. I cook a lot and can say the quality is good from here. The staff especially is awesome in this department. VERY helpful and professional. The produce selection is great. VERY large organic section as well. Much bigger than most Ralph’s markets I’ve been to. I’ve dealt with many employees here and all of the management. I can say that this store is ran properly. And it stays true to the Malibu local feel and environment. Overall I would highly recommend this store as your go to place for grocery’s in Malibu. The staff is outstanding and the selections are above and beyond. And like I said if they don’t have something, they’ll get it for you. And the next time your there it’ll be stocked on the shelf.

I’m writing this on behalf of my employer, Sharleen Cooper Cohen. She went to the deli needing a last minute order for a meeting, and was helped by Lorenzo Ordez. He went out of his way to not only help her, but went above and beyond making everything look fantastic, and very professional. We all keep coming back to this store, because of exemplary employees like Lorenzo. Thank you!

I’ve been shopping at this Ralph’s for 7 years, I must say I love the experience! the customer service is superb! I’m vegetarian and buying fresh produce is the highlight of my day I go about 4 times a week. Carlos who works in this department is always so helpful and friendly, always has a smile and always happy to help me. Although I haven’t seen him in a couple weeks, Hope he’s back soon My experience hasn’t quite been the same.

On a late night cruise down PCH we decided to stop by here for some healthy snacks and also to use the bathroom. Like any grocery story or Ralph’s near my house it’s got everything you need. This particular Ralph’s looked very tidy and clean. Not too many employees working on a Saturday night but still got the necessary snacks. The bathrooms were nothing but clean with no complaints. Bathroom: Aisle 5. Upstairs. You’re welcome.

Ralph’s is a chain supermarket. There is no real difference in products here than anywhere else in Socal. The big draw to this Ralphs is there are very few supermarkets in Malibu, so that gives it an extra star. 4 stars’ Note: The bathroom is in the back center up a flight of stairs. There’s a note on the door asking not to bring carts into the bathroom. Who the hell would drag a card up a flight of stairs? I want to see that video.

Stay away from the deli area. I go there for lunch often not because I like shitty service I go there because it is sometimes faster then other places and it is a cheap lunch for Malibu. I often get the lady who can not speak any English. I ask for simple things like 2 fried chicken thighs and she keeps saying breast. A fellow employee heard us and even told her«No Brest she wants a thigh». And she just gave him a blank look. I eventually got what I wanted, but she also gave me a wing? So today I got a pre-made sandwich so I did not have to deal with any of the deli people and the bread had a little mold on it. :(

I like this Ralphs. It’s in the Malibu Colony Plaza. I’ve never had trouble parking here. I live in downtown L.A. but I enjoy the parks and beaches in Malibu. I mainly come here for snacks and picnic supplies. I love the sushi counter. They seem to have a nice assortment and it’s better than most grocery store sushi. When I go by in the afternoon there is usually someone behind the counter making sushi. It’s very clean. The staff is nice & polite.

This establishment is so clean, well supplied and pleasantly staffed. I wish all grocery stores were like this. I think everyone is as happy to be working in Malibu as I am. The sushi is as good as grocery store sushi gets. Just as good as Wholefoods. PC Greens is a great place too. I endorse both but I visit here much much more often as it’s located in very close proximity to my place of employment.

From my experience, the one thing that has always bothered me about this store(Malibu location) is that they seem to only put the old, «on the verge of expiration» bad produce on sale. But really, what good is a sale when the produce is almost inedible? Obviously this is an inconsiderate money-saving business strategy, but nevertheless, I wish the manager would put on «real» sales that actually give quality to the customer while simultaneously saving them a little money, rather than advertise reject produce with the false pretense of a great sale. I accept that due to it’s prime location prices will be higher here than elsewhere(but I wish quality wouldn’t be lower). On a side note, the cashiers and workers are always friendly, kind, and helpful :)

Good location, fast lines and clean inside. The four self-checkout machines almost always have an opening if you are in a rush. They also have CRV redemption machines right outside so you can bring your cans/bottles etc here to get your drink money back. Hard to find staff to ask for help though.
