I bought a Groupon for a pedicure and shellac manicure. The gal that did my nails was not very friendly. I felt like I was a bother. I felt like I was trying to get her to like me. The pedicure was fine. The manicure was less than fine. She did not do a great job with the cuticles. The paint job was not clean. I probably would have gotten a better paint job from a friend. The owner was around and chatting with her clients and was swearing. Now, my mouth isn’t perfect by any means. However, I feel if one doesn’t know the people in her/his salon one needs to be a bit more professional. I would not recommend.

Horrible. My mom and I bought a grupon to have mani pedis together and on the day of we walked in there and no one said a word. We’re like«hello?» Horrible rude service. The pedicure chair was an office chair with a chair massager strapped to it-darn near duck taped. Just disgusting and such low class. You know if the 2 women there would have looked up greeted us and said SOMETHING we may have stayed… but they didn’t. Such a crazy awful experience. They suck at their jobs and their salon is not a «salon» it is a make shift shitty ass place. The nail polish they had was Sinful!!! From Walgreens! Can’t believe that just happened to me lol

In comment to your post Angelina, I did like the front. Never said I didn’t. I also said I like the color. What I don’t like is the back– which is the main reason I kept coming back. The color job I had before had nothing to do with this as I said it is the CUT I am not happy with, not the color.

I received extensions here a week ago, they are already falling out, tangling and knotting and very dry. I am going to have to go and get them taken out, and have quality ones put in. I emailed the gal that put them in for a refund, nothing as of yet. So unhappy.

My fave place to do an assortment of colors, Angelina does an excellent job! Always very helpful, excellent advice, and kids friendly, they also provide a menu and do birthdays! Great place to do nails, extensions, and conditionings!

*******I am new to Madison, and it had been a long time since I had gotten the chance to get my hair done. I found«Rock & Glam» on the internet, and the salon seemed new and edgey. I am from the Metro Detroit area, and to go to a salon like this is normally pretty expensive, but my cut and atyle was extremely reasonable. I walked in, and was taken care of right away, the products are reasonably priced, and my hair looks awesome. I even have an appt. to go back in several weeks. I am really satisfied, and excited to see what else I can get done at «Rock & Glam» to make myself shine out here in Madison *******

Love my hair everytime I go here! Not a snooty west side salon, down to earth real people kind of salon. Angelina knows just what to do, when I can’t explain what I want.

Like a previous reviewer, I had purchased a LivingSocial deal for half off f a Brazilian wax. It was my first time, but I did a bunch of research beforehand so I would know what to expect and be properly prepared. Angelina was very friendly and had a professional attitude the entire time. However, several things I expected(because I had read that they were standard procedure in all professional Brazilian waxes. 1. She didn’t do much of anything to prepare my skin. She dabbed some sort of cleanser on a few places, but that was it. No powder or anything to keep the wax from adhering too much to my skin. 2. She did not wear gloves. 3. She used the same applicator stick the whole time, dipping it repeatedly into the wax pot even after she had touched my skin(in a very private area) with it. 4. She went over the same patch of skin several times if she didn’t get all of the hair the first time. She didn’t reapply more wax, but she took the same cloth strip and dab-and-ripped again and again. 5. She asked me if I wanted a full Brazilian, but she didn’t even come close to certain areas. There was a LOT of hair left behind. More than you would use tweezers to remove.

Not very rocking, or very glam. Definitely doesn’t live up to the name. No real place to store client belongings. Bought a Unilocal deal and got a keratin treatment and haircut. The treatment was nice and left my hair very soft, but when the stylist put me under the hair dryer, it rested on my head, then fell off entirely. No one was very apologetic about that. Haircut was fine, though after sayng several times my former stylist only used the clippers to buzz the back of my neck, she cut my hair with clippers! So far it seems to take off the weight, but it hasn’t been a week yet, so we’ll see. I mentioned several times my previous stylist would razor cut my hair, but she only used shears, then texture sheers. Including tip, I spent $ 35 on the treatment and cut. Not bad for the money, but overall not the best experience. I won’t be back.

I went here because I purchased the living social deal for a wax. I am very disappointment with the wax I received here. Not only were they rude and unprofessional, but they did a very poor job. It also smelled strongly of cigarette smoke.

I also bought a brazilian wax through living social, it was my first time, but I had done enough research beforehand to know a few things. She went over areas multiple times to remove hair, and double dipped, using the same wax stick the entire time, which is completely unhygienic. I’m pretty sure each customer does not get new wax. She also didn’t wear gloves. When I got home, I noticed she had missed multiple spots. I spent 45 minutes plucking out patches of hair that were left over because she hadn’t done a thorough job. For a $ 25 living social deal, it may be worth it if you have high pain tolerance and can withstand getting the same spot waxed over a few times, and if you don’t mind going home and finishing some of the job yourself. But if you’re looking for a more comfortable experience, I wouldn’t recommend spending $ 50 here for a brazilian wax.

Here’s the thing — the atmosphere doesn’t live up to the name at all. I am okay with the actual services that were rendered for hair, but I expected a different experience based on the name and marketing for the salon. It was not a «glam» salon at all. It’s in an office building with loud rock(but NOT good rock) playing. I wouldn’t think it was an edgy salon at all if not for the music and a few posters. I expected a more modern atmosphere and ended up spending most of my time looking at shabby upholstered chairs and poorly painted walls. I probably won’t return. There was a certain lack of professionalism as well that bothered me. I like to feel like I’m working with an expert and i didn’t get that sense at all.

I went here with a Madison MyPerks gift certificate for a mani/pedi and I was very dissatisfied. This is the worst manicure I’ve ever gotten, the french paint job looks terrible and I’ll have to get it redone. I was alone with the stylist and when I tried to suggest some nails were clumpy, she said they’d be fine once the top coat was one. Well, they weren’t and she was already re-doing every nail at least 3 times. I knew I was stuck. I still paid and even gave her a meager tip(because I’m a wuss), but I called back to speak with the owner and at least get a refund for the additional $ 20 I paid for a poor french paint job and they would only give me a $ 15 credit to the salon because I had apparently left«satisfied» with my services. Honestly, this place was overpriced, my hands were soaking in cold water, the other customer in the store was on her cell phone for the first 20 min. I was in there talking business(so rude). I would never go back here and I recommend you go elsewhere. I’ve had plenty of fine mani/pedis around town. this is the first time I’ve ever asked for money back for a poor service and the first time I’ve written a negative review, but it is deserved. I don’t know much about the other stylists, maybe they’re great and maybe this would have been better if I hadn’t gone with french, but their response to my complaint further tells me they are not worth giving my business to.

Angelina is great! She did an amazing job with my hair. She made me blonde again, and it looks great. I get a lot of compliments on my hair.
