We visit Nonnas every once in a while. Tonight we had the chicken Marsala and a calzone. Both were magnificent. The Marsala chicken was so tender I didn’t need a knife and the sauce was absolutely amazing. Another must try is the fried spaghetti sandwich. Way to go Nonnas. We will be visiting more. We are very lucky to have you in our little community.

Okay I just tried the sausage sandwich at nonnas. Freaking awesome. I don’t know what it is about the bread. I don’t know what it is about the sausage and the onions and green peppers that are all stewed together, but it works insanely well. Bravo, nonnas!

We went to Nonna’s Pizzeria for the first time tonight. It’s kind of in a dimly lit portion of old Magna, and the parking is street parking. We ordered the Kitchen Sink pizza. Which was basically a combination pizza with pepperoni, ham, mushrooms, black olives, onions, and green peppers. The service was timely and the pizza delicious! I will definitely be going back to try some of their other fare.

We tried this place based on the excellent rating it has, and were quite excited at possibly discovering a great local pizza spot. The pizza was quite disappointing. It was among the greasiest I’ve ever had. To top it off, the crust was also very thin, not typical crispy thin crust, mind you, just thin. consequently the entire crust was soaked through with grease, making the pizza very soggy and difficult to pick up and eat. Maybe some of their other food is better than the pizza, but we won’t be back. I’m pretty sure at one point this place claimed to have the best pizza in Utah, or something like that. I’m afraid that’s not true by a long shot.

We decided to look for a pizza place around this area, found nonnas pizza, place was clean, the food looked ok… But all I’ve got to say, is that if you have a particular pair of underwear you hate, by all means… wear it and eat here that day

I’ve been to the Filling Station next door and have ordered food a few times, and I had no idea that it was coming from Nonna’s Pizzeria one door down. I’m originally from Long Island, I miss it at times. One of our friends went and ordered food for our group and came back with a tray of zeppoles. I shouted, «Did you get zeppoles?!» The friend responded, «I don’t know, I think they’re little donuts.» No these are not donuts, these are zeppoles. Sweets I grew up with in New York eating out of a greasy brown paper bag as I walked around fireman’s fairs as a kid. I had to go meet the maker of this fine product. I ended up talking to Sebastian, the owner, and his wife for about 15 minutes. His wife is from Queens, Sebastian is from Hartford, CT. He’s as guinea as you can get. I’m allowed to say that because I’m also Italian. Both of our families hail from Sicily. I told them the food reminded me of home, and after talking to them, I felt even more at home. Lots of hand gestures being thrown around, and the volume of our voices were the loudest in the room. I’ve now had their pizza, a sausage sandwich(made with Collisimo’s sausage), as well as a mushroom and pepperoni calazone. I’ve enjoyed them all. When Sebastian asked if I liked the food, I told him I loved it, but… and I stopped. I know better than to correct an Italian’s cooking. «Tell me, I need to hear it.» Well, I feel the dough can be cooked until it’s crispier on the calazones and the pizzas. Sebastian and his wife both looked at each other and rolled their eyes… «See, I told you. We used to make the dough crispier but everyone out here would tell us they’re overcooked. So we changed our product to better fit our customers. Next time you order a calazone, we’ll deep fry it for you and make it super crispy… you know… the way it’s SUPPOSED to be.» Sebastian is a cool guy. I support him. I support his wife. I support his business, and I enjoy his food. I will be back. I urge you to check it out too. It’s Magna, come to any ignorant conclusions you like. But if you head that way, let me know, I’ll meet you, and get you your first round at the Filling Station next door and it will cost me almost nothing. We’ll order some Nonna’s Pizzeria through the window in the wall. I promise you’ll have fun, and I promise you’ll have fun, and I promise you’ll have some of the best Italian food all of Salt Lake has to offer, no lie.

I keep trying pizza shops close by and so far I have been disappointed with all other restaurants. Nonnas has the best food ever! Hand tossed crust. Fresh veggies! Amazing cheese and all around best pizza in town!

Service was good, but the Pizza was not very good. Got a pepperoni and a bbq chicken. Pepperoni was super greasy and no flavor really. The bbq chicken was average but much better than the pepperoni. Like I said the service was good the place was clean, but will not likely go back. Also when I was leaving there were a bunch people out front and two two girls fighting and swearing about who is a better stripper

I have eaten there 2 times and was not impressed. I don’t like the way they put there cheese on top of all the toppings so the first bite you take pulls all the toppings off the pizza. There sandwiches are ok but i have had better.

I have only eaten here once and had the Florentine Pizza and it was great. Just not a big pizza fan. But most definitely would recommend them to anyone. Don’t let the 1 star rating defer you from giving them a try. You may be pleasantly surprised.

Just moved to Utah and Magna. Tried Nonna’s because it was near by. This place was great. Ordered a pepperoni pizza and a baked ziti. Both were very good and taste homemade. Will definitely eat here again.

Favorite place to go out to eat. Everything we have ate here has been fantastic. The owners are very friendly and the place is family owned. Their chicken marsala is one of the best pasta dishes I have ever had in my life. When they say«Best pizza in Utah» they are not joking. But I warn you, if you go here, any other Italian place afterwards will seem just mediocre compared. Every meal you order here is made when it is ordered, and made from scratch. With regards to the person that gave them 1 star, I cannot disagree enough with their review. Go there yourself and you will see nothing of what was mentioned in that review. The food is amazing, the marsala as I have already mentioned was also amazing, no grease what so ever. The comment about the«mass produced spaghetti» really shocked me. I have never been anywhere else where each dish is so unique and so delicious, and slightly different every time you go in. And café style? Give me a break… Also, everyone needs to realize that both cheese and pepperoni put off a lot of grease when they are heated up. This is why the pepperoni pizza is pretty greasy. I feel that most people should know this though…

Upon leaving I was planning on giving a 3 star rating to Nonna’s. The shop was clean, the service nice. The food was mediocre – the first bite of the chicken marsala was great, the second was good, then as the grease started to pool it tasted worse and worse. My husband’s spaghetti with colosomo’s sausage was good – what you’d expect mass produced spaghetti to taste like. The pictures of the reviews and the prices on here lead me to believe it was a restaurant but the food was served in an aluminum foil tin and was served luke warm — the best I can say is that it was café style. Like I said, I would have given 3 stars but then we came home. Both of us started to have a stomach ache within half an hour, forty five minutes of coming home. We’ve both been in and out of the bathroom for the 3 hours since then. We won’t be going back.

Just moved to Magna and found this gem on Historic Main Street. I had the Italian ½ sandwich and husband had the spaghetti with Colosimo’s sausage. Can you say fresh, delicious and authentic? The marinara sauce is sooo good! Went back in the evening with other people and they vowed to definitely go back. We had the«Magna» pizza, garlic knots and Caprese bread … bomb! Prepare to wait a little longer but so worth the wait. Plenty of room for larger parties. Definitely a must try!

Tried Nonna’s for the first time tonight with my husband. He had the meatball sandwich and I had the baked ziti. We absolutely loved our dinners and had plenty to bring home for leftovers tomorrow. We got great fresh food for our money and will definitely go back.

We went to Nonna’s pizzeria for lunch. this quaint little eatery absolutely blew my socks off. delicious pizza made very rustically. my wife had a Philly cheese steak and absolutely loved it. the Italian sausage sandwhich was absolutely gigantic and absolutely savory! Magna is very fortunate to have this wonderful, humble, family run restauraunt, we will certainly be coming here for a long time! Thanks again Sebastian!
