The combo of cuisines here is not your normal mix. So you have classic Colombian style Pollo Asado(rotisserie chicken) and the sides speak directly to Boston Market, and for the final layer of confusion, I mean fusion you have the Great Wrap place from the mall food court. Hey whoever thought up this wacky combination got it right because it all works. The place was nice and packed on lunch which is a good sign for the most part as there are other options in the strip mall to eat at. First sight upon entry are the birds spinning which is cool they placed rotisserie right in front for your view pleasures. Bain Marie was filled with all of B. Markets usual suspects accept for the fluff topped yam purée. You can even get fries. It was the normal ¼ bird ½ bird or Ribs and 2 sides and corned bread kind of deal. Other parts of the menu spoke to the G. Wrap The Order: Veggie Plate(3 sides) Stuffing, Fries, Rice Chicken Salad — not chicken on a salad but legit chicken salad Mediterranean Wrap Rib w/Rice & Corn Sides for the veggie plate all really tasty even the crinkle cut fries. Once salted, peppered, ketchup’d, and hot sauced you had a major player here. Stuffing was the star in my opinion. Soft, savory, and buttery with tiny crunchy bites of carrot, and large crisp morsels of buttered crust. Was like someone’s grandma made it. The rice was Hispanic like just not as flavor packed as what you would find in a local Dr/Pr sort of eatery. Still it was yellow, mildly flavored and cooked very well so hats off there. Ribs were official pork ribs that they fire blast on the grill and hit with sauce once more before they get to your plate. And off the bone they fell… tears. Buddy enjoyed the wrap. He said it was great(get it Great Wraps). In short this is a place where you can get a solid home style meal at a moderate price. Southern ribs and Colombian Rotisserie right in Madison.

The ribs are amazing, worth the 30 minute drive alone. The red skin potatoes are great, the mac and cheese and cucumber salad are good too. Mini cornbread muffins are the perfect accompaniment to the ribs.

3.5 stars. Decent rotisserie chicken joint off the beaten path in Madison. Located off of Main Street in a strip mall, La Rosa delivers with a solid selection of chicken, ribs and burgers. Prices are reasonable and they offer combination options for your meal choices. Generally you can pick a meat and two side options for about $ 10. The portion sizes are generous and come with a side of cornbread. A lot like Boston Market yet a greater variety of food. I see a lot of people ordering their flame grilled burgers but I have yet to try one. I usually go with the grilled or rotisserie chicken combo. Some of the sides offered are mac & cheese, mashed potatoes, steamed veggies and my two favorites; sweet potato casserole and creamed spinach. Definitely worth a visit for a decent healthy meal rather than fast food.

I read the review and had to give them a taste. Awesome place! I had their ¼ chicken and veggies. The veggies were fresh and the chicken very tasty. I wish we had one of these in my town! The owner was very nice and friendly.

The place is slightly divey but the food is really good. I’ve had the rotisserie chicken and the chicken Caesar wrap and was very impressed with both! Tried the sides and the Cole slaw was great but the green beans were mushy, tasted canned.

My friend ordered here on a Saturday night. I heard good things about this place so I decided to try. I ordered ½ chicken, ½ rack of ribs, mac and cheese and cucumber salad. I give 3 stars because the ribs were amazing. Maybe the best I’ve ever had. Cooked to perfection. On the other hand, the chicken was dry and flavorless. ½ a chicken is a breast and a thigh. We don’t eat dark meat so noone ate the thigh. The mac and cheese — gross. It was almost inedible. Salty and powdery. My 5 year old wouldn’t eat it either. Cucumber salad was meh. Not great, but not bad either. Cornbread was delicious. I usually like leftovers but I threw what was left over out. I felt like I wasted $ 30 and could have gotten much better food somewhere else.

Surprisingly. Scrumptious. Rotisserie chicken with the right seasonings & a nice selection of side dishes to select. Try the Mac & cheese!

This place is the absolute best. Everything from rotisserie chicken to their wraps are amazing. The owner is almost always there, and staff hasn’t changed in years. My favorite lunch spot in Madison/Chatham area.

I go there every week and I love it. Reminds me of Boston market except you can tell this is fresh. The guys working are all really nice and there’s always good service. Will definitely be coming back!

