Great simple basic park to hang out, run, relax, whatever.

It is a wonderful little park, that unfortunately got a bad rep a while back. The playground is very nice and clean. The lake is beautiful to walk around or fish in. And the park has a nice frisbee golf course. I do not play, but my family does and it is an easy walk for everyone. I have always felt safe there.

This is the park I usually go to because it is right down the street from me. In the warmer weather, I use to go jogging here. I was freaked out once because I thought I saw a pit bull staring me down in the middle of my workout(i can’t see for shit) but it turned out to be much scarier. It was a big scary vicious man eating deer right in the middle of the road! Now I go on walks with my dog there. She loves it! Good park!

Among the gritty and working-class area of North Nashville/Madison, there is a wonderful refuge from the hustle of life. Cedar Hill Park not only has many of the perks of a city park, but it even offers peaceful areas to escape the urban noise and hurry. Among the various features visitors can find: baseball fields, duck pond, playground, running path, covered pavilions with picnic tables, and plenty of parking. But beyond all this are all the peaceful nooks and hideaways you can find to spend a quiet lunch or evening as a respite from the stress of city life. When I worked in the Madison area, I commonly visited this area just to unwind. This is undoubtedly the best park north of town. Sure you can find a beach at the Old Hickory Dam, if you can find it. But there’s no searching for Cedar Hill Park. Easy to find, easy to lose yourself in, easy to love.
