Dr. Kristi Arnquist is wonderful. When I called her to discuss making arrangements for my two 15 year old Shih-​Tzus, she was so kind and helpful. She even called me a week after our initial phone conversation to see how I was doing. (After meeting with our primary vet, I had decided they were doing well enough to postpone the decision for a while. Dr. Kristi was very happy for me, and completely supportive.)

A year later, my dogs were really struggling, so I called Dr. Kristi again. She remembered talking with me, and was terrific. In the end, Dr. Kristi was out of town volunteering when the time came to finally put them to sleep. However, she put me in touch with Dr. Katie Hilst and Dr. Catie Hawkins of Journeys Home, who were wonderful too. (Dr. Catie came to our house, and did such a nice job.)
Dr. Kristie cared and took the time to make sure my dogs and I were taken care of, even if she wasn’t being compensated. Her sensitivity, generosity, and kind heart are remarkable. I would absolutely recommend her if you are struggling like I was. Dr. Kristi is an angel.

We struggled when the time came, with having to take our 14 year old Siberian husky to the vet to have her put to rest, I kept thinking, why can’t the vet just come to our home at this very hard time? I wanted to be able to bury my precious baby, but didn’t want to have to put any of us through the daunting task of taking her to the vet and then returning back home with her. I started to call around and one of our local vets gave me Dr. Kristi’s name. This was exactly what I was looking for. Dr. Kristi was absolutely wonderful! She answered all of my questions, was very thoughtful and caring. When the time came for her to come to our home, she explained to everyone what was going to happen. I was so amazed at how our Kiah welcomed her with many kisses. I felt as though she knew that this lady was here to give her rest. It brought us so much peace! We were able to sit with our dog and make her feel comfortable. Anyone who has ever gone through this knows how difficult this choice is. Dr. Kristi checked on us often for days after Kiah passed to see how we all were doing. She is genuinely a kind and caring person who has a special gift. I would definitely recommend her to anyone.

When our beloved Gus couldn’t go on, we wanted to make sure he’d be as comfortable as possible. I would never, ever, ever put a pet down any other way after this experience. Dr. Kristi was so sweet and comforting. She was able to understand what we needed when I was so overwhelmed with grief that I could barely talk. Not to mention that she was able to come to our house on a Sunday evening when most other Vets would not be available. Being at home put us and Gus at ease. I’m not sure I could have handled the drive to and from a Vet’s office.
She checked in day after to see how the family was doing, knowing that we had taken the loss so hard. She really is such a sweet lady, which is exactly what we needed given the circumstances. She also makes sure that you know exactly what is going on at all times. Honestly, you’d be hard pressed to work find a reason to give Dr. Kristi anything but 5 stars.
