Owen Conservation Park

Are you looking for a peaceful place to take a nice walk through the prairie? Head on over to Owen Conservation Park. The park entrance is an unassuming driveway — blink and you’ll miss it — but once you wind down the road you’ll find yourself with beautiful trails to walk. There’s a small parking lot, but if it’s full there’s usually parking along Old Sauk Road. Bonus points for bathrooms and for wild turkey sightings — if you’ve ever gotten backed up near the elementary school on Old Sauk it’s probably because there’s a turkey parade making its way across the street and back into the park.
