This restaurant off the main road is the closest to authentic Chinese food I’ve been to in a long time. You cannot go wrong with anything on the menu. Everything we ordered was delicious. The portions are great, price is just right. The service was pretty good too. Definitely coming back for more!

Don’t eat the barbecue Pork. It was gray and green. They claim authentic but I say the truth is in the smell :(

I ordered Mongolian beef and General Tsao’s Chicken. I haven’t tried other things so far. I especially liked the Mongolian beef. Ordered it twice.

I’m hugely disappointed in the customer service provided on a delivery order today. At 3:30, I placed an order on GrubHub which included vegetarian hand shaved noodles(which I’ve ordered in the past with no trouble) and at 4:30 had the order delivered. Turns out the the noodles had shrimp, beef, and chicken in them. I called the restaurant directly as instructed, and was assured they would redeliver the correct order within an hour. At 7:15 the redelivery had not arrived, so I attempted to resolve the issue with GrubHub directly. At 8:00 when it did arrive, there was yet again meat in the noodles. They refuse to refund the full amount of my order, after multiple errors on their behalf. I won’t be eating here again, and would discourage others from ordering as well.

Worst Chinese food I have ever had. I ordered for delivery. The Mongolian beef had a HUGE puddle of reddish grease in the bottom of the container like they scooped it out with a ladle. I expected the barbequed pork to be nice and tender. I opened the container and the barbequed pork was GRAY and had a faint odor to it. Needless to say I didn’t eat it. I will never order from this dump again.

I was disappointed after reading so many favorable reviews. We ordered 3 dishes and one was a mistake on our part(more on that in a moment) so it’s not necessarily a criticism of the restaurant. But two dishes were very poorly prepared. First, our mistake — we ordered a «hand-shaved noodles» dish and while this is very good in theory, and perhaps they did a great job on it, the result is noodles that are extremely thick and chewy — more like dumplings. Some may enjoy this; it reminded me of spaetzle or Hungarian dumplings known as «galuska» — which are very dense, doughy dumplings. But they weren’t «noodles» as such, that one could wrap around chopsticks, if that is what one is expecting. As to the other two dishes — the scallion pancake was more like a cracker. Normally that dish is crispy on the outside and lightly gummy on the inside, with a pronounced presences of scallions, but these were very think and crispy, with a few green flecks. The worst dish of all, though, which would make me reluctant to give the restaurant a second try, was the twice-cooked pork. It was flavored alright, and included«al dente» cabbage, all good so far — but the pork was half fat. By that I mean it was as if bacon slices had been used, so that for each small strip of pork there was an equal amount of fat attached to it. At first I thought perhaps I had run into some pork pieces that hadn’t been trimmed carefully, so I cut off the fat portion. But as I examined the rest of the dish almost all of the pork slices were half meat and half fat. This made the whole thing a greasy, inedible mess. I have ordered this dish elsewhere numerous times over the years(and prepared it myself from cookbook recipes) so had no reason to believe that it is supposed to be that way. I mention this because I’m aware that there are traditional Chinese dishes that are based on very fatty pork, but this is not one of them. Given the nearly inedible nature of everything we ordered, unfortunately, this restaurant will not satisfy my quest for Szechuan-style cooking in the north-of-Seattle area.

I used to frequent the old Sezchuan on 99 restaurant that was here previously and was saddened by the replacement but I’ve now become of fan of Taste of Sichuan as well. We go for lunch, order one lunch special and two soups and eat for $ 9. The Sichuanese items(dumplings in chili oil, twice cooked pork) are good but so are the other non-Sichuan food as well as the American-Chinese such as Mongolian Beef. Their Mongolian beef is one of the best around. When we sit down the waitress asks us if we want our usual even if we haven’t been in for a couple of months. I love places like this.

This is the only authentic Sichuan style restaurant in town. If you like spicy food and can handle numb pepper, it will satisfy you. However I’m picky eater. I think most dishes are too salty and too greasy. I will still go to this restaurant once awhile but not often.

