I really like their sauce and breadsticks but I’m not joking when I say that they screw up about 50% of our orders. Today they decided to make our round pizza a deep dish. No matter what you do they get it wrong — doesn’t matter if you order online (foolproof right?!) or call. Not quite sure why we keep trying them. Of course my husband knows he must look in every box before he leaves and of course the times he doesn’t something is screwed up. The deep dish we didn’t order barely had any toppings either. Sad.

Did takeout today from here, I had a Groupon for one gourmet pizza and one one-topping. I got a BBQ chicken pizza minus the bacon, and a pepperoni pizza. Both pizzas were excellent… We had 6 people at a Golden Globes party I was hosting at my apt and the 2 pizzas went pretty quickly.
I called in my order for 630pm at around 4, and when I showed up around 630−635pm it was coming out of the oven. They also gave me coupons for next time, I’d like to use them at the Troy location but I think it’s only good for Madison Heights and a few other locations (not Troy).
This location was a quick 10 minute highway drive for me, so I’d come back when I want some good pizza.

I have never had a problem here, not like the reviews of many of the other people. My latest online pick-up order of a thin crust pizza came out fine. There are pretty good online deals on Monday and Tuesday especially.
The crust was different than most — layered and flaky — but less so than a croissant. The toppings didn’t burn because some cheese was placed on top. It appeared somewhat greasy because of this, though.

I give cottage inn 4 stars for the gluten free sandwiches and bread sticks, the G/F pizza is ok. I order online it is always ready fast and if I have special instructions (like cut the sandwich in half) it’s always done.

The pizza is subpar at best. They will not deliver because we are on the outside edge of their radius, but still within it. The chicken on the chicken parmesan pizza tastes awful. Will not return.

Pizza was good but not like I remember, I have gotten there in the past 6 months…
–Motor City Meatball… Meatballs, pepperoni, Italian sausage, and our fresh gourmet cheese blend topped with shredded parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning.
–Deluxe…Pepperoni, Italian sausage, red onions, green peppers, mushrooms and our fresh gourmet cheese blend.
–Hawaiian…Ham, pineapples, bacon and our fresh gourmet cheese blend.
It fit the cravings at the time but seem sadly low quality of ingredients.
I have also had the cheese bread from there a few times but it falls into the same category.
It’s up to you to pick this place…

The bbq chicken pizza and blt are both good, but I agree with most of the comments about being hit or miss, sometimes it’s great and sometimes it’s not! The drivers are sometimes rude but most of the time their not! The sticks are really tasty if there cooked through but I’ve gotten them where they have been a lil undone and still gooey inside… Most of the time I have no complaints but there’s been a few times, well let’s just say they took care of me and issues have been resolved!

The quality of the food is good, at least the food they actually bring. We ordered two calzones, a large salad, and Inn Stix with extra dipping sauce. They brought a small salad, forgot the dipping sauce, and left out a topping on one of the calzones that I paid an extra $ 1.50 for. All told, I paid over $ 5 extra for food I didn’t get. I will not be ordering from them again.

I’m not sure what happened to Cottage Inn since writing my last review. Something about their pizza has changed and I am not a fan.
I have had their pizza three times in the last two months and it just did not meet my expectations. The pizza never tastes like it’s fully done.
Tonight was no exception. Except this time my bread sticks were not done at all. My significant other took one bite and asked me if these were cheese filled. Unfortunately, they were not.
I am giving two stars only because they did offer to make us new sticks for free.

The spicy Mediterranean usually very good with the sesame seed crust deep dish. Spinach supreme is top notch especially for thin crust

This is the worst Cottage Inn ever. Since moving here 10 months ago we have ordered 3 times. That is because we used to love their food. The first 2 times we ordered pizza they took an hour and a half and the pizza was really bad. This last time we ordered subs and salad and the guy showed up with half of the order. I sent it back and order from China Ruby. How could they be so bad? Isn’t the Cottage Inn franchise a fool proof business? I have asked around the neighborhood and other people say the same thing.

It’s a really hit or miss place with this pizzeria. Sometimes what you get is extremely satisfying, and then sometimes what you get from there is rather just ‘blah’.
The options of their specialty pizzas are amazing. BBQ chicken, bacon cheeseburger, feta and hot pepper, veggie supreme, and on and on. It’s one of the few places where I don’t mind trying something new each time you order from there.
However, as mentioned on here already, sometimes the service is not as friendly as you’d like. But, you’ll survive.

This pizza sucks. Processed factory-made crust topped with a pile of horrible tasting sauce from a can. We all know what it feels like after filling your stomach with regret. If you don’t want that feeling, don’t eat this pizza.

I could tell it would not be plesent from the beginning, the girl on the phone was rude. Seemed annoyed with all my questions. This is my first time ordering from them I had questions about the vegetarian pizzas. I got lost on my way there, so I had to call again. The girl was twice as rude this time. Upon arrival the girl finally came to the counter dragging her feet like a 13 year old that just got out of bed. All and all the pizza was just okay, way too much cheese. I asked for parmesan crust, she just squirted a crap load of oil on and and another cup of cheese on the pizza… not the crust! Gross! It was so rich i could barely eat it! Never going back, I will stick with buddys.

Tonight I ordered a pizza and salad from Cottage Inn Madison Heights in Michigan. I was told that the pizza would be delivered in 30 minutes. After an hour of waiting, I called the store, and the girl who answered was not very apologetic. She said that they were very busy and that was it. When the pizza arrived (over 45 minutes late), it was cold and unappetizing. I talked to a manager, and she did not seem very concerned about my complaint. I will not order from them again.

I was driving around the area craving some pizza, so i had my nephew google the nearest pizza place, which ended being Cottage Inn.
I’ve heard of the palce and i know they have some other locations, but i had never been to a Cottage Inn Pizza before.
Needless to say… the greek pizza i ordered did not disappoint. The pizza was great! Fresh tomato sauce, crispy but not too thin dough, great seasoning, nice chunks of feta, sweet pepperoncini, and some fresh tomatoes!!!
