My husband and I both had the beef pastie meal. It was delicious. Gravy was so flavorful. Cole slaw was amazing. And cookies. Need I say more.

This has been our go-​to place every time we visit Mackinaw City. The crusts are flaky and the fillings are delish! The people working there are friendly and always helpful to those who don’t know what a pastie is or have other questions. It’s a great family business, good prices, and awesome food.

This is a must stop for us everytime we are in Mackinaw City. We each get a different pastie and we share, so we can taste them all! It is impossible to pick a favorite. They are all yummy, filling and piping hot when served! The staff has always been pleasant and helpful.
I always buy a dozen frozen beef pasties to bring home to my son (a 10 hour drive) before leaving Mackinaw City. The staff offers many helpful suggestions to insure they arrive home in good condition. But after all this time, I have it down to a science and the dozen pasties do arrive completely frozen, even after 10 hours!
Forget your diet… These pasties are worth EVERY calorie! The crust is to die for and the fillings are awesome. They do not skimp on their fillings! Once you try Mackinaw Pastie Company pasties… You won’t get your pasties anywhere else!!!

We ordered a beef and a chicken pastie to try. I thought the beef was good, but the chicken was excellent! Make sure to order a side of gravy to go with it! We had chocolate chip cookies afterwards, which were delicious!

Very tasty, hot and extremely filling.
Excellent location right as you come in to town, perfect for post Island full day.
The service was fast,
The diner is simple but very clean, as were the bathrooms.
We want to go back again tomorrow for another one!
Hint — make sure you order a side of the gravy.

My husband is a pasty officiando and he gives these folks a big thumbs up. Small homey feel and very friendly staff. Food is fresh tasting and portions are more than ample. There are many other places in town to eat but none is more authentic. Don’t miss this opportunity for genuine Youpper fare.

You have to like pasties… it’s that simple. This place ROCKS! I’m a yooper who now lives south, and for the past 12 yrs, we stop for lunch /​supper enjoy nice hot fresh pasties and then take home 2 dozen frozen pasties! These pasties taste just like good ol’ mom used to make… they offer gravy and other toppings but the most important thing is they serve Heinz Ketsup! Not once have I ever had bad food or service and I look forward to going north! We were just there 4 weeks ago and the guy behind the counter was super nice and friendly. I hope nothing ever changes. It’s great!

I tried this place and probably won’t return. The pasty wasn’t too bad, but i’ve definitely had much better. The service was far from impressive though. The employees seemed to have an attitude that customers were inconveniencing them. Cookies were pretty good, but not enough to justify a return trip.

The food wasn’t terrible. But maybe I have a different idea of what a pastie should be. There is a lot of filling in these but the crust is like a flimsy pie crust. I’m used to pasties that you can carry with you that have a nice thick crust that adds to the texture of the experience. My nephews liked the cookies though.
