I enjoy this place, fresh, well cooked. Unfortunately they are located in a struggling plaza. IT was dead when I went in and took a holler for them to acknowledge that I had come in. BUT this time I went in and stayed while they cooked and I wasn’t thrilled with the cleanliness. An egg roll came with my order and there happened to be one sitting on the counter for who knows how long. The employee went to put it in the fryer, I asked how long it had been on the counter and requested a fresh one be fried up, it took a few tries to get my request across. Garlic chicken was delicious.

I found the food to be over cooked and very bland. I had the wontons — HORRIBLE!!! The General Tzo Chicken was mediocre at best and the pork fried rice was mushy! I’d drive a few more miles and go to Palmyra, Newark or Periton for Chinese next time.

Their advantage: only game in town. For any other Chinese food, you have to drive a town or two over. That’s all they got — everything else here is a bit sub-par. Service is never bad, but never good. You order, they tell you how long and how much, you wait, you get food. They may or may not use please and thank you. They may or may not understand all of what you say, and vice versa. You may have the owners’ children staring you down the entire time you’re there. I’ve made the mistake of eating in once, had a little girl hanging around me while I sat there and ate. Her mother called her a couple times, but she always found her way back to my table. The workers never say anything offensive, but they don’t smile much and have that same habit of staring until it feels almost hostile. It’d be fine if the food was good and you got it for take out. But, the food isn’t very good. It’s not terrible, but I’ve had much better right in Palmyra. The sesame chicken sauce is gloopy and very sweet, the chicken itself seems to have more batter than meat, and the egg rolls cost the same, if not more, as before but have shrunk down to spring roll size. They don’t have cheese wontons, and their crab rangoon is just meh — not enough filling. I’ve tried the pork fried rice, and it has hardly any veggies or meat. All this for prices that are about the same as everyone else. I can still eat it and enjoy it, but I know I could get better elsewhere for the same cost.