I’m giving it a three because my spouse loved it(5⁄5) and I didn’t(1⁄5). We ordered delivery. I thought the food was greasy and flavorless, but my spouse thought it was authentic and delicious. Rarely do we disagree so strongly on a restaurant. Since my spouse loved it, we’ll probably try it again. If I change my mind I will also change the score.

I order smoked pork with fried rice for lunch today. When they took my order, they never said that they where out of eggs and fried rice was not available. They wanted to give me white rice, no thank you. As I’m eating my food with no rice, I see a plate with fried rice. I asked my server why that person has fried rice. The owner/server told me that the eggs where just delivered a second ago. REALLY! Don’t lie to your customers because they won’t come back and they pass the word around. And the words spreads quickly… don’t bother to eat here. Nothing special. Panda has better Chinese food!

This is one of our go to places for Chinese. We are usually always pleased with our order. The pot stickers are some of the best we have found from trying other places in the area. We also like general’s chicken, chicken curry noodles, and garlic chicken. We tried the hand shaved noodles and they were good but doughy. If you are looking for great food this is a great place!

I was pleasantly surprised by this place. So much of the food in the Lynnwood area is garbage that I really had low expectations. However, my food was really good! The General Tso’s chicken is better than many that I’ve or my friends have ever had, including some from really expensive and stuffy places. The mushroom chicken(or something like that) was good, with tasty mushrooms and a subtly salty sauce. Be careful, the mapo tofu is pretty spicy and will cause you some issues the next morning, but it is worth it. I order it in the more traditional way, with ground pork This place is going to get me fat.

So I am really pissed off. I saved most of my order to reheat later. I reheat the left overs and there is beef in my food. I do not eat meat. I was wondering why my stomach was hurting. Why I was throwing up. Clearly this place is just as careless as other dives. DON’T EATANYTHINGFROMTHISPLACEEVER! I will say that Eat 24 customer service is incredible. I will be a loyal customer of eat 24 However I will never order from Taste of Sichuan ever again. They should be shut down. If anyone on Unilocal knows of a great Sichuan Restaurant please let me know.

So I am sick at home and need some soup and I love hot and sour soup. I order a few other items on the menu as well. They did not bring sauce for the pot stickers or rice for the sesame chicken. The hot and sour soup has not flavor. I have only one other time not liked my hot and sour soup. The soup has lots of veggies, mushrooms and tofu but is lacking in the flavor department. However the chicken and the steamed pot stickers are very good. I would really like to give them 3 and a half stars but I am not sure how to do that. So I gave them 4 stars because we have a small family business and the stars on Unilocal make a difference to the reviews. I guess you just need to know what to order. Not the soup

So actually brought friends to their physical restaurant last week. We wanted to check out their kitchen and meet some of the folks. Have to say we were treated very well and the food was again stellar! — Eggplant tofu was awesome — green onion pancakes were perfect — General Tsao’s chicken @3 stars was flavorful and delicious — salt and pepper wings were crispy and tasty — honey walnut chicken was a great balance of sweet and savory — I had the handout noodles with pork again, which tastes like a potsticker exploded into a bowl! Just Awesome savory dish. — LASTLY, the chicken fried rice was excellent. Not overdone, not too salty, just spot on. So yeah, I can without hesitation recommend this place! The restaurant is small, and most of the parking is on the east side of the building. Décor was simple, but warm and inviting. Very clean.

