I love a diner, especially for breakfast. We just moved to the area, and I found this place on Unilocal. My son and I went on a Wednesday morning. The food was great, and the coffee was hot. Our waitress was nice and welcoming. Definitely be back.

I love finding new local places for breakfast and usually I will get a traditional egg-based meal, but this day chicken-fried steak sounded so good so I indulged, well at least by ordering. I was really disappointed when the plate was placed before me as I saw some preprocessed object(see photo). I could only eat a couple of bites, forced, hoping the taste would betray the appearance; it didn’t. Perhaps the egg-based meals are better.

We had great service. Friendly and fast. Breakfast was outstanding. We had an omelet and scrambled eggs and biscuits and gravy. We will definitely be back!

Great food! Their pizza is some of the best in town. Burgers are on point, service is exemplary — warm and welcoming and speedy. I haven’t tried breakfast here, but have heard nothing but great things. Affordable prices and very satisfying portion sizes. Village Diner is killing it! Highly recommended!

Great breakfast. I think the pizza is above average(if you like extra cheese and I do) and so are the sandwiches, but the breakfast is very good and reasonably priced.

Friendly, homey, clean. The pizza was very, very good but I was seriously jealous of a hamburger I saw walk by. Guess I’ll have to come back!(This is not a place for date night… I’m judging it against other diners, not fine restaurants or chains.)

Nothing fancy. Good people, good food and good prices. Prime rib is great but only on Friday. Just had the calzone and the crust was light and airy. My daughter’s kids meal cheese burger was huge and delicious and a gigantic helping of fries. Wife has the steak hoagie and it was good. Staff is super-friendly. 4 meals and a kids meal was under $ 50 and I’ve got lunch tomorrow with half a pepperoni/banana pepper calzone. Breakfast is good too.

Why is it that the cheese quesadilla’s here are waaaaay better than any Mexican restaurant I’ve tried ??? Amazing !! Friendly and fast service as well

This is a dive place, but the foods good and the service isn’t great, but it’s never been bad. I like the atmosphere and its worth trying for yourself.

The hubby and I drove past this place when we were moving into the neighborhood. Since they advertised pizza and that they delivered, we snagged a menu on one of our back-and-forth trips from our old place. We could have gone with one of the chains, but we decided that we would try a local place, get a feel for«downtown» Maineville. Our first time, we opted for pizza and had it delivered as we were unpacking. Hallelujah, they took credit card over the phone. The pizza was definitely good, thinner crust, but not super thin. Plenty of toppings & reasonably priced, even with the delivery fee. Since then we have tried other things… wings and other apps, some sandwiches, etc. But the true gems are the specials and the fried chicken. The chicken is good and crispy and the flavoring goes down into the meat, which can sometimes be lacking once the skin is gone at other establishments. The mashed potatoes and green beans as sides were good. And the prime rib… OMG! I decided to chance it… with a bit of a reservation. Can a hole-in-the-wall diner do right by prime rib? Oh yes it can! Now is it Jeff Ruby’s? No… but a 12oz. portion cooked to a perfect medium rare(as requested) with a flavorful au jus on the side… yummy. The baked potato had a nice amount of butter and sour cream and was thankfully cooked all the way(undercooked potatoes… another glitch I have had one too many times). I wish they had had a green vegetable that evening, but I had to opt for the cole slaw… which was meh. Healthy portion size, but I was just not a huge fan of the dressing, but that’s a personal preference. The hubby opted for applesauce and we both laughed when it came out in the plastic cup with the foil lid torn off. I told him that’s what he gets when he orders a side off the kid’s menu. But he said it was pretty good, it was the cinnamon kind. Breakfast was also good. Wonderful coffee and hearty omelets. Another shining star? The pies… sooooooooo good. Probably the only cons are the restaurant interior and sometimes the service. The inside is pretty rough, but we still eat in most times and we’ve learned to deal. And with it being a fairly small, local place, we have had to wait a bit at times if the waitresses are talking with the regulars. But in my experience that’s pretty common with small local joints. Note, none of these reasons has kept us from frequenting this place. Check it out!
