All I can say is that it seems other reviewers agree with me on the oil topic… ordered a Stromboli and was appalled at the amount of grease that came out of it. I don’t know what other places do to fix this but they sure aren’t doing it. There are many choices in the area that are way better.

i don’t understand why a husband and wife would work together, especially if they fight all the time, and they do not hold back in front of customers, young children or anything. The place smells really bad to like beer that hasn’t been cleaned up in years!!!

I love this place. the owners are wonderful to visit with, and being Greek I love their spin on pizza, grab a pitcher of beer and enjoy.

I have been hearing about Lotitios’s and how great they are. So I have gone almost regularly Everytime I go customer service is horrible. So today I decided to take a sandwich from here and a sandwich from Tirreno’s in Mahwah chicken cutlet lettuce tomato mayo o&v onion roasted peppers & mozzarella … my friend and I did a side by side comparison, hands down Tirreno’s sandwich was better! Tirreno’s chicken was moist, peppers were fresh grilled not from jar, there was flavor in the sandwich as Lotitio’s was bland. We have never had to wait always greeted with a smile from momma Tirreno! always made felt like home!

Their food really isn’t half bad. We used to come here quite a bit. The owners are, how do I say, a bit older and are married couple who sometimes argue while you’re mid-order. It’s kind of funny

This place is right next to the train station and post office in Mahwah. Seemed like it would be worth a stop. The owners are super nice and took care of me. it’s extremely casual, kinda like dropping in to your uncles place and having a beer and some pizza. Yes they serve beer. I am a native New Yorker, where the pizza style is thicker in comparison to the crispy New Jersey style pizza. This is closer to New York Pizza, as it has more cheese and a firmer chewier crust.

So many reviews are hit and miss on this site, and this place had only two when we ordered. While they were solid, it still makes you waver. We were hungry though, they delivered to our hotel, and we like NY style pizza, so caution was thrown to the wind. I call to hear background noise overwhelming the man’s heavy Italian accent as he handles mine and another order at the same time. I could deal with the multitasking, especially if they were that busy(shows people like the food), and the Italian accent gave me hopes for some tasty authenticity. While he seemed a little flustered with my order(confusion over my location and my CC number) we ended the call with hopes it would arrive soon. My wife and I debated, wondering what the over under was on delivery time for them to show, if at all. Just over thirty minutes from hanging up, a knock came at the door by a man carrying our pizza pie deliciousness. Stuffed in the box was a thin crust, 8 slice piece of heaven. Fresh ingredients/toppings made this pizza amazing. I highly recommend.

Love, love, love Tirreno’s. The pizza there is fabulous NYC-style pizza. The meatball parm heros are delicious, as is the chicken parmigiana, cold antipasto, and salads. It is an extremely casual restaurant that gets a lot of takeout business.
