We two tried to ordered killer burger but seemed like it was too big for two. Then we ordered bacon and cheddar and individual pizza. They came with satisfied size and great taste: fresh and rich enough. We strongly recommended this restaurant if you are on the way to Bend.

Stopped for breakfast, but the breakfast menu ended 6 minutes before we arrived, we were dissapointed because the chicken fried steak looked awesome, but the lunch was excellent! Burger on cibatta bun was great! BLT on Dave’s Killer bread delicious! Will absolutely go again next time we’re headed across the pass.

Stopped by for lunch after exploring some logging roads on a beautiful spring day. We were greeted promptly, invited to choose a seat, and our waitress was super nice, and apologized in advance as they were short two staff, and the day before had been SUPER busy, so they were low in prep. I still felt the service was quick and friendly, though, but the warning was appreciated. :) The burgers are delish. Seriously good burgers. Substantial, great flavor, and well built — something you’re actually able to eat! The hand cut fries were great, too. I often find this style of fry gross as they are too greasy, but these were perfect.

Wonderful gem in the middle of the hills. Our group of 12 people(incl 6 kids) loved this place. Going between Bend and Portland. We loved the burgers, hot Italian sandwich, kids pizzas, and meatloaf sandwich. Fries were piping hot. Clean atmosphere. Everything we were hoping for.

First restaurant we saw on the way back from an Opal Creek hike. We were like 14 people, without notice, and they did pretty good. It took awhile for our orders to come out, but like I said were were a large group. So, we were patient. I had the fish and chips, which were pretty tasty along with a decent glass of wine for a place such as this. We all left well fed and happy. I heard the green bean fries were really yummy. I did have a few myself. I could see stopping by here again after a hike or something. Was an ok experience.

Excellent. Chicken Pot Pie soup with a waffle biscuit, so yummy and filling. Hamburgers is the real thing! Will definitely stop here again! Clean and friendly too.

We love this place. First I must add that we are«locals» and have dined there many, many times. We do not know the owners personally or professionally. Next I need to say to the reviewer’s who said that service was slow: Everything is cooked from scratch and this takes time, it is not a FASTFOOD place. However, nothing we ever ordered took THAT long. The staff there is friendly and helpful with ordering. And finally the food! Every thing we have ordered has been excellent, from the pizza to the wonderful burgers and fries. I could go on and on about their wonderful food but I won’t. I will just say, go there, eat their delicious food, you will be glad you did!!!

We were there on a Saturday night and were told to go find a table and the waitress would be there shortly with a menu. It was hard to decide what to get with the extensive menu but we finally decided on the«Cali«pizza. It was very good but I prefer a thicker and chewy crust. I had the IPA and my husband had coffee(designated driver), we both enjoyed our drinks. I would have ordered another beer but it was getting close to closing time and I didn’t have time. I would have given it five stars but since it was after closing time the outside lights were turned off and my husband was unable to see the planter by the door, tripped & fell flat on his face. I would suggest that they keep the lights on until all of the customers have gone. We will return & recommend to all of our friends.

This may not be a fair score since I have only eaten there once and it was shortly after they first opened. I had the tomato bisque soup and a salad. Both were very good. My husband had the fish and chips. The fries were homemade and very good, however, he said his fish was greasy. The waitress was very nice and the inside was clean and cozy.

STOP the outside doesn’t do it justice! Clean and really nice place inside and friendly service! Saturn Burger with fried cheese was super cool and good. A basic cheese and sausage pizza was amazing actually. Warning: The G-tots were not good!

What a great find! We’ve made the drive over Santiam Pass often over the past ten or more years and notice the changes along the way. Ever since they took over from the Swiss Village I was curious to try it out. We finally had the chance this past weekend and had a great experience. First, the remodel on the inside looks great. It still retains the cozy charm but brought the space into the 21st century. Everything was clean and tidy. Service was attentive as you would expect in a small mom-and-pop type restaurant. As for the food — wow these burgers were filling. Everything was freshly prepared and high quality ingredients used throughout. Most surprising was the great beer selection from primarily local breweries(Salem and Central Oregon). We will definitely be stopping back next time we pass by.

Food: Three stars. Five for Roger’s vegetarian pizza on a vegetarian pizza scale and four on an all-pizzas scale. Two for Lana’s tri-tip, which turned out to be a sandwich and fries, both of which she left partially uneaten. The fries went almost entirely uneaten. One for the ice cream that appeared on the menu but not in the kitchen. Drinks: Five stars for Roger’s Doppelbock and a beer-lover’s beer menu. Service: Minus three stars for thirty minutes spent listening to a loudmouthed, hyperactive, undisciplined and totally out of parental control child, with no action whatever by an obviously experienced staff. This was not a case of a suddenly crying child, where a responsible parent would have taken it outside. This was a child talking loudly and constantly from the moment the family entered, sometimes running around the table and always ignoring every half-hearted parental attempt at control. Nor did the parents appear disturbed by its behavior; apparently, this was the child’s normal behavior and the parents’ normal, utterly ineffectual response. Indeed, the mother’s «shushings» seemed more for the benefit of other patrons than the child, who never obeyed her for an instant. The child never should have been brought into a restaurant in the first place, and staff should have asked the parents to leave. Ambience: Three stars for the clean but average diner interior. Noise Level: Minus three stars. See«Service,» above. Price: Average. Summary: Stick with the pizza and beer and hope that staff does not have to confront an unruly patron. It either does not know how to do that or assumes that its other patrons should live with the problem.

Clean, great food, friendly staff, and nice bathrooms! I’m so glad I stopped here and not a typical run down restaurant over the pass. I had the feta salad(delicious and only $ 3!) and a personal pizza. Delicious! I will be back for sure!

Great place! My husband and I are truckers and we were tired of truck stop food. We wanted a good hamburger and this place did not disappoint! The burger was big, tasty, fresh and hand cut homemade fries to go with it. Their beer and wine list is very impressive(no Budweiser immediately elevates a joint in my book!). It’s clean, service was prompt and friendly. Menu is basic Americana, pizza and burgers. I will definately stop here every time I am able.

We stopped in here on our way to back pack in the Mt Hood National Forest and I was impressed with the juiciness of the burger, soft fresh ciabatta bun, and runny egg. Good fries too. It is clean and has quaint little décor pieces, looks like maybe new owners took over an old grungy road stop and fixed it up. I was hoping to try their brunch, but got there too late. I’d definitely go back if I head out that way again.

This restaurant serves the homemade kinda food I yearn for. Many restaurants now a days don’t make anything from scatch. I tried their homemade vinegar ailoli and was not disappointed at all.(if you don’t like vinegar, this is not for you.) Amazing. We had the green bean fries, stuffed mushrooms and burgers. All were delicious. I can’t wait to try their eclectic breakfast menu.

What a great stop! When you walk in it is obvious this place is clean and the owner takes pride in the restaurant. I read the reviews about how fresh everything here was and they were spot on. We shared a mush, Swiss burger that did not disappoint. The bun seemed to me like it was fresh baked and you could tell the meat was primo. Fries even had the perfect texture and salt blend. All the employees were pleasant and well kept. Nice parking lot and quick to the table. Will eat here again. Left here feeling great!
