They don’t call it Skank Effectz for no reason. Just go on a busy night and you shall see my dear reader.
When I go, I usually go for ladies night. And the feeling is right.
Kinda.
The mixed drinks are watered down but that’s to be expected when you’re getting 3 free drinks. Get the beer, they can’t water that down.
The bartenders are generally friendly and the live music is pretty current (with a few throwbacks). When I was there last week, they played Ain’t nothin but a G thang, Ice Ice Baby, I got 5 on it, etc. To me that’s awesome. To others, it may be vomit inducing. Same thing with the country music that they throw in there. Truck yeah? I drive a hybrid sir, so truck no. I’m not a huge country music fan, shocking I know. Booze helps me through it though.
After my free drinks I head over to see Rog at the Wagon Wheel across the street. I’d suggest you do the same.

While it was great to hear an awesome band tonight, I am left with the anger from being short changed ten dollars by the bar tender, then basically accused of stealing by her two co workers, even though I showed my change, which was ten dollars short, to another bar tender, to verify the error. In the end the owner made things right, but I do not like being treated like a scammer when I was simply trying to get the right change.
