Very Good service. Came in and they installed a Battery for a 2004 vw golf, Auto zone and Orielly didn’t want to install the battery cause it was cold out and they told me to supply my own memory saver for the car (so i wouldnt lose my car codes). Took about 15 minutes one they got started. Very competitive prices but better service.

Such helpful employees. Fast and friendly service, work in the cold with a smile for their customers. I’ll return for all my auto part needs!

Top notch customer service.
My sad (and cold) tale begins with my car not starting. I was pretty sure it was the battery and since I just moved and have other vehicles available, I didn’t feel like messing around with it myself.
So yesterday on NYE, my friend and I decide ok, we’ll go to O’Reilly’s and have the battery tested and if bad, I’ll just buy one there and have them install it. At least, that’s what I thought. We go through the hassle of jumping the car (in 15 deg weather no less), drive it up there only to get asked to drive back home, uninstall the battery, and bring it back for testing. Um look, I don’t WANT to to that, that’s why I’m here and btw Mr. counterperson, you don’t fool me, you just didn’t want to deal with it.
So now I’m back home, aggravated and cold. I do a web search and Advance Auto Parts’ page says they will install most batteries free with purchase. Score! I give them a call and yes! They can do this!
A short drive up the road, pick my battery and it is installed in about 10 minutes. On New Years Eve. In sub-​zero temps right before they closed AND they didn’t act like I was asking the world of them. This is now my go to store for Auto Parts.
Oh and the reviewer commenting negatively on the neighborhood must be from out of town because it’s located in bland, suburban Madison Heights. It is as safe here as you’re gonna get in any metro area.

This place has been very good to me. I use it for all my auto part related purchases. Also, I change my own oil and they have a tank in the back to discard dirty oil. Very convenient.
They will do free diagnosing. They will replace your battery for free. They have helped me save a lot of money from the repair shops.
The guys are very helpful and pretty knowledgeable.
The area is very safe and pleasant. No need to worry about your car in the parking lot, please.

Walking in there is like walking into the late 80’s/early 90’s. the employees know nothing. and while he’s taking his time finding the product you need, you are worried about your car parked outside. nuff said.
