1st time ordering here, but we’ll order again. Doing house remodels, so we ordered delivery. Food was here with 45 mins. Everything was delicious.

Lived in the area and have driven past this place weekly and never gave it a second thought. We tried it for the first time last night and was very pleasantly surprised. I can’t decide if the food is better or the service, but both were amazing! We ordered a couple items, the gyro was pretty standard but the shawarma plate is what will bring me back. Good variety of home-made sauces to top it all off. I love tzatziki but they take it to another level with their sauce blends, not just your basic tzatziki. Great food and service for a great price. Will definitely be back for more!

Came here to get food for my sons school project on Egypt. Amazing service! They took the time to teach us about the food and help us pick items that would be good to serve tomorrow at school. My son even got a drawing from Egypt to add to his project, thank you!

Great food, reasonable prices, so nice to have a quality Med place(featuring Egyptian specialties) in the north end!

It is very rare to find an Egyptian restaurant. Most Arabic food is more Lebanese style(if anything). Although you will find many familiar items here(hummus, baba ghanouj, kebabs, shawarma etc), you will also find many items that are Egyptian specialties. A very good thing! There were a number of items I wanted to try on the menu, but I went with an old favorite Molokhia soup. Molokhia is based on a special herb and is typically made with chicken or even more authentically rabbit. But they had a veggie broth version, which I went with. Despite being vegetarian, the soup had plenty of flavor. It was delicious. Note that this may not be for just anybody. The herb has a wonderful taste but gives the soup a slimy texture, very much like okra. My husband ordered the veggie plate, which is his usual go to for Middle Eastern. It came with the usual: hummus, baba ghanouj, falafel, salad, and a tomato eggplant dish. The food was very well done. We are always looking for good baba ghanouj and this was excellent. Falafel was amazing. Very light on the inside and extra crispy on the outside. The tomato eggplant dish was similarly excellent. We also ordered gyros and chicken nuggets for the kids and I couldn’t resist getting the Egyptian bread pudding for dessert. The bread pudding was a little too sweet(pretty typical of Arabic sweets) but it was delicious. Very addicting. Now onto the bad. If this review was based on the food alone, it would be getting a solid 4 star. Maybe even more. But the prices are on the high side for the portion size and the service is incredibly slow. My husband’s veggie platter was surprisingly small and he left the restaurant still hungry. My bowl of soup was also small(although it didn’t cost too much). The sandwiches are a much better deal here and I would suggest those. The service is friendly but very, very slow. Be prepared for a long, leisurely meal. Not good when you have young children.

One of my new favorite restaurants. I haven’t had anything disappointing yet. Great veggie/vegan options. One of the best baclavas I’ve found in the area. The staff are friendly, and their recommendations are always spot on. The service is very fast. So far I have loved the Koushary, the Kapsa(a special of the day), the lentil soup, baclava, coffee, tea, every sauce they’ve brought, and my dinner mate also recommends the shawarma.

Great food and friendly knowledgeable service. We had the falafel and and eggplant humus(forgot what it was called) appetizers and both were very good. My girlfriend had the lemon grass mint drink, which was very tasty and refreshing, I had the mango juice which was also very good. For dinner we had the lamb shank on a bed of smoked rice, and the chicken shwarma on a bed of smoked rice. The rice is amazing, never had anything like it. Both meats were tender amd very well seasoned and tasted great. Lamb was fall off the bone tender. Very good sized portions, we took food home. Highy recommended King Tut when your in the mood for Mediterranean food.

Awesome food. Flavor-wise??? Just perfect to my taste bud. I know the owner of this place and they are lovely couple. I know this place is very clean and well taken care of. So, there’s that. My favorite: their yellow long grain rice. Idk what flavor it is but it’s very good. I don’t have their menu down but salads are fantastic. They have so many good dishes y’all have to try one of these days. Totally worth trying. They have their own private lot parking, cater and reasonable menu.

I ate here almost daily during my conference conveniently located mere blocks from embassy suites hotel. The hummus and pita bread was sublime, I fell in love with this and the gyro sandwich. I also tried the lamb shank that came on a huge bed of fragrant rice and a thrillingly fresh side Mediterranean salad. Proprietor was awesome this is the real deal for a much larger Mediterranean menu. Don’t let the strip mall scare you off.

Our first time in today! So glad we found this place. It was good, but I wish we got a little salad with the Lamb Shank. Good sauce, and great combo plate. Wish it were a tiny bit more spicy. But everyone cooks differently! Super nice guys, and having just moved from downtown Seattle where there seem to be more dining options, I will put King Tut on our short list. Price was fine, because when you make real food, its expensive…

I’ve been coming to this area for years and I never thought this was a restaurant. In fact I thought they sold carpets. The name of the restaurant doesn’t scream«we sell kabobs». King Tut’s picture and his headdress made me think«we sell fancy rugs». They make all kinds of food and it’s all customizable. It’s like being in Egypt. I ordered the half chicken and rice. They call it «mandy». It’s a Yemeni/Saudi dish. You can also order it with lamb. Both are good. My friend had the lamb. The rice was a bit dry however. The portions they give are very big. For some people you could even split with another person. I also ordered a kofta sandwich which is ground beef with spices. The sandwich has tahini sauce and some veggies. They use an entire pita bread so it’s pretty massive. The sandwich tasted good. It came with fries as well. I didn’t taste them but they were the skinny fries not the thicker ones that usually come with gyros. They also cater food and will make a whole lamb on top of rice. When I say«whole lamb» I mean the entire animal — head and all. Very traditional food. They also cook«kawara’a» which is a dish using the legs and the whole head including eyes, brain and tongue. It’s a very healthy dish. Brains are good for stamina. :-) Don’t worry, this is not something I eat everyday! The woman there, who I think is the owner, was very friendly and nice. The place was very clean and they were playing some nice Egyptian music. I definitely recommend this place!

