An establishment that will hire virtually anybody regardless of their experience. Seemed to be tampering with the food if they don’t like the way you look. Gave me food that they probably spit in. Just the same ol Colorado immaturity

I love their beer but the food was pretty bad. I had expected more from this outfit.

What a great place to eat! I have liked the beer for a while and when visiting Estes Park recently we decided to eat here. Everyone loved their food. My son thought the Yaya’s chicken strips were some of the best he’s tasted and that’s saying something from Mr Finicky. I had the Silo Burger which was fantastic! Loved the heat of the hot sauce on top of an excellent burger and pulled pork. Other folks had the Jambalaya Mac & cheese and raved about how good it was. My only complaint about the place is that it’s too far from MN, but the next time I’m in CO I will be back.

Unexpectedly delicious. As the original location for Oskar Blues, their main brewery is now in Longmont and this location has been converted back to a brew pub. But not your average brew pub. Everything is very well seasoned and heightened from the norm. My husband had a burger with guacamole and salsa on and thought the patty was juicy and flavorful. I had the Hippie sandwich — a vegetarian option that was simple and perfect. Sometimes simple is better! Very fresh and refreshing. The fries and mashed potatoes were equally delicious and flavorful with excellent seasoning. Our server was also great and let us taste some of the limited release Oskar Blues beers. Great experience!

Long time Unilocal user. Long time Oscar’s fan. Family planned to go to Oscar Blues after road trip from Grand Lake, Colorado. We held off lunch to get to Oscars, with 3 kids ready for delayed lunch after 2.5 hour drive over Trail Ridge road. Everyone was super hungry but willing to hold off until we got to Lyons. Everyone excited to be at Oscars. Sent«selfies» to far away family publicly excited to be at Oscar blues. Love Dale’s and Mamma’s Yella. Service was terrible and Food was worse than terrible. We rarely send anything back, but in this case 3 of 4 meals were either really not good or the order was way off. 2nd round of food was bad enough that 3 hungry kids needed to stop elsewhere to fill the tank. Much of the food was left uneaten. Nice personality with the servers, everyone seemed happy. Yet missed orders, simple things missing, 20 minutes wait and 3 requests to simply get salad dressing, as it came without. I ended up getting in server station 4 – 5 times for basic stuff, silverware, ketchup, napkins, water cups and rag to clean off table. Wife ate salad dry with no dressing. Left ½ of it. Readily willing to jump in and lend a hand, but this was stupid. Server blamed kitchen and bus boys. Needless to say, we left totally bummed. Don’t know if something happened that day, but 6 crappy servings left a large impression. We left a large pile of uneaten food at the table with a large tab. Maybe Oscars is about the beer and food is an after-though?

Mama’s little yella pils. I never knew or paid attention that it was from this brewery. The first time I had it was in 2011 in Orlando, and anytime I see it on a menu I order. It’s a small-batch version of the beer that made Pilsen. It’s not like other pilsners that taste watered down. Sadly, when I was here I felt too nauseous from the altitude to enjoy one. Instead, I had a ginger ale. But so stoked I got to be here! I went for the chicken lettuce wraps which are way diff than what you’d get at PF Chang’s. White meat chicken breast sliced up on romaine lettuce leaves, edamame, shaved carrots, bean sprouts and hoisin sauce. Presentation looks so great, but when I bit into the first wrap, the hoisin was too powerful for me. It made it taste like tequila and I can’t say the other part. It was all great flavors blending together and I think because I’m not used to being so high up(I live at sea level), I was already nauseous I couldn’t really enjoy my meal. I felt so bd because it really looked so appetizing! I did get one wrap down and had to save the rest as a midnight snack which I did end up finishing later that evening. The only thing I’d change is the amount of hoisin. If it was drizzled less it would be much better. I had to scrap a lot of it off. Overall a great fresh meal after a hike. Their chicken wings looked so tasty too! The smell made my mouth water and I really wanted to try my buddies wings, but I didn’t want to ask. My friend said she goes to the Oskar Blues out in Asheville where she lives every Friday night. Loved sitting outside and watching the sun set behind the mountains. Relaxing and would love to come back again and get Mama’s little yells pils and some wings.

Vastly preferable to the overpriced, corporate Craft Beer Disneyland location in Longmont.

We waited ten minutes to get seated, only because there was no host in sight. The food was disgusting. I had the pulled pork sandwich and my wife the chicken tenders. Even the beer was uninspiring.

I was very much looking forward to coming here, and it was a huge let down. I visited Oskar Blues around 2:45 on a Saturday after a hike in the RMNP. I am an avid Mamas Yella Pils drinker at home in Denver. Anyway, my experience here was underwhelming. I sat outside at the patio along Main St. There were roughly 10 people sitting within the area. I was interested in tasting some new beers, and the bartender was not in the mood to talk. He came off with a very aggressive attitude when I asked questions, and acted as though he was in a hurry. How the heck can you be an a**hole when you work at a brewery?! Completely killed the vibe. I’ve visited around 15 breweries in the CO Front Range, and Oskar Blues is the only brewery where I’ve had a bad experience. Never again. I gave this place 2 stars only because I love the beer they brew.

Ok we love this place cause our kids live in Lyons and it is easy and fast and laid back. We always eat upstairs and the kids know everyone. Good selection of their beers. Food is always good. Kids like it so we like it. Pizza is good. Chicken wings are good. Catfish PoBoy is good. Burgers are good. Salads are good. So yeah we like it lots. And we can play games while we eat and wait.

We stopped by on a Friday night and took up a corner booth. Checked out the band(some good folksy mountain type stuff), watched the hippie chicks dance around, drank a couple Old Chubbs. Played a couple games in the mini arcade down stairs. How can you go wrong?

