Back Yard Burgers

I’m visiting from Atlanta & I’ve literally been here 2 days in a row! The burgers are cooked to order & the staff is friendly.

My husband and I stopped in here on our way back home from visiting New Orleans. The food was ready before we even sat down. We were still making our drinks when they brought our food out. Then while we were eating an elderly gentleman pulled up in the parking lot and the young girl behind the counter met him at the door and held it open for him. They had his usual order of a hamburger with his usual fixings on it cut in half and two cobblers waiting on him. Then as he was making his way back out to his car another worker, this time a young man rushed to open the door for him and stood outside watching as he made it back to his car. I asked them if he was a regular and if they new his name and they said he comes every Sunday with the same order and now when they see him pulling up they go ahead and get his order ready for him. They don’t know his name but fondly refer to him as «Grandpa». This was the best fast food dining experience I’ve ever had.

We stopped in here on our way home for New Orleans. Since we’ve never be to a Back Yard Burger we thought we’d give it a try. I am so sorry we did as it was just awful. When we walked in and looked around we could see that the floors were very dirty with trash. When we sat down at a table and looked up we could see that the light shades were full of thick dust. We ordered Pepper Jack Chicken sandwiches which were fair but, when we looked under the wrapper that covered the small plate size serving tray for our sandwich it had stuck on food from the previous user. Most disgusting. In addition, my wife and I try to avoid sweet drinks so we always order just water whenever we eat out. They charged us $ 1.20 for two small glasses of water. Obviously we will never return here or eat at any Back Yard Burger.

A fast food place that serves turkey burgers is always a win for me. I’m impressed they have more than one choice of turkey burger. I had the Cajun turkey burger it was just the right amount of kick but you still get the chargrilled flavor of the meat coming through. Fresh lettuce and tomatoes topped this awesome burger. They were out of onion rings Wick was a little disappointing but the season fries were really good and a lot of fries for a small order.
I would return again and again if I lived in the area. I wish we had Backyard Burgers in Texas. Mississippi is s little far even for a an exceptional turkey burger.

Better than the other fast food burger joints. Decent.

They beat a standard fast food burger. The burgers were cooked fresh, which helps! At first I wish they would serve more fries in the combo, but I’m sure my waist line appreciated fewer fries!

Friendly service, lightning fast service, food was fresh! Just what we needed after being on the road for hours, exhausted, and a bit frazzled from the torrential downpour we encountered coming up I-​55 last night! Will definitely stop here again when passing thru on the way back to Memphis.

I stopped in for lunch while passing through town. I had a surprisingly good burger, which I ordered from a mostly patient staff member.

I always get very friendly service here. The food is standard Backyard Burger fare — good for fast food.

Nasty, I ordered a burger and it was cold. Absolutely disgusting and I will never go back.
