I stopped in with a coworker for a quick, mid-week lunch. It was a brisk day, so I went with a bowl of the chicken noodle soup and a turkey sandwich on a pretzel roll. The soup was pretty good with hearty chunks of chicken and veggies, but too salty for my taste. The sandwich was also pretty good, topped with red onion, tomatoes, Havarti cheese, and a mayo-mustard mix. The combo came with kettle chips. Overall food was 4 stars, but what brought this place down was the service. The folks taking orders and delivering them were not polite. Is it too much to crack a smile and speak up so I can hear what you’re asking? I know this is just a casual lunch spot, but the somber mood of the staff brought the whole experience down to mediocre.

I love this place, wish they had one back home. It’s like Panera/BreadCo, but with awesome breakfast options. Even the oatmeal was delicious! I ordered the pancakes with bacon. The fluffiest pancakes EVAR… Doughy and spongy, airy, buttery and a tad sweet before the syrup. The staff was amazing too!

I love love love Corner Bakery! It’s a great place to grab food any time of day. I also appreciate their focus on eating healthy. They include the calorie counts on almost all their menu items, and they just introduced the Trio salad combo. But these are way different that what you may be thinking. In my combo I got: Asian Edamame salad(edamame, tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, carrots, green onions, basil and cilantro in ginger soy dressing) Southwest Avocado salad(avocado, corn, tomatoes, and tortilla strips) Seasonal Fruit Medley All of which were super tasty! Next time I want to try their quinoa and pico salad. I’ve tried a ton of other items on the menu before then, and they’ve all be great. My other favorite meal has to be the pesto cavatappi pasta with a bruschetta side salad and a black currant tea. The service is always great and I love the covered, outdoor seating.

Good service. Harvest bread loaf is wonderful. Great for toast at home. Coffee egg scramblers and oatmeal delicious. Clean and pleasant

Food was amazing and quick! I’m really glad they put the calories in each item and have such a wide variety to choose from! We are trying to eat healthier and this was a great way to show my husband how many calories he was eating! We will definitely be back!

Good food, good service, but a bit pricey. Corner Bakery has a deli style atmosphere and is best for an easy going breakfast or meeting a friend for lunch. Also, the oatmeal is a must!

Corner Bakery in Madison is a place we dine fairly regularly. The main reason is that the menu options meet the needs of all our family members. The food is consistently tasty, with breakfast items being a standout. However, our order is ALWAYS messed up. I have recently been ordering the Spicy Asian Pork Hot Toasted Sandwich. It includes shredded roasted pork sauteed in a spicy Asian BBQ sauce, in-house pickled jalapenos, cucumbers, spicy slaw, and cilantro on a toasted French roll. It makes a great addition to their menu with just the right amount of heat. The first time I ordered it, it arrived as pork on a bun. Nothing else. They fixed my order. The second time I ordered it, it arrived with none of the spicy Asian BBQ sauce. They fixed it. We’ve encountered various situations from them being out of silverware, to menu items being prepared incorrectly, to portions going from huge to tiny. If they can work out their portion consistency and get orders right the first time, this would be a great place to dine. Unfortunately, we’ve just come to accept our experiences as the way things will be here. I love the food and love the atmosphere of the place, so I’ll still give it 3 stars, but with a bit of management, this could be a top dining establishment in Madison.

Got the vanilla bean frappé. The person behind the counter tried to correct my pronunciation, without realizing that how they were insisting it was pronounced was frappé. It was a bit pricey for not quite so much product, and wasn’t anything out of the ordinary.

This location is ok-ish but the one at Flowood is much better. The tea has a funky smell and taste, the staff were so loud in the kitchen it was extremely annoying and we were sitting as far from them as possible, and the food is either burned or stone cold. Don’t think I will go back to this one.

I admit that I was quite skeptical of a chain bakery, especially when we have places like Broadstreet, but I was won over when we made a stop here by happenstance(in the area, we were hungry and it was closest). They have a chop salad that makes my mouth water right now, a wide selection of pastries(which I haven’t actually tried yet), good drink and coffee area, and a friendly set of employees. The prices are really reasonable and there is some outdoor seating that will be great when the weather cools down a bit.