Classic brewery in the center of Lyons known for great live blues and microbrews. Had the Ten Fidy Stout(pictured) and the Swiss and Bleu Cheese burger. Both were great.

I was a little let down by Oskar Blues. I was really excited when I knew I would be traveling to Denver to give this brewery a try, however it appears that they weren’t as excited to have travelers… sad face. I asked our waitress for suggestions on what to get and she was less than thrilled to help me pick out a brew and a sandwich, and when I did decide, it took her over 10 minutes to even get our beers out to us. When we got our nacho appetizer, it was cold and the nachos weren’t even crunchy… bleh. I am totally down to give Oskar Blues another try because my Hippie Sandwich was indeed very tasty… I just hope the staff can get as excited for the guests as the guests are to be patronizing your business.

I have always loved Oskar Blues beer, so we just had to come here for lunch on vacation. We sat outside; the view was pretty and the weather was perfect. Service was quick and friendly, beer was nice and fresh, and the food was very good. I had a sandwich called«Phở-Boy» which was a weird hybrid of an asian french dip sandwich and phở«au-jus» for dipping. Unlike anything I have ever had and very tasty. We didn’t have much time to stay and hangout, but Grill and Brew seems like a cool place in a nice area. Will return next time I am in the area.

Oskar Blues has the advantage of being the only brew pub in Lyons. The place is huge but large sections were blocked off when we were there on a Monday afternoon. There were only a few people there but the wait staff seemed to be distracted. The bartender seemed disappointed my friend(and designated driver) did not order a beer. Once I got my beer everyone seemed to disappear. The décor was very cool, I especially liked the creatures made out of beer cans hanging above the bar, and the deck looking out over the mountains was super. The brewers actually sat down at the bar as we were leaving and asked about the pour. We thanked them for their efforts at making a good beer but we probably won’t see them again.

This place is the embodiment of the Colorado attitude. Craft Beer, Rock & Roll is their specialty with a twist of Country to make it cool. They either have a live band or they play alternative rock thru the speakers. The food is casual and tasty. I had the red IPA(G’Knight) which was like a soft blanket. My man always drinks the Yella Pills. Prob so he can drive because I can’t after the G’Knight– it’s 8% alcohol!(Just kidding! I get a smaller 10oz pour so I’m not actually that tipsy like I may be with a full pint. We like the grilled chicken Thai peanut wraps. Yummy! Cruise in on your hog… Or go Boulder’ite on your road bike. You will even love it by car. Just come. It’s well worth it.

How can a brewery with a history of such decent brews and a cool vibe have such a disappointing restaurant? Stopped in after a backpacking trip in RoMo NP. We were hot and tired. Got shuffled around from person to person and floor to floor, being told, «go see the hostess; we’re trying that out today». We sat at our table for almost 10 minutes without water or any sign of a waitress, so my husband approached the bar to order us some beers. That clearly was not cool, and resulted in our waitress quickly appearing. The place has signed 8×10’s all over the place, but the music was seriously lacking. While we were waiting for our waitress, I heard: Garth brooks, johnny cash spoken word, the who, and Miley Cyrus. Pick a genre! Decide who you want to be, OB! Stop trying to cater to everyone. Chicken and avocado did not come with avocado, it came with bad guac, and was served on a pita. Tasteless. It even had bacon on it, and still somehow managed to be completely devoid of flavor. Same with the sweet potato fries, which were a $ 1.99 upcharge. They were beautiful. Perfectly cut, nearly perfectly cooked… but almost completely flavorless. It would take special talent to remove the flavor from bacon and sweet potatoes, yet somehow they did! Potato skins were not delicious, but hubs liked his burger. I agree with others – it’s definitely overpriced for what you get. $ 50 could have been better spent elsewhere. I wish I would have gotten 2 beers from them, and spent the other $ 40 on pizza or even fast food(yup, I said it). I had the Old Chub for the first time, which was pretty good. Hubs got an Imperial Red, which was far hoppier and bitter than I would have expected. I will continue to drink their beer, but I hope to never find myself in their restaurant again in the future.

I have grown up coming here after hiking RMNP, but it has a lot of work to get back to where it used to be. Maybe they could get some tips from Caitlin Jenner on how to get a makeover. It’s not bad but it’s not really great either anymore. I enjoyed my burger today and I was so hungry I got the mac n cheese as my side, which was probably the best mac n cheese I have ever had! I really recommend it, as long as you have a big appetite haha. It was really rich too, so the cup/bowl portion was actually perfect. My family also all enjoyed their entrees. The restaurant however was super, super dirty(floors, chairs) and when I went to the restroom for a second I thought I was back in a RMNP porta potty… Yuuuuck!!! Katie our server was very sweet, even when we didn’t order any beer, which is what they are famous for, or any apps. It was just a quick dinner and she was great. I would come back because it’s a post-hike tradition, but they need to work on how often they tidy up. The Longmont location is so much nicer. Oh well!

Great beers here! Oskar Blues has a nice array of freshly crafted brews for your tasting pleasure. I had the Old Chub Nitro and my oh my was it tasty! The nitro experience on this scotch ale is wonderful. Please try it! My food was a different story. I am the type of guy who will order an ahi tuna burger at a brewery — for better or worse(ok worse). So that’s exactly what I did. I ordered the tuna burger on the Trustafarian and it was not good. The quality of the tuna was off putting. Honestly, I normally will not leave a restaurant without either a clean plate or a to-go container. That was not the case here. Half full plate and a half full stomach is what I had to show for a trip to Lyons. This place is a great joint for a beer and to mingle with some locals — Lyons is a great community! Just stay away from the tuna — anything but the tuna!!!
