BEWARE– THISPLACEISHORRIBLEDONOTGOHERE if I could give this place zero stars I would. Infact I’m pretty sure the two reviews on here are employees of the salon. I had an appointment and was on time they made me wait 3 hours to be seen while taking other ppl who came in after me before me. When i asked when id been seen they were extremely rude then to make matters worse the woman I had burned my scalp and was ripping through my hair. I had clumps of hair pulled out of my head and missing patches… i could go on… WHATEVERYOUDODON’T GOHERE find a different salon.

As soon as I walked in, someone greeted me and asked what I wanted. I came in for a relaxer and a trim. The lady went to the back of the salon and reemerged with another lady who immediately sat me in the chair to get started. It turns out that I was getting my hair done by Andrea, which was relief insofar as the only reviewer on Unilocal stated that she went to Andrea. Andrea is quite pleasant. The salon has a special on Mondays and Tuesdays in which Olive Oil and Affirm relaxers are $ 45. I asked Andrea to decide what she felt was best for my hair and she went with Mizani. The application was smooth and thorough. No burning. The trim came out great. I have bangs and she trim them as well as the rest of my hair perfectly. They have the super fast/hot dryers(also the regular ones) so the drying time was speedy. My hair felt great. Not over processed. Still felt thick(in a good way). I would definitely go again. The salon has an open layout. There is lots of light. It felt quite comfortable. My bill was $ 65($ 55 for the Mizani and $ 10 for the trim). I think the relaxer was slightly cheaper today. I think all relaxers are slightly discounted on Monday and Tuesday because on the price list in the store a touch-up relaxer with Affirm/Mizani/Ashtae says $ 60 and up and I was only charger $ 55.

I could sum this review up in one sentence: What salon do you know of that is reasonably priced, does an awesome job(I would only book with Andrea though) AND allows you to bring your stroller-strapped kid(s) to an appointment? That’s what I thought. I’ve patronized this salon 3 or 4 times. I would have rated 5-stars but I don’t have a back up to Andrea. She did a blowout on my hair when the humidity outside was high and my hair stayed straight for a week before I had to touch up the edges with my flat-iron. Some stylists don’t speak much English, so if you see that you’re about to get a service you didn’t request say«No thank you.» Also, street parking is limited and short(only 1 hr). I also advise against going on Friday without an appointment because it is standing room only, unless you’re at the door when it opens.
