Maddy’s Pet Resort

Maddy’s offers both a day care service and an overnight boarding service, and I’ve used both for my dog Dyna. Rates are really low considering the quality of care ($ 8/​day for daycare, $ 25/​day for overnight), and my dog loves it there; as soon as she can see Maddy’s through the windshield she starts bouncing around like a puppy — it’s probably because the dogs get to run around in the huge backyard for 12 hours a day instead of being penned up in a kennel most of the time.
My dog is a hugely picky eater; it’s my own fault, really, but she doesn’t eat particularly well when I’m not around. Anyways, the owner (Barb) has taken really good care of her while she’s been staying overnight, adding in wet food from her own stock if Dyna won’t eat her normal kibble. Both my dog and I have always been treated with respect, although they only really know me as «Dyna’s daddy». :)
Two little problems should be noted; things get a bit hectic around the holidays, so make sure to get your reservations in pretty early (at least a couple weeks ahead of time). Also, the road Maddy’s is on (Hwy 72) is a complete mess, so getting in and out is a true pain in the butt.
Most of the pet owners I know have used Maddy’s, and everyone I’ve talked to raves about it. Worth every bit of the five star review.

I would like to quote the owner if I may, from a phone conversation the other day, «Hi this is Barb from Maddy’s, um, I wasn’t here yesterday when you scheduled your cat Macy for Christmas boarding. I hate to say that this is about the money, but it kind of is, I don’t board cats over the holidays.»
This all happened right after I boarded my cat with her for 6 days. Cats are only $ 10 less per day than a dog, she would have lost out on a total of approximately $ 50 for those few days. Sadly, she has now lost out on ALL of my business. Forever.
