Can’t say enough good about these guys. It is your quintessential neighborhood hardware store. Always the same staff. They remember us. They are super friendly and helpful. If they don’t have it, they try to order it. Oreo/​Domino the cat is the only lazy employee. These guys all work really hard. Been shopping here for 3 years and will continue to do so.

Cheapest propane exchange this side of the Palisades!
No really. $ 19.99 to exchange here and around $ 27 at other spots. Buying a new canister is more pricey, $ 40 something.
I called ahead to evaluate whether they might be able to help us swap out our empty container for a full one and they were really helpful over the phone and in person. Friendly, good selection of all kinds of stuff including lawn related items (plants, wheel barrels, planters) and stuff to renovate bathrooms/​fix pipes — the usual hardware stuff. They also have a cat which ups the appeal. Easy parking too in a little shopping area with lots of fancy shops.

I generally leave Malibu for any serious shopping since most local businesses believe they are required to rip off the «rich» residents of this city. Anawalt however is not that. I mostly patronize the garden section, where selection is generally good along with prices. I have also purchased paint, plumbing parts and general home repair items at competitive prices. I don’t see many people in there at times so try to stop by so they keep the doors open.

I am a contractor. I like to shop locally to my jobs. I really like the people here, but I their special order desk sucks. They hardly return calls. I have to do their work for them. It takes forever just to place an order. Their prices on special orders are competitive but the process of placing an order is an ordeal. They need someone who knows customer service on the special order desk.

Needed some colored duct tape for some boots, and these guys were open so I pulled in. As soon as I entered the store, someone was there to greet me and point me in the right direction. Everyone was really friendly, and while the prices were higher than expected, it wasn’t outrageous. This place is also super clean and organized! Thanks Malibu Hardware & Supply! You’re awesome!

Great little hardware store in Malibu!
A bit of an odd location, but it’s central, so that’s good.
I came here looking for lightbulbs, which I know nothing about, so thankfully one of the employees here was able to point me in the direction of what I was looking for.
They sell fig and persimmon trees here, I want those so badly! One day!
Saw a cute cat hanging out by the fruit trees. I love the small town feel of Malibu :)

Walked in to get some paint! They didn’t have the exact one but the people there were nice and helpful! I will definitely come back if I need something to fix!
