My wife and i come here whenever we are going through Madera. the shrimp coctail is the best I’ve ever had. We are frequently the only gringos in the place. (A good sign) friendly staff, great food, reasonable prices– what more could you want?

I have a picky appetite. Every time I order from this place, the food has always been good. Today was no exception. I had three shrimp tacos that were just delicious.
Nice small corner location. Great parking. And the place was clean.

We had lunch here today. We’ve eaten here before, but did not do a review. Today my wife and I shared an order of Carne Asada Tacos and a Burrito Supreme. They were quite busy and took a little time to Order, the lady was alone. She was super friendly and did apologize. Our food came quickly and was very fresh. Nice and hot. The tacos were loaded with meat and had guacamole. Very tasty. The burritos had a delicious sauce on it, I did think they had too many beans.
This is a clean, no frills restaurant. Quality authentic food. We will go back again.

Great find! Best chicken enchiladas ever. Carnitas excellent. Seafood on Sunday was the thing to have!

This is me and the Hubbs favorite Mexican food spot in madera. Staff is always very nice, good service without being overly attentive. The house of special soup is amazing! You must try it if you are here… Carne asada burrito and Chile Verde are very good too… If I had a complaint… the salsa is inconsistent, it may be amazing one time and the next just pretty good, but I can live with that with food this good!

I called to order breakfast burritos and realized I had called the WRONG Mejias. I felt bad so was courteous enough to call. The girl that answered this morning was RUDE!!! She said that is why they say there location. I would have understood her if she hadn’t mumbled before I hung up! Now I know I will NEVER go to that Mejias. Employees like that ruin businesses. We live out of town and for years been clients of Mejias by ford. Their food is fabulous and have always had spectacular service.

Solid hole-​in-​the-​wall type taqueria. Ordered chicken fajitas, they were out, so I asked for steak instead, yet they only charged me for the chicken (it was $ 1 cheaper). It’s the small things that matter, and I appreciated that gesture. If I’m craving cheaper Mexican food, and I’m in the area, I would definitely hit them up again, but I wouldn’t plan my day around having lunch here.

Good good good is what I say.
They have very good breakfast burritos, there lunch and dinner plates are full of flavor, we do take out 90% of the time, there dining area is not real big but it works just fine.
They have good seafood also, the shrimp cocktail is O so good. They do have beer for dine in only.

I honestly didn’t expect much, but it was really good.
The waitress was fabulous!
A diner atmosphere, clean and basic, light and bright.
I requested a deconstructed chicken tostado (so-​to-​speak).
Prepared exactly how I wanted and had wonderful flavor.
My companion ordered a burrito and said it was delicious (it looked yummy).
Excellent service, tasty food, easy-​going atmosphere and super low prices (they really need to charge more). You can’t beat this place.
We happened by and will make a point to eat there again.

Ok after numerous attempts trying to locate good local Menudo restaurant in Fresno we stumbled here on way home to SJ.
We had a huge party of 12 and the place was crowded with many locals. After waiting a few minutes we were able to rearrange our seating and get to ordering.
Everyone had different plates such Hamburgers con papa fritas, Camarones Mojo, Enchiladas, Chorizo con Hash brown, Carne Asada Taco and Coctel de Camarones.
I took it to a different level and ordered the House Special-​Carne en se juga con frijoles, cebolla, tocino y chile verde. Omg this was very very good. Not at all too spicy and flavored very well. It is served with tortillas but i didn’t eat them since i was soo involved in the caldo itself.
I also had a small coctel and michelada. Those both were good as well. But i will definitely be making a trip for this House Special when I’m in the area. :)
