I’ve had the displeasure of staying at this hotel when I was in between apartments. I really wish I didn’t have to give this place a star at all. There are only 3 good things I can say about this«hotel» is that(1) you can pay $ 300 for a weekly stay, and you will get maid service and(2) it’s across the street from a Jewel’s and next door to a Subway,(3) free Wifi. That being said, let me tell you about the place… For the most part, this place advertises as a «hotel», but it’s really one of those hourly joints. You know the type… and believe me, you’ll hear ANY and EVERYTHING that goes on next door, whether you want to or not! I awoke one morning at 3am to hear the people in the room next door accuse each other of robbery, prostitution, assault and then eventually rape. Yes, you heard that right. 10 minutes later, I got to hear these same people recount their woes for the sheriffs of Lyons. There were 5 cruisers in the parking lot and every single officer present was pissed off to be there. I was pissed off that I had to hear all of that crap right outside my door when I had to be at work in 3.5 hours. On Good Friday, I heard a man beating the crap out of his«date». I was scared out of my mind. I beat on the wall one good time, and I heard the man say«you want them to call the cops? Shut up before they call the cops!» Luckily for me, the beating stopped, and the lady stopped screaming for her life and started laughing and joking instead. I will never forget that Good Friday as long as I live. Another good thing to note: if you so happen to HAVE to stay at this hotel– do NOT check into any of the rooms on the ground floor, especially on the side that is facing the Aldi’s grocery store. The hotel is located next door to a Subway, and their dumpster is just feet away from the hotel. I had a freaking mouse run into my room and then it crawled into a crack in the wall between my room and the crazy room next door. I called the front desk about it and they said that they would move to another room; then they told me that if I had a mouse in the new room, then I’d have to «deal with it», as it would not be their fault. Seriously??? Also, if you have a family, be advised that they do have a porn channel-make sure you know what channel it is so that you AND your kids won’t be surprised when they decide to channel surf. I did have a MAJOR altercation with one of the maids. She decided to bang on my door as if she were a Nazi leftover, and then walked away from the door. I opened the door(she had run into the room next door) and I asked her if she had banged on my door. She proceeded to tell me that it was past checkout time, and I needed to either pay or get out. I had already paid the night before(unbeknownst to her) and she kept arguing with me. I had to go to the front desk and tell the manager about her behavior(it was getting to the point that we were yelling at the top of our lungs at each other), and then he set her straight. I have NOIDEA why a MAID would feel it was her responsibility to be the Room Police, especially when she was in the wrong. I also had an altercation with someone at the front desk who tried to overcharge me, and when I called him on it, he tried to say that he was new, when he wasn’t. When I threatened to go to a new hotel, his supervisors quickly tried to calm me down, but I was already pissed. Stay here if you have nowhere else to go. Stay here if you don’t mind hearing people arguing, fighting, attempting to kill each other, and banging relentlessly on doors if they are locked out of their rooms.
