I made the reservation because I was wanting to be near the Shepler’s overflow parking lot. The front desk was very nice and pleasant to deal with. The room was spacious and appeared very clean. The bed was very comfy and I was able to rest well that night. I was traveling with a senior citizen and she stated that the bed seemed to be high off the ground especially if you had hip surgery or height challenged. Also, I noticed that when I took a shower it made a teapot whistling sound when the hot water was turned on in the shower. My travel companion told me she could hear it in the walls too inside the room. When she took a shower later that evening it didn’t make the noise so I’m not sure what I did differently. The breakfast was very good. They had plenty of choices to choose from. I noticed the attendant replacing things quickly. One should be able to find something to eat with the selection provided. I would recommend this place for a nice pleasant stay. We stayed for the night and felt very safe.

Very clean Hotel. The staff very attentive. My only complaint is the comforter had a terrible smell to it. The walls a little thin also. I would stay here again.

Excellent Hotel. Friendly staff. Had a great room. King bed, sofa, frig and micro, two chairs, desk and chair very large and spacious too. bath separate from sink so one can shower as one brushes teeth. Nice pool and hot tub(very hot). free wi fi. Cable TV that includes the SYFY channel. Close to many restaurants. Free breakfast and lots of parking. Plus they accept AARP and give a discount. Will back at this hotel again.

Not bad at all. Typical Mackinaw City hotel accommodations. Comfortable rooms, good continental breakfast, nice pool, decent rates. There’s nothing out of the ordinary as far as the Baymont Inn goes. It’s pretty cookie cutter, status quo when it comes to hotels of similar quality and price range found around town. It fits the same mold as every Days Inn, Comfort Inn and Econo Lodge in the area. Decent hotel rooms, free continental breakfast, average rates. This one lands right in the middle of the pack, maybe a bit above because of its central location and good service from the staff. It does seem to be our preferred stop if we are planning a trip to Mackinaw City, though. The décor is pretty staid– your average Baymont Inn standard room in any town. The rooms are large enough, not cramped at all, and the beds are comfortable, the bedding is clean and not stained, and they come with the typical amenities– i.e. hair dyer, ironing board/iron, coffee maker, assorted coffees and teas, bathroom toiletries, etc. The hair dryer actually came in handy the last time when I forgot to pack mine. The WI-FI signal was always very reliable and the continental breakfast featured a make your own waffle bar. Room rates are on par with other local hotels in the area. The prices definitely go down considerably once it’s past peak season(post Labor Day), so it’s always nice to stop for a few days during the fall to see the foliage change color. I’ve stayed here numerous times and it’s consistent. clean, comfortable and very affordable…

The very definition of A-OK. Stayed here for two nights a few weeks ago since they are a pet friendly hotel and we had our pup($ 15 extra a night). It definitely did the job as a place to rest/sleep but it definitely didn’t have very many bells and whistles. The room is very basic and a bit bland. Clean, but there isn’t much to write home about it. We had a king bed and I will say that was one comfy ass bed. We couldn’t get our pup out of it in the mornings. He was so happy to have that much space as we have a queen at home! Bathroom was also clean and the shower had good pressure. The sink is in the room itself and it also comes with a desk, a chair for sitting, TV with a smattering of channels, and a coffee maker. All the basics. There’s also a pool in the hotel but I didn’t make it over there to report on. The walls are pretty thin and we could hear nearly everything going on in the bathroom next door to us(nothing gross, thankfully, but definitely the shower and sink running, toilet flushing, etc). Our«neighbors» took quite a while to get ready for bed one night and it was fairly distracting. Also lots of families stay here and the kids running up and down the halls were a bit loud as well but luckily that was more during the day/mornings than at night so it wasn’t terrible. The location is GREAT. Right in downtown Mackinaw City so we could walk to all the restaurants, shops, and(very important for my fella) the Starbucks. It was also walking distance to the Ferry lines to Mackinac Island, the bay, Colonial Michilimackinac, and other noteworthy sights in MC. So that was pretty awesome. We just parked our car when we got there and basically didn’t need it again until we left. I’d definitely stay here again because it did the job but if you’re looking for luxury or some place a bit fancier I’d say keep looking. But if you’re ok with basic, then this place will work well for you.
