It was trivia night, which I think is fun, so I sat at the bar. The service was apathetic but the bartender was responsive when I got her attention. Decent selection of beers. Good rueben sandwich. However, that was all somewhat overshadowed by the fact that the entire bar area smelled faintly of vomit covered up by cleaning solution.

I’m convinced Wednesday night trivia keeps this place afloat. Great for trivia, other than that pretty regular place with subpar bar food. Wednesday is really the day to go for the deals! Also the staff is always friendly and very happy to serve! I dislike that I can see the garbage a while I sit and eat. Also very happy to see they refinished the tables with a new gloss coat!

Dinner for 2 was very good, steaks are nice size and very filling. Long wait for entrée but well worth it! Aside for the extreme loudness, I consider it’s a very busy place so yes I will return! Waitress was fabulous~

Have long been a fan of both MB&G and AB&G. The specials are usually good, and it’s just a nice restaurant atmosphere. Servers are always pleasant.

The service is great but you typically have four random people serving your table versus one dedicated server. The food is okay. They serve RC Cola which is gross. Good local spot and they give back to the community but not out of this world.

Consistently good food with a diverse menu that has options for everyone. I generally order off their daily specials menu and have yet to be disappointed. Service is consistently good and they handle large groups well. Also very family-friendly. One of my favorite spots to eat in the area.

This place needs a manager present, all I waned was a beer and some popcorn and there are 4 servers standing around a POS station doing nothing. There needs to be an adult in the room.

I recently had a casual surprise 30th wedding anniversary party for my parents at the Mahwah Bar & Grill. We were looking to host 60 – 65 of our closest friends and family members for this occasion. We chose the Mahwah Bar & Grill because of it’s central location to everyone we love. My parents also love going to lunch there during the work week — so I knew it would be a home run with them. I had the best experience from planning to execution with the MBG staff. I initially was in touch with Kelly, Craig and Karen but ended up working directly with Karen day of. Luckily we had a beautiful Saturday, so she and her team were able to set us up in their beautifully landscaped garden patio which was pretty much magical for this party. There are even lights strung on the 2 cherry trees which are so pretty lit up — even during the day. It fit our guests PERFECTLY and we were completely secluded from the public in the restaurant. While setting up the food tables, her team was super accommodating and even helped me hang and set up my own decorations. Karen dedicated 3 servers just for us — so no one was left without a drink in their hand all afternoon — so awesome. We did a lunch buffet and everyone loved the food! We ordered the Lemon Chicken, Eggplant Parm, and Penne Vodka — all was delicious! They allowed us to bring our own cake and stored it during the party and cut it up and served to our guests. Overall, I had such a positive experience working with them and would highly recommend having a small party here — when it’s warm enough — it would be perfect for a bridal or baby shower. I’ll definitely be back to host events on the back patio again!

I’ve lived in this part of NJ my whole life. Never did make it to MBG. Until today. Took my 5 year old boy. I should have turned right around when I saw how empty it was on a Sunday at 12:45PM!!! Waitstaff left much to be desired. Food was mediocre at best. My son ordered the pancake special– he asked for chocolate syrup, admittedly, a deviation from the menu– but she took so long to get it, the pancakes were cold(over 10 mins!). Had the place been busy– I may have had more understanding. Bottom line– I will never come to this place again. Other restaurants should head this– 1st impressions are EVERYTHING!

This is our home… away from home! Best Burgers in North Jersey! Monday night wing night is a must go(my husband used to bring a bunch of the local TBirds FB players there for wings — lots and lots of wings!). Wonderful specials, great pasta night, local brews served — always a treat. The staff is local and very friendly — what more can you ask for? Try it! Tell them, Pam sent you ;)

Went in with a larger group and they did an awesome job! Our waiter was great friendly and prompt. We tried the pasta buffet and it was amazing!

I like Mahwah Bar and Grill and I also like their sister location, Allendale Bar and Grill. They have a create your own salad station on the menu, which is usually a go to of mine. You get to choose between different styles of chicken or shrimp and then get your choice of 5 toppings(they have pretty much everything to offer), avocado is $ 1 extra. Cant remember exactly how much the salad comes to but I remember thinking the price was a little steep for a salad, well over $ 10. They always have a list of daily specials, which I appreciate as the same menu can get tiring at any place. I went with the sloppy joe sandwich and soup combo. For soup I decided on the New England Clam Chowder and it was satisfying. The sloppy joe sandwich was decent, nothing to brag home about… I can probably make a sloppy joe just as good. I did like that it had friend onion strips on it, that was a nice added flavor. They have a good bar area, with lots of large TVs, so this can be a good hangout place to catch a game or have drinks with friends. My true rating would be a 3.5 and the reason it is not a 4 is because the food does take a while to come out and as I mentioned earlier, the prices are on the higher side. All in all its a good spot for lunch.

A staple in the community. I’ve been going here for 20 years. They did a much needed refresh of the menu and décor last year. Food is always tasty. Staff are mostly young students, but surprisingly service is always cordial and welcoming. Late at night it draws the bar crowd, and parking typically is okay, but at peak times/days it’s limited. Laid-back, casual and family dining at its best.

After the second time coming here for lunch, me and my girlfriend loved it. I ordered a burger, wings, calamary, seared steak sandwich, the GODFATHER sandwich and food was always impressive. The staff is great, friendly, timely, and attentive. The bar is clean, and has a great selection of beer and wine, very cozy. The only thing that can use a little fix up is the bathroom for a complete experience.

FREEPOPCORN! This place is big. Has ample seating and a nice bar area. There is always cars in the parking lot. Happy hour specials are reasonable and there is trivia on Wednesday. Food is above standard bar/American style. They also have many different craft beers

Good ambiance. Friendly staff. Free popcorn is a plus. I recommend the nachos — the chili is exactly how I like it. My husband loved his pulled pork sandwich. I had a turkey wrap because the brie called out to me. I was disappointed it wasn’t roasted/warm turkey, but it was fine for what it was. If you live in the area it’s a great option and a nice break from the chains.

Afrer 30 minutes of waiting we finally got our food. Buffalo chicken sandwich was good, onion soup was tasty and not greasy, thin crust pizza and sweet potato fries very good as well. The food is typical pub fare. Probably won’t return.

Really great wings and a decent selection of craft beer. Came here for the Oregon vs. Ohio State game and had their 50cent wings, which I hear happens every Monday after 9pm. Friendly staff as well. Would definitely come back to try more of their food.

Came upon this place by accident. Had spent a few St Patty’s days here before. I remembered the great popcorn machine! It is still here as well as a great assortment of real beer. I had the prime rib which was a bit thinner cut than I like but tasty just the same. The side salad was very small and the baby carrots turned cold pretty quickly. My advice is to heat the plates. That is all today Unilocalers.

Great bar food. Great trivia night. I regularly attend trivia night on Wednesdays with a large group of friends. The food is good and everything on the specials menu is $ 5 on Wednesday nights. Definitely try the wings here as they are excellent. I have seen the full entrees and salads and they look decent, although I have never tried them myself. Trivia night is a lot of fun and lot of teams really get into it. The service is very attentive, although the check sometimes takes a bit too long to get dropped off. Overall, this is a great spot to hang out, especially on Wednesday nights.
