I rarely stop in here, but on a snowy day I was out running errands and stopped in. I’m not one for fancy drinks, so I simply ordered a cup of coffee with a caramel shot. It was SO good that I was driven to write about it. I love to give credit where credit is due. Fast service, and a delicious cup of caramel coffee were worth my time to write this.

When it was called Grinders I went there for their toasted coconut frappé, it was amazing! I was disappointed to find out it was no longer Grinders but I decided to try it anyway. Their toasted coconut frappé was DISGUSTING! It didn’t even have any toasted coconut on it and didn’t taste anything like toasted coconut. I couldn’t even drink it, it was HORRIBLE. Very disappointed! Oh, and I went through the drive thru & the chick was not friendly at all. She acted like I was getting on her nerves.

Experienced barista here! love winans. All of the baristas are great, very willing to make things not on the menu if you’re picky! Have non dairy options :)

The chocolate was very good and had a nice variety. The coffee had great taste but was just warm. I would stop back by for the chocolate but skip the coffee.

Although the coffee had decent flavor, all the beverages were Luke warm from the first sip. The pour over method was hokey at best. The staff seemed unprofessional and lost. We probably won’t be back.

In a pinch I’ll stop in for a coffee. But nothing beyond that. I was very excited to see that they were offering a London Fog when I stopped in several months ago. However, the barista had no clue how to make it. Hmmm. The next time I stopped in a couples weeks later there was a different guy and he made a great London Fog. It was perfect. So I decided to go back for another one several days later, different guy again and I ended up with a tepid water/milk mixture that I just ended up dumping out. I haven’t been back. This place was originally a Kidd coffee, then Grinders. And they were both fantastic. Winan’s is not really a coffee shop. The coffee seems to be an after thought. Sad.

Sugar free snickers. …Wonderful. … The chocolate is fantastic as well. I may not be a coffee snob but I am a polite, friendly, nice atmosphere snob. Sooooo that’s what makes«me» particularly like this place. Hopefully you will as well.

Love my neighborhood coffee shop! Yummy coffee concoctions plus delicious chocolates– I go at least once a week. I’m not a coffee snob but definitely prefer the flavor of their coffees to Starbucks’. They also sell fresh coffee beans and chocolates by the pound/half pound.

Not good. I am a coffee snob and was horrified that they didn’t grind the beans fresh but instead used something that had been sitting around. The barista was nice enough but did a horrible job steaming the milk and basically had no texture or microfoam but was just hot. The end result was a very bad tasting latte. Had to throw it away it was so bad.

I loved going here when it was Grinders Coffee — they always made the perfect White Mocha. However the last few times I have experienced a serious decline in the flavor — a very bitter taste that isn’t expected from a white mocha — when I want bitter I will go to a larger more commercial coffee chain. I really want my old Baristas back and the bartenders there to be sent to a bar — it really is more of a chocolate wine shop with full bar and not so much a real coffee house anymore :(