$ 4.50 for extra sauce The food was good but the portions are small. For $ 16 combination platter I was expecting I would be full and will need a box but I was barely just full myself. DONTASKFORMORESAUCE unless you’re willing to pay another 5 dollars. That is a rip off since they don’t even tell you ahead of time.

Excellent food — chicken shawarma and kabob were yummy. The rice that accompanies most entres is great along with spicy sauce. The fish was a little charred, but tasty. The ambience is family style and not very elegant, so 4 star just for the food. The Egyptian coffee does the job of waking one up. The Egyptian mango juice was only average concentrate based one(not fresh juice)

Looking for something new and delicious. Walked in to a very nice, authentic simple furnished mediterranean dining. They are egyptian, very friendly and the food smelled delicious. The prices may be a little high to some people, but for authentic food; it is the norm. The one thing I’m not a fan of is the very little portion of meat when you order a kabob. For the price there should be at least another stick or more meat on one. I was told he understands about there being only one skewer(but pieces are bigger here).I still believe he should maybe lower price by a buck at least. You want people to like the portions and not feel cheated. I tried the chicken and it was lacking in the flavor I am used to for Mediterranean food. It was good, but not much flavor. I tried it with the salad and the cilantro dressing and it added a lot more flavor. They have amazingly big bottles of coka cola and sprite which look awesome. The coca cola is from mexico which taste sweeter and better for those of you who haven’t had it; it’s way better than regular coca cola. 4 stars because of the little amount of meat.(People try mediterranean food for the meat and flavor.) If they are going to have less meat they should lower prices a little. Other than that the food is delicious. Will be back to try some other things!

Food was mediocre to me to be honest. Rice was a bit stale and the menu wasn’t as varied as i hoped. The service was very good so it wasn’t in danger of getting a negative review. I felt tightly squeezed in in tables too. This is something that matters to me in dining.

The King Tut ranks right at the top of mediterranean restaurants in Puget Sound. Owned by an Egyptian couple, the husband confessed to me that his wife is the culinary genious. The«King Tut Supreme» is their signature entrée on their menu. Essentially a 3-meat kabob on saffron rice with cucumber salad… YUM…this is one of the most satisfying delicious meals I’ve ever eaten! Pictures of famous historic Egyptian artists adorn the walls of the restaurant and a beautiful portrait of the King Tut sarcophagus sets the mood. The restaurant is clean and quiet and the food is perfectly prepared. This is a 5-star experience!

If it wasn’t for the portion sizes, I could recommend King Tut. 1 skewer of meat(beef kebab or chicken kebab) for 10 bucks, though? You must be joking. Never again. Waiting an hour for delivery and then having to cook dinner anyway is unforgivable.

It really sucks when you really really want to like a place, but it just falls short of your standards. WHY do you have to be like this? Especially because I love, love, love Mediterranean food!!! The first time I come here, they forget my dessert. I am sad because I love baklava. But they make up for it next time. But the thrice times I’ve been here, I have just been disappointed because I will just straight up say that their meat is hella hard, and not tender, and just tastes so tough, it’s hard to freakin’ chew. And one time, I was intoxicated, I thought it would help, but it really didn’t. I have had their king tut supreme(15.75) and I will say it was disappointing. The meats(lamb, beef, chicken) were so wrong. well, except for the chicken. The chicken was amazingly tender and flavorful. I loved it. But the lamb and beef were so tough. Seriously. I had never ever had tough lamb before. And this one was just all wrong. I wanted to love it because the rice was good, the sauce was good, but the meats were just not cooked the way I would’ve enjoyed them. I believe I ordered the lamb and beef shawarma plate. sigh. It was so tough. It tasted like overcooked steak that you really don’t want to eat, but you have to because you can’t waste food. Wasting food is a big no no! Yeah, the meats were so disappointing. I forced myself to eat it so I wouldn’t feel so bad about not liking it. Again, the rice was good, but the meats just don’t cut it for me. And I really want to like this place. This place has the sweetest family running it. They’re kind, generous, and really try to get to know you. But the cooking is not doing it for me. The flavors are there for the marinades and the rice, but the hard pieces of meat I endure are not something I enjoy. Their portions aren’t that big for meat. They give you like 3x the portion of rice to meat. Unfortunately, I don’t want to return as much as I like the people who own it. Oh – I will boast to say that the baklava is great though. Probably the only GREAT thing on the menu.

The food and service were good here. I ordered the chicken shawarma and coffee. The chicken tasted a bit different than I expected but that could be an Egyptian way of making? It was still good. I really liked the rice and loved the sauce. The coffee was great too. I will come back because the combination of the chicken, rice, pita, and sauce are so good!

Fantastic first experience here today, which happened to be 20 days short of their 2 year anniversary at the location. It was easily one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. The service was fantastic and the food was INCREDIBLE. I started with the Baba Ghanouj, followed it up with the Kofta, and finished it off with some Turkish Coffee. The flavors were out of this world, the prices were very fair, and I will be recommending this restaurant to any and everyone that I can. I hope this restaurant stays here for a very long time and I will do my part to see that that happens! :) You will not be disappointed!
