I had a horrible experience with this gym. If you’re like me you hate signing contracts with gyms. When I joined the gym back in 2011 I made it clear to the girl when I joined that I didn’t want to be locked into a contract and she assured me I wasn’t. Yeah well, I guess whatever I signed was a 3-year contract! Needless to say, I tried to cancel my membership one day and was denied because they claimed I signed a 3-year contract and would need to pay $ 1,500 to get out of the contract. WHAT?! I called and tried to meet with the General Manager who was disrespectful and wouldn’t do anything for me. I had to cancel my debit card because they kept charging it each month. Needless, to say a few months later my account went into collections and they even reported me to a credit bureau so my credit got hit and this will be the case for 3 more years over their disgusting tactics. I even tried to report them to the BBB. Guess what? They’re not a member. I would steer clear of this gym at all costs since its run by unethical people.

Great classes, clean facilities, friendly staff — would recommend to anyone! There are plenty of options for getting a great workout in. The personal trainer know what they are doing and the sales people will work with you on membership options. Overall I am very pleased.

I have been frequenting this gym for the past couple weeks during a work project in Macon. If you are staying in a hotel in the area, you might be able to attend for free. Ask your front desk person. Love love love this gym. There is a lot of great equipment, and the staff is very friendly. The indoor turf area is a great addition — it gives you some open space to jump around and do some power movements. There are barbell benches, adjustable benches, a power rack, various kettle bells, medicine balls, battling ropes, and even big tires out back to flip at your disposal. The bathrooms are always clean, and towels are available for free at the entrance. I have 2 gripes with this place, which is why I give it 3 stars. 1. The weight plates are all over the place. It’s messy and unorganized. Patrons don’t seem to ever really re-rack their weights. Where’s the gym etiquette? There also doesn’t seem to be any employees tending to the free weight area to clean up the mess. 2. There is only one rack to squat in. You can’t have just one power rack. The squat is arguably the king of all exercises, and that leaves you waiting a lot whenever someone else is occupying the racking.

I was a member of Kinetix for 2 years. The classes and equipment were great. The contract is terrible. I moved to another state and have been trying to quit for two months now and they won’t stop charging me. If you join you better plan on it being forever.