Always great food and very clean. Wish they still had the cucumber salad but their mac and cheese is phenomenal. Kids love the ribs, I can’t get enough of the roasted chicken.

Pretty good place. Friendly staff, good variety, reasonable prices. The only downside is the seating is pretty cramped and limited, and they don’t often clean the tables. Definitely better to take your food to go.

La Rosa Chicken & Grill is a place that doesn’t pretend to be anything but what it is. A great place to grab a great chicken sandwich or a home cooked quality chicken dinner with some great sides. It isn’t gourmet, and it isn’t very flashy. But the chicken is very good and all of the sides are as well. Their Gorgonzola chicken sandwich, and Chicken Pesto Sandwich are two of my favorites. I eat there often when I’m looking for something quick and satisfying. Their coleslaw is some of the best in town, and trust me this town has good coleslaw. The staff is always friendly and do their best to make sure you are happy. They may be a bit slow where they are busy but what place isn’t. If you are looking for a place to get some solid chicken this is the place for you.

Great spot for a LARGELUNCH! — Here’s why: My sisters and I were starving and ran into La Rosa for a meal. We ordered salads, gyros, and wraps with fries. The fries were mushy, but everything else was«A-OK.» The salad was $ 9 and very big. They certainly don’t skimp on the chicken or vegetables, which I appreciated. Everything was ready in less than 15 minutes, and was all the quality I expected from a joint like this. It did the job well, but I wouldn’t go here again.

Great for grilled chicken sandwhich. Ive been here several times and the food is acceptable. The chicken is very moist and juicy and has alot of flavor. They also have great sides to go with any meal you order. I wouldnt go there for much else. Definitely a chicken place. Fast service too.

A great place for chicken in a variety of forms. Getting a whole(or half) roast chicken is a good call(add a few sides too), but usually I go for the sandwiches. The chicken pitas especially are a good choice: loaded with lots of chicken and fixings. I also love the chicken caesar salad. Their caesar dressing is good(not too creamy) and they give a generous amount of chicken. For sides, I like the mac’n cheese, steamed veggies, and stuffing. And don’t forget the corn bread, which does a good job of soaking up any excess caesar dressing!

I was dying for a burrito and did a search on Unilocal for the closest place to me. This came up. I walked in and saw the extensive«chicken» menu. They have a decent menu. Chicken(duh), ribs, burgers and steaks. Its a casual order at the counter and sit down place. They have a lot of sides. I ordered the Chicken Burrito. Big mistake. They nuked the ingredients. The chicken was dry and the rice was like an hour overcooked. The beans were crumbling(not good). Only saving grace was the mac and cheese which was excellent. Would have been 1 star but the m&c stole the show. Not going back anytime soon. Still on a quest to find the great burrito… striking out left and right… ugh!

I want to like this place, I really do, but I find myself unable to muster much enthusiasm for the place. That said, its not bad for lunch, you pay a little more than Boston Market, but its much closer to where I work. The chicken’s decent, but nothing to write home about. Their burgers and gyros are mediocre, but I don’t mind it every once in a while.

Okay, a Boston Market knock-off with Greek flavor. Basically a saltier, more expensive version of Boston Market, almost all the same things, but the mac & cheese was grainy and disappointing. Oily, too, and the tables were dirty. The chicken itself was good, though a bit smaller than the Boston Market chicken. Perhaps they use more organic, less mass-fed chicken?

Just had La Rosa again recently. The reason to go here is for the Rotisserie Chicken, I guess the best way to describe it is a family-owned Boston Market. I think the owners have a handful of stores throughout the state. As far as the food, you walk in and see all of these delicious looking chickens on this large rotisserie(visible from the parking lot), and then you order the chicken and it comes out of some mysterious metal drawer from below the counter. It still looks pretty good, and they split it for you there. The sides aren’t bad, some days are better than others. I vote yes for the baked beans and mac ‘n’ cheese, but no on the potatoes. The cornbread is disappointing, could really be a feature if it weren’t small and dried out. I guess this is the sort of place where you like to go every now and then, but too often is no good. Its worth trying out, though.
