Salon Venustas

I had an appointment for 10 AM on a Saturday. I was there 5 to 10 minutes early. When I walked in, I saw my stylist was washing someone’s hair and said hello to her. Then the receptionist proceeded to tell me that my stylist was one appointment behind. I did not receive a phone call to let me know that she was that far behind and I received no apology personally from my stylist — she was about ten steps away from me. I refused to wait and I will not go back.

I’m not sure what got into Karen today but my experience was very unpleasant. My blow dry was so badly done, with cowlicks in the front and in the back of my head that I had to totally re-​do it myself at the salon. Also my color was poorly done. My hair looked orange and brassy despite the fact that I requested a cool blonde. I am baffled because my first experience at this salon was so great. They got everything perfect the first visit. But this time it was clear that I was not welcome and that my business was not appreciated. I wish that they had just told me that rather than ruin my hair. The hairstylist that I patronize now told me that she thought someone added orange color to the dye on purpose. Can you imagine? Who would do such a mean spirited thing? Beyond the incompetent blow-​dry and downright ugly color job, the receptionist told me that tips must be in cash. You can write a check here for the hairstyle but the tip must me in cash. I’m sorry but these people can’t be trusted. Clearly someone had a bad day and made me the brunt of it.

I travel from the Northshore of Massachusetts to get my hair cut and colored here. I have been for years and will as long as I can.

I am not the best hair client. I just about get my hair cut once a year. But after seeing Jessica at Salon Venustas I did the unthinkable and went twice (and it’s only been 5 months). She is great. Totally gets it and is super talented. I went there on a whim the first time, but now I am for sure making my appointments with Jess. I am so happy she is there.

Wow!!! Had my hair colored and cut today by «KAREN» what a pro! Go there and get your hair done!

I’m so glad I finally found a hair salon in CT! I was hopping around a few salons in CT when I couldn’t go to RI to see my hairstylist there, but I have found my CT Hair Salon. I have been here several times now for a cut by Angela and a hair color by Jessica, and the staff here is ALWAYS so nice! Everyone here is great at what they do — you really can’t go wrong. Also, the salon went through renovations and is called Salon Venustas now.
