Super casual take-out window in Malibu Lumber Yard offers burgers, veggie burgers and falafel. I have had the veggie burger and falafel salad and fries, all good. Prices are very affordable and there are plenty of tables adjacent to the restaurant for outdoor dining. Good cheap eats in an upscale locale.

I have two words for you: chili fries. These are some of the best(though probably terrible for you) I’ve ever had. The fries are crunchy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, oily in the best way, and doused with a pile of rich chili sauce and melty cheddar cheese. It’s not gourmet. But it is delicious.

No, their falafel sandwich is not authentic but it’s SOYUMMY! After seeing such bummer reviews about my beloved Mutts Falafel, I decided it was time to update my 7 year old review. Here are a few things to know: *If you are expecting falafel balls in a pita pocket with a tahini based sauce, this ain’t it. *It’s rolled in a whole pita & wrapped in paper, do NOT unwrap it! You risk an awful mess if you do. Tear the paper as you go. *Order it with extra sauce — it’s more like a yogurt dressing, a tzatzki without cucumber, if you will. *There IS good amount of lettuce & cabbage but it lends a nice crunch. *If you want to go REALLY non-traditional, add cheese… so worth it! Again, this is not a traditional falafel in a pita pocket but I think if you know that going in, you’ll find a deep love for The Mutts unique take on it. The falafel is the reason for my 5 stars.
