Not as new & modern as some of the other HIEs along I75 however staff was nice, beds & bathroom were clean, and a room was available at 10:00 at night for a break from driving. Good pick for the options in area.

Pulled in to this hotel around 9:30 pm last night. I was quite happy that they had rooms available as they seemed like a new-​ish hotel. I’d hoped to find the Hampton inn, but it appears it’s not built yet. Ahem
Anyway, the room was large, the beds were. firm, and the mattress cover kept sliding around every time I turned over. Otherwise, I was REALLY happy with the accommodations.
And breakfast was pretty damned good too! I love their cinnamon rolls!

I’m a frequent business traveler to Macon, and this Holiday Inn Express is my home away from home. It’s always clean and comfortable, with a great breakfast buffet and friendly staff.
While the location is super-​convenient, I was a little put off on my first visit by the older, sketchier motels in front of the Holiday Inn Express. There’s nothing to worry about, though — it’s safe and clean here. Highly recommend.
A caveat: on my most recent trip there were tidiness and repair issues — including an elevator that went out of order because of a minor malfunction. Details, people!
