I’ve brought my Aussies here for four years and they’ve done a fine job. I went to several different groomers prior, however there was always either a dog handling/safety issue I’d observed or groomer inexperience that bothered me, but no such issues here. Anita, the owner, is a pro veteran groomer as was Tiffany who groomed my dogs. Tiffany went into a new profession so Hannah was recently brought in with experience, and she’s done a fine job as well. Aussie long hair plus the numerous tall oak trees on my property leads to many tangles and sometimes matting if I go too long between appointments, so in those cases they’ve done just what needed to be done with the stress level of the dog taken into account. On a couple of occasions they’ve had to clip small areas very short to avoid the stress of an long and stressful detangling, and that’s the right choice to make for what really amounts to my negligence. That’s what’s best for the dog. Normally it’s just a tangle or two though, so they will attempt to detangle and cut if necessary. Same way I’d handle it myself if I had the skills. Leaving my dog at a groomer’s shop is probably as stressful on me as it is my dogs, so I’m glad to have found a small shop staffed by seasoned professionals that I trust to maintain high industry standards of safety and performance.

I regret having to post this but I was SHOCKED with my dog’s appearance after his last appointment. Sheared like a sheep would accurately describe it. To be absolutely fair, he did have a few tangles under his legs but rather than use conditioner/de tangling products and techniques he was completely shirred down to the skin. They use the excuse that it’s hard on the dog but guess what, it’s also faster and easier for them and then they charge you the same amount. I felt that it was a complete rip off and my dog looks pitiful. I’ve never written a review like this before but in this case I feel that it’s totally deserved.
