Oh the joy of Woo Woo’s. This place has been around for quite some time, family owned and there’s actually a few other locations that continue to pop up. People might complain that they’re slow but it’s because they’re making everything fresh. I’m definitely up for waiting on some fresh hot food any day. Just call your order in advance and it’ll solve that problem. I’m always up for some fried tilapia or catfish with mild sauce and my brother loves the wings. I’m choosing woo Woo’s over sharks any day

Woo Woo’s is ok with me. It’s a longstanding family business with a great owner, Chuck. Although it’s a bbq joint, you’re better off skipping the que & ordering the chicken or hot links. The wait can take a while, so call ahead. They use a lot of garlic power on the chicken, but it works well with their original sauce. It’s more like mild sauce than bbq sauce. With limited options in the area, this is a solid option to satisfy cheat day cravings.

The Woo Woo’s on 147th has closed so I checked out this one on the way home recently. Before ordering I talked to a customer awaiting his food. He said he’d ordered ahead and still had to wait a half hour for one large and one small order of rib tips. Slowness was my problem with the other Woo Woo’s. I just don’t understand what the wait is for. Do they microwave the food after you order? If so, why does that take so long? I ordered a small rib tip($ 9.99). Tell me why they chop the tips so narrow that there are bone slivers and fragments in them? The sauce was mediocre. When the other Woo Woo’s was cooking good they had a nice smoky taste. No smoky taste here. I’d asked how long it would take and was told 10 minutes. Took about 20 minutes. Order taker told me the other Woo Woo’s had been a franchise. Said, «we have a good product, but the other place was unable to keep true to it.» Was not impressed with the tips. May try something else someday but can’t recommend and am in no rush to get back there. Sad there’s no really GREAT rib joint in the south suburbs. Rib B Ribs is totally wack. Chicago Barbecue and Blues is just ok. Let me know when you find(or open) a great place! BTW – if you go be sure to ask for your receipt. When the order taker did bring my food HE asked ME if I’d paid for it!!!

I’m from Chicago and moved to the south suburbs 5 years ago I would have to go back to the city to get good food, I heard that woo woo had good barbeque it was a complete lie. I ordered a tip and link combo to get home and only have 6 thick tips all fat covered in sauce that I did not want and no links. The tips taste like they boiled it in vinegar and cooked it in the microwave cause it didn’t have no smoked taste at all. The French fries was soaked in sauce and hard like pieces of wood. My husband ordered gizzards that taste like salt pellets with cheap hot sauce and he asked for mild sauce. This was one of the worst experiences I ever had. I guess the people who do go there have no other choice and just don’t know better. So from now on I would take that drive cause woo woo is Boo Boo.

Husband and I ordered the catfish fillet, absolutely succulent and delicious. It wasn’t too salty or too bland, just right. Enjoyed it so much that my husband called them back to tell them how much we enjoyed their food.
