American Cycle & Fitness-The Trek Bicycle Store

On 2 separate occasions I visited this store trying to purchase a Trek bicycle with no luck. The bikes themselves are second to none and priced fairly. The reason I left the store both times without purchasing was due to the attitude of the sales staff. All 3 bikes were purchased at a competitors store where I received fantastic customer service.

Absolutely the worst experience I’ve had in a long time. The customer service was awful, and the employee behind the county was rude and condescending. I felt like just another dollar to them. I ended up canceling my order and visiting a competitor, where I received exemplary service and wonderful treatment.

I’ll try to keep it short…
I came in three weeks ago during their Spring Sale to get a bike. They didn’t have my size in, but told me they’d get it in in a week and they’d call me when it was in. A week and a half went by and I called in – they basically just said «Whoops.» Well, of course they wouldn’t remember to call me back. They got $ 700. Pretty convenient they just forgot.
When I called, they said the bike isn’t being made anymore, so they’d call around and see if any place had it… turns out a place did, and I got to pick it up four days after that call. After getting home, I noticed the bike had apparently been dropped on its side: the left handle bar was scuffed and the left pedal was scratched. Being OCD about things like this, I was expecting to be furious, but I was just glad to have a bike — and a sexy one at that. Still, I would have expected them to point it out to me and asked me if it was alright with me. I find it hard to believe nobody knew about it.
The people here are really helpful, but my experience could have been better. I figure it was a bit of a fluke, so I’d recommend at least looking to get a bike here despite that.

Excellent customer service. I’m new to the area and the staff told me some local trails to check out. I’m not a Trek rider but may be in the future because of these guys!

Getting me to exercise or spend money is no easy feat. Getting me to spend money on something exercise based, nearly impossible. Somehow, American Cycle and Fitness achieved the impossible.
Just over 2 years ago I was looking for something to compliment my fitness routine. I was just starting to get out of the gym, and started exploring outdoor options. One option was bike riding, which was humbly suggested by a woman I crushed on HARD at my gym at that time. She was an avid biker, and biking was my in to spending some time with her, so I HAD to get a bike.
She suggested a few places, and they were ok at best. Somehow, I wandered into American Cycle and Fitness and my life was changed.
Not only was the service phenomenal, but the selections were immense. Mountain bikes, street bikes, racing bikes. There were almost too many to choose from.
The gentleman who helped me suggested that I come back in a few weeks for their annual sale (I think it was in March or April) because I told him I only had $ 650 to spend. And that’s what I did.
When I returned, I couldn’t believe how awesome the newer models were, and I couldn’t contain myself. Completely unleashed I nearly doubled the amount of money I wanted to spend on a hybrid Trek bike. My only regret? That I don’t bike everyday with the beautiful bitch I left the store with.

Great customer service! The staff is very friendly and knowledgable. I would recommend this store to anyone that is looking to purchase a bike and/​or bike accessories.
I purchased a bike in mid march and they were kind enough to inform me of their upcoming sale. They gave me the opportunity to come back in with my receipt for a price adjustment during their April sale. When I did I couldn’t have been happier with the savings! The sale was awesome!
If you’re new to the bike scene they will fit you with the correct bike. The staff will ask questions to gather information in order to do so. They are very patient and helpful.

Went in here to buy my first road bike, and I’m glad I did. Even though the store was really busy (they were having a big sale), I still got a lot of personal attention and they answered all the questions I had. They still remember me every time I go in for service, and they’ve given me many helpful tips so I can enjoy my new bike. They’re a little lacking on accessories, but this is definitely the place to go for a new bike.
