Tam’s Burgers No 9

Been coming here since 1998. Im addicted to the fries and the thousand island. This was the spot after late nights.

If I’m craving chili cheese fries or a big breakfast burrito I come here. The food has been good on all four of my visits. Quick and prompt service each time. I will be trying other items on the menu soon!

Not much of a place to dine in, and the drive thru is always busy. I’d still recommend their chilli cheese fries and breakfast burrito.

Sorry and pathetic John act like bitch and the lady that looks like a man act like a bitch too. I ordered a pastrami with no mustard and they opened the sandwich and wiped the mustard off in front of me like I just didn’t watch them do that. On top of seeing cooked hamburger patties with raw hamburger patties.

Too expensive. For just two breakfast meals $ 21.49?! No thank you. So if you go with all your family, expect to give them your whole paycheck.

Why? Why do I keep eating here? I tell myself it’s the best of what’s available, but that’s no excuse. The Chilli Cheese Fries alone might give you cancer. This cannot be good for me. Have I completely given up?
Ugh, me want Carne Asada Burrito…

I love their chili cheese fries. Out of all the Tams I’ve been too this one is the one that is always packed, especially at night! They really need to get their intercom fixed because it’s crappy as hell!

The drive thur takes to long. wasted my gas!!! and the service there is bad they give u attitude

Really ghetto location. Feel like im going to get robbed one day.
They need to fix the drive thru speaker; loud and sounds horrible.
The burgers here are not 99cents like other locations.
The spread is definitely watered down compared to other tams.
Never coming back to this location.

Amazing! Went there for breakfast today for myself and the family, ordered a breakfast burrito and hash browns… I regret ordering the hash browns cause the burrito is insanely big! Delicious!!!

Very tasty hamburgers and grilled chicken dinner! chili cheese fries are the best! I’ve been coming here for years! Prices have gone up, and you need to ask for chiles!

Oh, what can I say about Tam’s? It’s crazy delicious!
LA is known for these greasy spoon hamburger joints: Tam’s, Tom’s, Bobo’s, Primo’s, etc., but by far Tam’s is my absolute favorite. It’s always a must do to my trips to Lynwood.
My usual is the pastrami or cheeseburger special served with warm, crispy fries and a Coke. The food is always made to order, and you get the bang for your buck! The portions are large, which is one of my favorite things about them.
Can’t wait to go back!

I tried their pita steak sandwich. It’s awful! Its two pita breads with cheep white American cheese with chopped up Mexican style steak meat. It should be called a, Mexican pita with carne asada quesadilla. The meat alone had good flavor but their tomato salsa tasted bad and the guacamole had a brown tint to it. I’ll say no more. Over all I waisted my money here.

The 1.00 service fee using for a Debit Card was an annoyance, but the Homeless Drunk (standing right next to the Order Window) DEMANDING that I buy him a Double Cheeseburger was unacceptable. When I declined, he wanted to go outside and fight. Manager, Security, Police, SOMEONE has to maintain order if you want to keep customers in your restaurant.

I’ll say why this place gets 5 stars… only because of the pita steak sandwich combo!!! Best I’ve ever had!!! Comes in a pita bread with a heavy load of steak with fries. This plate is more than enough for 2 people. Believe me, I tried to finish it myself but found it impossible.
Located right in the borderline of Lynwood and Compton just right off the 105 Freeway, Tam’s is just like your any other location. Small inside with limited seating, the drive thru is the worst! The line extends right into Long Beach Blvd and anybody who is familiar with the area knows that not only is it a big street, but this area is not one of the safest!
I’ve tried just about every burger combo, but the Pita steak sandwich combo just knocks it off the park for me!!!

Ha ha !!! Told you i was going to write a review welp food is always awesome, but i have a problem with service you always charge me for the thousand islands sauce really ?? And in long beach tams on anaheim they never charge me for the thousand island sauce why is that?

Their service i awesome, as long as you don’t mind being in the ghetto!
The parking lot is big and drive thru is fast and not sloppy at all!
The inside is always clean (well at least the times that I’ve gone)

COLD FOOD!!! DON’T COME HERE… I complained that my food was cold and they microwaved it!
This place is a joke…

We hit up this drive-​thru in the middle of the night on our drive down to Anaheim from LAX (after an extremely delayed flight, we were famished and there wasn’t much open). We’re from Hawaii, and had never heard of Tam’s, but they were open and there was a line (at 1am this is usually a good sign!). We tried the chicken tenders (good) and chili cheese fries (awesome).
I gotta say, I’m somewhat of a chili cheese fry connoisseur (I’ve gotten them all over the country) and these were one of the best I’ve ever tried! The small size was ginormous and weighed like 10 pounds (okay, not THAT much, but still, it was hella big!). I was sad that I couldn’t sit down and properly enjoy these bad boys like they deserved to be eaten.
Next time I’m in the area, I’m definitely stopping in to try this again.
