Read the great reviews & looked forward to trying this place out– but I must admit, I left a little underwhelmed. Maybe an off night? Although I hesitate to order chicken as an entrée at most places(tendency to be dry or overcooked), their chicken entrée looked like the perfect simple meal I was craving. Unfortunately, the chicken was under seasoned & dry — I couldn’t even finish it. The sides, however, were delicious(purple potatoes & kale)! And my husband really enjoyed his burgers & fries. And the ambiance was great. Hence, 3 stars.

Big time flavors and festive atmosphere. The Fork can compete with any of the bigger city popular restaurants in Boulder. The new enclosed back porch is wonderful! Great for dinners or brunch. Menu is always inventive and changes. Simply love the Fork!

way… way…way overpriced and salt laden food. I mean a LOT of salt. over easy eggs had overwhelming salt taste. 13 dollars for 1 biscuit and 2 eggs. not worth it. and apparently if you make reservation, you get table for whole day walked in and had 1 table occupied, but all others reserved for when someone who called ahead.“might” arrive… avoid…

My favorite restaurant in Lyons. They have great food and their truffle fries are to die for. They are open every day and for brunch too so the hours are excellent.

After a 6 mile hike, coming into Lyons was a welcoming site. This place had great cocktails, friendly service, friendly conversations at the bar and the food was great. I had the udon noodle soup as an appetizer. It’s delicious and quite filling. It was borderline entrée size; but that’s OK with me because I was hungry. It was served with perfectly cooked udon noodles and the vegetables were soft yet crisp. Talent there! I chose the pecan crusted salmon for the entrée. When it says encrusted, they mean it. It wasn’t dusted because the whole salmon was covered with sliced pecans. It’s definitely a great place. The main restaurant has only a few tables; but there are seats at the bar and a whole enclosure in the back. No problem. Parking was easy. I parked on the street; but later learned that there is parking in the rear.

Stopped by with my son for brunch after hiking. Great old building a a great small place atmosphere. The pork belly is the best I’ve ever had. Melt in your mouth good. My son had a short rib poutine and an equally delicious side of bacon. Super fast and friendly service. Reasonably priced.

When we asked some locals about a good spot for dinner, this was the place that was recommended. We didn’t go for dinner, but stopped in for breakfast. It was right when they opened and we were the first customers. The server explained that this was the 2nd day on their new brunch menu, so we were excited to give it a try. No one had made coffee yet, so we had to wait a while for that. I ordered the Duck Confit Hash, my husband the Morning After, which was simple enough — just eggs and bacon, fruit and a bagel(which shouldn’t have an up-charge as it’s the same price on the menu as toast, but I digress). My meal was great, the eggs cooked just right. My husband’s eggs — though also ordered medium — were barely cooked. Some of the whites weren’t at all. He didn’t return them, but I’m disappointed that something as simple as eggs weren’t done right. The food took a long time to come out as well — which is fine — but I expect better if that’s the case. The bagel was also served dry, nor was he asked if he’d like anything to go with it, which we found odd. We were also charged $ 2.00 additional for the bagel when the server told us $ 1.00 at the time of ordering. When asked about it he said he just pushed a button and it happened, but he didn’t tell us about it nor tried to correct it till pointed out… it’s just a buck, not a big deal. It just helped to shape the overall experience. The food was good, I see how some have had good dining experiences here. Ours was not.

Pork belly was tasty, but menu exceeds kitchen staff’s ability to execute. Surprisingly expensive and slow service. Never coming back.

Great service! Super casual hip styling. Food was really creative and fresh. Best truffle fries I have ever had. We came for brunch & I had the chilaqules. Yum! Best ever, I think it was their jerk seasoning that made this dish so memorable. Highly recommend!

This has become a fixture in Lyons and a regular stop for us when in the area. Innovative menu with great taste and presentation. Reasonable prices for this level of fare. The only problem is seating is limited and you might have to wait a bit.

Amazing brunch on Sunday traveling back from Estes Park. Had the Spirithound Orange Blossom which was delish.(Gin, OJ, sweet vermouth) and the southwestern omelette. Service was amazing. We arrived here at 1PM and they were out of hash browns.(Insert sad face here)

Fork Lyons is the place before or after visiting Estes Park. Truffle Fries to die for. Garlic aioli, their own catsup… great way to start! Very creative seasonal menu, large margaritas, craft beers, attentive service.

Love live and Eat at the Lyons Fork! We have enjoyed the Fork many times but this seasons menu with the Cheese tid bits was so incredible house made ricotta, mozzarella, bacon wrapped dates and so much more on the platter. Love that we feel great about eating there homemade food-centric creations! Not many restaurants in a small town have the creativity of this one!

I always eat here during festival weekend and have never been disappointed. I did miss the omelet this year as it wasn’t on the festival brunch menu. One of the best burgers I’ve had, tastes like sirloin. Crème burle outrageous but not typically firm. Catfish really good, and try the little tacos. Fresh salads.

We stopped here on the way home from Estes after reading the other reviews. One of a kind atmosphere(kind of a Santa Fe meets Colorado mountain town) with great art work, charming details and lots of natural light. The food was tasty too. Hubby got a winter salad loaded with fruits and pecans and a great dressing. I got a hamburger that was juicy and tasted fresh along with the truffle fries. The fries were not quite as exciting as I had hoped(They mostly tasted like fries), but were still good(smaller, shoestring style). We did not get cocktails, but the list was extensive. We’d commented that it would be fun to return for a boozy brunch. Maybe next time!

Such a cute little place! Great cocktails, great atmosphere both inside and outback, and very friendly service! Gourmet food in a casual enough setting that we’re comfortable bringing our infant daughter and sitting out back for a nice long dinner! The menu is a bit limited, but everything we’ve tried is perfectly prepared. The flavor combos are fun, and they clearly use high-quality ingredients.

Heading down from a weekend in Estes we wanted to stop off and get some brunch before going to a Rockies game. I Unilocaled and came up with the Lyons Fork; a cute name for a restaurant that sits at the fork of two highways(or maybe it is about cutlery?). There is some parking around back, but we actually didn’t know that and parked easily on a side street(free, no meters in Lyons!). When we walked in there was one family in the dining room and the back patio was packed, so we opted for inside. The cute, eclectic décor included art from local artists and a rustic vibe. Our waitress was friendly and prompt. I went with a BLAT(Bacon, lettuce, avocado and tomato) sandwich and truffle fries. I liked the sandwich so much I came home and made BLTs later that week. They had thick bread, hearty amounts of bacon and fresh avocado. Plus the truffle fries were subtle in flavor and well fried(crispy). I would definitely recommend this if in the area. It does seem really popular and after a half hour sitting there it did get crazy busy, but it was worth it!

We wanted a place for brunch on our way back from Estes to Denver and found this little gem in Lyons that serves brunch on Sundays. They were packed at about 10am with the patio completely full so we sat in the dining room and within about 15 minutes every table got full. Service was quick altho it took what felt like forever for our food to actually come out. I got the Hangover Special — which was bacon, eggs, potatoes and bread. I thought the eggs were okay, but the bacon was a little chewy and not crispy at all. The potatoes were a little chewy, too, but still good. Overall, this is a 3 star place. I’d come back if I were driving thru, but would probably try something else.