There’s a certain kind of hole-in-the-wall place that’s indispensable in every neighborhood, and these guys do it for their area(and I’m grateful, because this is my area too). They have a pretty beat-up-looking old building on a side street off Highway 99, which puts them in a less-glamorous section of town. Not that there are glamorous sections of this town – but you don’t come here for the glamor. They have a small parking lot, and a bustling delivery business. Inside, there’s sturdy furniture, everything’s clean, and there’s a nice coat of paint on the walls. But nothing is extravagant, to be sure. You might be justified in saying that, from the outside, it appears to be a bit of a dump. But step inside and everything’s alright. The staff here are nice, and for most of the folks working the front of the house, chatting in English is not a problem at all. They have a long menu, and prices are fair. What really sets this place apart is the food. They aren’t the only ones doing decent Szechuan in town, and if you head farther south into Seattle, you’ll find quite a few more. But these guys definitely do it well. I’ve ordered delivery and takeout from them probably a dozen times, maybe more. Sometimes solo, sometimes for up to ten people. We’ve plowed through a whole bunch of the menu over the last few months – hand-shaven dandan noodles, cumin beef, cold cucumber appetizer, hot and sour soup, cumin lamb, other spicy noodle dishes served hot or cold. There have been a couple dishes I honestly wasn’t quite sure how to eat, but everything has shown complex and wonderful flavors. Occasionally you run into a dish with a higher oil content, but not beyond anything I’ve seen at other Szechuan places. They do an amazing job of infusing deep and complex flavors into their dishes without leaving things heavy or pasty or greasy(aside from the aforementioned oil, which sometimes merits a bit of draining). I love the explosive flavors here, and I keep coming back. Seems like every time someone else joins me, they keep coming back, too.

Great food and great service. I am pretty apprehensive when it comes to Chinese restaurants. In my experience the food often isn’t any different than others but with this place the quality and quantity was fantastic. I did not feel sick after eating it which means they dont cloud their dishes with excess msg and oils. The service i had stood out. I was greeted with a warm smile. The environment was spotless and there was more than enough space in the restaurant. Highly recommended.

Service was great, food was mediocre.(the EXACT opposite of when this place was Szechuan 99). Ordered food for pick up — was told 15 minutes and it was ready in 15 minutes! my mind was blown. Then I get there and they told me my order qualified for free soup! AWESOME! However, the food was kinda bland. Boyfriend thought sesame beef was meh but portion size was generous. Honey Walnut Prawn were HUGE pieces of prawn but incredibly flavorless. The sauce was also on one side of the box with prawn on the others. Salt & Pepper Tofu is very literally peppered but all the pepper & garlic in the box was flavorless & the tofu was mostly limp(not crispy). Szechuan 99 is where I tried Salt & Pepper Tofu for the first time and it was AMAZING — my boyfriend said I’ve been chasing the dragon ever since… This wasn’t that tofu :(It was $ 35 for Honey Walnut Shrimp, Salt & Pepper Tofu & Sesame Beef + free large soup(for hitting $ 30). I will probably eat here again but nothing I’m craving.

I really enjoy this place now that it has been cleaned up and taken care of. I’ve been here twice and had great service and awesome food both times. I recommend the Sichuan tofu and bok Choy and mushroom. The crispy orange beef is good too as is the chicken and green bean dish.

We have been coming here since they first opened and I have just one question: How do they make every dish and every experience consistently amazing? Today we decided to switch it up and have moo shu chicken and honey walnut chicken. Can I just say both were heaven on a plate. The pancakes for the moo shy were nice and thin with so much flavor. The chicken was so tasty it didn’t need the hoisin sauce that came with it. That was some delicious food, but it was nothing compared to the amazingly tasty honey walnut chicken. Each piece of chicken was delicately deep fried with a delicious but not too sweet sauce. The walnuts were perfectly crunchy and sweet. Now, we tried a couple of new things, but my go-to dish is the hand-shaved noodles. You MUST try this dish — it’s so wonderful. The noodles are the perfect size, shape and flavor — but the sauce and the tender meat and shrimp create the ultimate dish that you will want to order again and again. So, the only thing that makes the food even better is the service. Every single staff member is sweet, attentive and prompt. This restaurant has come such a long way from the dive it once was. So very bright and spacious. The colors are wonderful and the lighting is bright. Oh yes, if you have a large group, they can accommodate you. If you are in Lynnwood, I STRONGLY encourage you to give them a try. If you aren’t in Lynnwood, it’s worth the trip for food that’s easily as good(if not better) than anything you’ll get in The International District!
