Stopped by for lunch.
Recommend by the local resident Bruce and Ruby
who raises angus and hereford cattle nearby.
Iowa pork chop was the special of the day.
Restaurant is super clean and owner quite hospitable and friendly.
I was impressed with this little town of Macedonia with all the historical preservation and effort to keep the community active with their own live theater.
Long ways from where I live but hope to visit again someday.

Very friendly small town atmosphere! I’m talking SMALL… like 350-ish…give or take 50 and if someone had a baby over night!
My husband and I both ordered the Ribeye steaks medium rare, bake potato and a side salad (Iceburg) for 14.00. The steaks were prepared perfectly! Great flavor of the meat, not over-seasoned! And they had great grill marks… I don’t know about you but I like my steaks on the pretty side… it’s just a great bonus to great flavor! We never did get a beverage refill and we had to go tot he register to get our ticket. When I mentioned to the gentleman cashing us out that I would’ve loved another ice-tea…he apologized and offered me one to go! DING! Right answer!
The atmosphere is small town comfortable where you can wear jeans or work clothes and be fine or we saw a group of women dressed up for some sort of celebration…
Everything seemed clean! The ceiling fan blades were clean and so were the tops of all the hanging lights.
